One of the areas of the story I'm confused about is this:

Clint calls his mom after seeing silhouettes and hearing voices in the garage/carport. He states his mom says Holly should be at school. So then Clint says that Holly must be in the garage. How does Clint make that leap? Am I missing something here?

The recent interview with Clint is helpful. He hears voices outside that he does not recognize. He looks outside and sees silhouettes in the garage. He does not recognize them. He calls his mother. During his conversation with his mother, he looks outside again. He sees Holly with another person he incorrectly assumes is Drew. Seeing them, he assumes these were the persons he heard outside. And that these were the persons he had trouble identifying in the garage.

I think I may be able to answer my own question. We, the public, are not privy to all of the facts in this case. Heck, the 911 tapes haven't been released! So, I believe LE and the Bobo family are only feeding the public select info and waiting for this perp to mess up, and/or not have the wrong person confess to the crime.

The problem is that no one in the media has clarified which structure is the garage that CB is referring to! I think it's the carport, and not a previous garage renovated into a room of the house. Also, in photos there was/is a structure that looks like a shed, but who knows what that is?

Still very confusing: He doesn't know who's in garage. He does know who is in the garage. There may be a turkey. There's not a turkey, but a little blood. Drew is outside with Holly. No, wait, it's not Drew.

I'm not saying Clint had anything to do with this. But, could this be a ploy to confuse the perp, to make the perp believe that Clint is confused, but really he isn't.

I'm still confused.

I am just reprinting my initial comments, because some here seem to think some of us are attacking the family. The Bobo family are coming forward now for a reason. They don't want this case to go cold and want to share information with the public in an attempt to find clues to Holly's disappearance. That being said, I would think they would want any inconsistencies in the events of that morning pointed out and clarified.
If many of us find their stories confusing, then there IS something wrong with the course of events as stated by Clint and other family members.
Does anyone really believe Clint's account makes PERFECT sense???
Something is missing , and perhaps as one of the posters stated , LE is not filling the family in because they think their accounts of that morning are questionable.
AGAIN---not attacking the family, just wanting what I believe they want. Finding Holly! Let's face it if LE has only the accounts we have been privy to in recent interviews...well you can see where their hands have been tied.:twocents:

I do.

I think it is entirely possible that CB was awakened by a disturbance- saw and heard what he thought at the time was his sister and her boyfriend- did not worry- called KB- conversation with KB made him worry- went to check situation out- causing even more concern.

Correct, except with one modification.

CB calls his mother. The secretary takes the message, hangs up and has to go walk to the cafeteria and relay the message, at which time the mother walks back to the office and returns the call to CB.

So what is CB doing all this time? His little sister has just stepped out the front door moments earlier. Her car was still there. He heard strange voices outside. Why didn't he call out to her and see if she was okay?

I posted an attempt at an explanation of what Clint said earlier and what he said is not linear, IMO.

You would think in all this time one of the reporters would have had a pic of the house at the ready and say, please point to where you saw Holly and the kidnapper. It's such a quick and easy thing.

But... if the reporters and talking heads clarify and confirm things, it reduces sensationalism, and brings down their potential for ratings, and $$$. It's in their best interest - the way they view it - to keep things muddled.

It's the new 'journalism'.

But if he thought it was HB and her bf and he had no worries, then why did he call his mom?

True. But we don't know how long it took for KB to return the call. Could've been a minute or two. Nor do we know if Clint could see Holly's car from inside the house. Maybe Clint was getting dressed during this time. ???

I think the Bobos are feeling conflicted. LE has released little information to the public. It serves LE's interest (presumably) not to release more info, in order not to compromise the investigation. The Bobos (presumably) want to respect the efforts of LE. At the same time, they seem to be frustrated with the lack of results. So, they've begun to speak out more, allowing the public to know more details.

