BeanE- Hollye has a good map on Case Signal. It's not completely current (considering searches since then) but a good indication that LE believed Holly was taken east- or in the direction of I-40.

Yep I'm familiar with Hollye's map. I was hoping for one that has all the searches, and just the searches.

The searches appear to me to be going north.

One person - not involved in the case, but a talking head on TV - is the only one to ever say the dogs lost scent at the treeline.

But has anyone stated where the dogs actually trailed to, Bean? Because if Holly's lunch container was located several miles away, and Holly and her abductor were last seen on foot- it would stand to reason that they would have trailed to that location. But they didn't.

Is this where one of the reasons for the assumption of a vehicle being involved comes from?

In the JVM interview the Bobo's also state they feel a vehicle was used.

LE has said they feel a vehicle was used.

The lunch bag was found by the road not out in the middle of the woods. its logical to assume it was tossed from a car. The Bobo's feel it was planted in that direction as a decoy and the suspect did not take Holly in that direction.

It is not logical to assume that just because they walked past Clint's window that they kept walking for 8-10-12 or more miles through heavy woods.

I'm going back to the timeline and events of the abduction.

I don't have anything at all to contribute to direction of travel of Holly and her abductor, other than what Clint said, which is that they went north, and there was a logging road.

I sent you that info as soon as the transcript came out, Oriah. I just have nothing else I can intelligently contribute to direction of travel.

I'm sorry I can't help you more. I'll continue to send you any info that comes out that I think may be helpful to you.

Bean, are you referring to LE-based searches, volunteer based searches, or private searches? Or all of the above?
As is often the case, that information is quite mixed up! :banghead:

The large scale searches that took place early on did focus on places north and east of the Bobo's home (including Natchez.)

But I have been wondering why... unless dogs trailed Holly and her abductor from the 'treeline' around to Swan Johnson? :waitasec:

Am I confusing everyone?

I only include LE searches, and LE-led/coordinated volunteer searches, in any/all of these cases. I don't feel that volunteer and private searches that are not LE-led/coordinated, particularly when done by untrained citizens, are reliable enough for me to count on. Just my own personal feelings.

That's part of the reason I was hoping for a map of the searches - preferably those that have been by LE, or led/coordinated by LE.

No worries, my friend. :blowkiss:

I'll retreat into what seems to be the most common SAR conundrum these days... which is "why this, if not this?"

Ugh.

HELP! Was she in the carport in back of the house kneeling down or was she in the garage in front of the house? Are there two windows in the kitchen facing each?

I thought her car was parked in the driveway...Was the door to the house locked? Did she have her car keys with her?

LE mentioned blood near the door....what door?

That I can do for you, Bean- to a certain extent, anyway.
Want me to translate coordinates into something like 'Area 1', 'Area 2' etc?

Who knows. Maybe the perp had HIS car parked in the carport and took off before CB could get to them. Maybe the last thing CB saw was them heading towards the woods which would indicate towards the carport in the back of the house?

This guy had a vehicle and I don't think he was walking around with Holly in the woods. The vehicle was close enough but not visible for someone to see from inside the house.

Actually, with the blood, I think I want to stick primarily with what Clint said about where it was, and then consider what LE said, but leave out reporters. Or I'll really go crazy.

Based on the recent JVM interview Clint said they were in the Garage ( which seems to be at the front and end of the hosue) Clint was very clear that the garage was attached to the house (as are most garages). We have a door off the Florida Room that goes to the back of the garage and laundry room.

The carport seems to be in the back of the house opposite the garage.

I assume the kitchen is in the back between the car port and pool area. At least it makes sense back there.

A problem with understanding things is we have directly contradictory statements. In written reports we have blood being in the driveway, carport, garage, yard. Clint actually said in the interview "in the garage"

But he would not have been alarmed about the blood according to his story the other day when he said they may have been kneeling over a dead turkey?

I am making a new drawing. I believe the car port is in the back of the house. My drawings yesterday showed it. If you imagine the house as an inverted "T" shape when seen from above... the long part of the T projecting up and down is the main part of the house. The car port is the short leg of the T to your lower left, and the garage is the short leg of the T to your lower right, at the head of the driveway.

'Blood Simple' - great early Coen Brothers movie whose name does not indicate the perplexities of blood in the Bobo matter.

Maybe there was blood in more than one place and that's where the confusion is?

In the garage (front of the house) (perhaps where Holly was attacked). Dog starts barking and awakens CB. Dazed..that's when the perp walks around the house with Holly to the back where his car is parked in or around the carport. CB sees them but thinks they're headed for the woods but in fact they were headed to perp's car. This may be when neighbour hears screams coming from the house.

I can't seem to fit the kneeling in the garage part in my theory above though.:banghead:

Thanks for posting this!! If I count right, at least 5 different LEOs stated the blood was found in/on the carport. Now, all of a sudden, CB uses the word garage to IMHO refer to the carport, and all of a sudden we have a dead turkey inside the house along with Holly and her abductor. IMHO I think there is too much reading into the use of the word garage. I've had friends whose parents converted a garage into a family room or bedroom, and after that it wasn't still referred to as "the garage", it was referred to as the family room or whoevers bedroom. I believe the terms garage and carport can and are being used interchangeably and that this has caused some serious confusion and speculation.

Yes, CB says the garage is attached to the house, but looking at the pics and vids so is the carport. Also the carport can be somewhat enclosed, maybe the back wall and the side, it's very hard to tell from the pics.

From the interview:

C. BOBO: No, I saw them from inside the house and they were outside the house in the garage.

IMHO, if the "garage" that was converted into a living space which is attached to the house was where CB saw them, he would not have said "No, I saw them from inside the house and they were outside the house in the garage" since they would still be inside. I still believe they were in the carport at the back of the house, "outside the house", and he's calling the carport the garage.

With all due respect, feel free to disagree with me, but the above is MO.
