Okay - maybe I'm behind here. Says they are downplaying the connection to Holly. On the news - they made it sound like he was being arrested specifically because of Holly. Now I see that is not the case.

The news also said they were searching his apartment in TN. Is that also old news?

Look UP! I have been watching the headlines on the news since early this morning. I have not had time to actually hear a news report or read an article - but I'm making time right now.

News broke this morning that he had been found. It's the SO they were looking for. He may or may not be involved in the case but are questioning him about the case. The arrest has nothing to do with Holly.

A convicted sex offender wanted for questioning in the Holly Bobo case has been arrested in Minnesota.

However, investigators are downplaying any connection to the missing 20-year-old woman.

They couldn't locate Wall, so they issued a warrant for his arrest - I guess because he is an RSO and is supposed to register?

I'm still looking - some of the details I caught while passing the tv this morning are not showing up in the article :(

I'm becoming more convinced that these rural Southern towns need to call the NYPD whenever one of there own disappears.

This is the same thing over and over again. Tara Grinstead, Haylee Dunn, Haleigh Cummings and now Holly Bobo. All of these cases have fallen apart. The perps in the South must be a lot smarter than we think None of these cases, imo, are stranger abducitons but for some reason the cops can't seem to get the people to talk.

Bring in New Hampshire...they always seem to find the missing person...

No I think searching his apartment in TN is new. I didn't realize he still had an apartment in TN. Earlier reports said he lived in TN for a little while and moved. hmmmmmmmmm

Yes, the apartment in Tennessee is new info to me. Would be interesting if true.

Holly's brother said on TV tonight that this sex offender that was arrested wasn't even close to the size of the man he saw with his sister the day she was abducted. He didn't think that man took his sister.

Holly's brother was on TV tonight? Can you provide a link to let us see that...or read about it?

Victor George Wall lived in Perry County, the next county east; Darden sets right on the border but is in Henderson County.

Wall, who was convicted on child molestation charges [in the state of Washington twenty years ago], fled Perry County four years ago.

So if he's been gone that long (and didn't pop back to rent an apartment), plus he's about half a foot shorter (he's 5'5") than the man alleged to have been seen escorting Holly off the property, I'd say he's not a shoe-in as a serious suspect.

Wall was last seen by law enforcement in June of 2007 when he was released from jail after serving 10 days on a joyriding charge. His last known address was 308 Birch Street in Linden.

I know this is going back a ways, but I still wonder if HB's disappearance is related to the guy who tried to abduct that other woman from her front porch in January in the next county over....I kept hoping more would come out about that, like if they shared any connections, friends in common, or shopped at the same places, or worked out at the same gym, etc., etc. The MO - rural area, early morning, right as they came outside, etc. just seemed to close for comfort, you know?

The article you quoted said he left Perry County four years ago, but this one says he moved to Perry County four years ago. I think there may be a connection - it's possible. I'm still all over the place on this case, as far as what I think may have happened... WHERE is Holly? :(

Investigators have since checked all sex offenders in the area, including nearby Perry County, where Wall moved to four years ago, the station reports. But authorities could not track down Wall, so they issued a warrant for his arrest, according to local reports.

From Victor George Wall's last address in Linden TN to the Bobo residence at 681 Swan Johnson RD, Decatur, it's 22.85 miles and takes 37 minutes for the trip (at least according to Mapquest; I'm sure there are shortcuts through the woods, etc.).

Perhaps he didn't stay long? Cup of coffee and he was gone? Who can say (not me certainly!).

I got an odd feeling today that she might have left more or less on her own accord and still be alive. Probably not though.

:waitasec: I'm just a bit confused here. Holly's brother thought that Holly and her boyfriend were kneeling in the garage looking at a bleeding turkey on the garage floor?????? Who on earth would throw a freshly killed, bleeding turkey on someone else's garage floor? Who on earth would kneel down on a hard garage floor with clothes on suitable for a classroom to examine a dead, bleeding turkey???? What???? Was Holly expected to give CPR to the turkey????? I'm sorry but don't hunters usually put freshly killed game inside of a game bag? A better question here I guess is who the heck would think that someone would throw a freshly killed, bleeding turkey on someon else's garage floor, then kneel on that, most likely concrete, floor with his girlfriend, who is dressed for school, to examine a freshly killed turkey? I'm sorry but I just don't see it.

I don't think the "garage" is completely enclosed, and may not even have a concrete floor. In most articles, the structure has been referred to as a carport:

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/08/0...tioning-in-holly-bobo-disappearance-arrested/
[snipped]
Authorities confirmed that a small amount of blood was found in the family's carport.

Also, Clint may have supposed that the "turkey" was inside a bag when the "BF" was supposedly showing it to Holly, which would explain why he later became suspicious at the sight of blood in the carport.

Sheesh.... not as close as I thought. I can't remember what article I was reading but they made it sound like he was right next door.:innocent:

I don't think he has anything to do with Holly's disappearance.

If he is not on parole and left the state four years ago why are they bothering him?

I still have some glimmer of hope. One of my theories is she had a lover's quarrel with Drew and her parents didn't approve of the split, constant bickering by mom and family so she got fed up and took off. Another theory is school. Perhaps the pressure was too much for her so she left everything behind to start a new life.

As months go by though, the hope is fading. :(

He's a convicted sex offender. Aren't they supposed to report where they are if they move? I think that's how they found out he was no longer in TN. They showed up at his registered address but he wasn't there.