Perhaps he was calling to see about something else, and the disturbance that wakened him came up. Perhaps the Bobo's had concern about a stalker. Perhaps they were concerned about hunters on their property. Perhaps they are a family that stays in very close phone contact. Perhaps CB and/or HB got in late the night before her abduction, and he was touching base. Perhaps he was calling to see if he could use Holly's car, since it was still there. Seems to me like there are a lot of possibilities.

I must have by mistake had some info. in my mind from some other news article or comment and thought it was from the transcript. I do remember reading that somewhere. I'm glad you pointed that out to me. I would not want to be in error.

tattling was a theory proposed by a poster here not in any interview

But he himself said he called his mom because he wanted to know if anyone was supposed to be in the garage. He told us that was why he called her.

So my question is why didn't he just open the door and ask. His sister had just stepped outside moments earlier. Why not check on her instead of calling MOM who was 20 minutes away?

I just find his story so convoluted and odd. Sorry, but it is very frustrating. His dog is going crazy barking, his sister's car is still there, he hears strange voices in the garage, and he calls his mom.

It is very difficult to understand which parts of the story take place
in which locations.

In the screen shot I saw there is a separate structure that looks
like a garage/carport. I circled it.

Not sure what else is there that is allegedly part of the house.
Not doubting it but just saying it is hard to know from the
camera angles I have seen so far.

So are we speaking of 2 separate areas or what?

No I believe that is what I have called a shed or cover that may have a tractor or something in it. What I think is the car port is actually the pitched roof structure directly below and to the left of that two bay shed, attached to the back of the garage (which faces the driveway). I was thinking there is probably a door on the back of the garage that opens into that car port, if thats where the car port is. In an interview I think in July Clint said Holly's car was parked in the driveway... In other reports there is general talk about a car port so who knows. We now know that Holly and the camo guy were in the enclosed garage and the blood was found in the garage.

Respectfully: there has been no POI or suspect named in Holly's abduction at this point, so the sword is only cutting one way right now imvho.

Also, wanted to post again:

Oh Holly, where are you?

If you were taken north of your home, were you then circled around to Swan Johnson? Or were you taken northwest?

On further reflection:
For Clint to have heard voices from the separate structure I would think
the window of the house would have had to be opened and not closed
because of airconditioning or other factor. .

There is no seperate structure Clint said clearly on the JVM interview the Garage is part of the house. Its not that lean two shed thing 60 feet behind the house (IMHO).

Going back to what a local here had said when this first went down the garage is an enclosed struture at the front of the house that may now be used for living space but not to keep cars in. Maybe sort of like what a lot of people call a laundry room?

I assume the so called car port is directly behind this part of the house (pitched roof visible in photos). And it would be logical for there to be a back door from the garage to the front of the car port. Otherwise people would have to walk around the hose or something... it doesnt seem to be paved in the back.

Now, how Clint saw the people in the garage is sort of a mystery. There must be a door from the house to the garage did he open it? was it opened? he says he saw silhouettes but did he mean shadows? Was it light in the garage? dark? None of that is real clear. And the garage is not huge. If he was looking into the garage from a doorway he would have been what 10-20 feet away from Holly and camo man?

Quote from Clint about it being attached:

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Ok, now, ok, is the garage attached to the house or is it a separate, detached garage?

C. BOBO: It`s attached to the house.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: It is attached to the house.

C. BOBO: Right.

Perhaps this will be useful... Going back to the discussion of the house layout with one of the locals here, it was decided the garage is the area I marked in green. I believe the pink structure to be an outbuilding used maybe to house an ATV or mower or something. You wouldn't normally park so far away and in the dirt. The driveway is marked in yellow and extends back some distance to the main road. What I believe is the car port is marked in blue. Another aerial photo shows a car parked in front of this structure. It has a pitched roof. I assume there is a door to the car port from the back of the house (or from the back of the garage if the garage extended deeper(?) The arrow in red is the direction (more or less) that Clint reported Holly and camo man were walking. For scale notice what look to be two people standing to the right of the above ground pool.
