Assuming Holly's BF knows nothing about what happened to her, I wonder at what point he just has to get on with his life. He is only 19. That will probably be hard for him to do in such a small town and being so close to Holly's mother. But it would seem natural for him to eventually meet someone, etc...I don't know what a young person would do in a situation like this...

Whitney Duncan Keeps the Faith With ‘Bring Holly Home’ Bracelets on ‘Survivor’ Preview

Nashville country singer Whitney Duncan may be set to star on ‘Survivor: South Pacific‘ this fall, but that doesn’t mean she has forgotten about her cousin Holly Bobo, who is still missing since being kidnapped from her home in April. In a new promo for the show, Duncan sports pink bracelets that read “Hope for Holly” and “Bring Holly Home” in honor of her cousin.

Duncan wrote a blog post on August 22 to make the official announcement that she’s headed for ‘Survivor,’ and in her update, she made sure to call attention to the pink bracelets. “Only for her will I wear pink! (I hate pink),” she says of Bobo. “No new news on Holly right now. Please just keep praying for my family to be strong & that we will have her back with us again soon. It’s been over 4 months now, but we have to keep the faith.”

Did she also have a book bag, I wonder? At one point, books was one of the items LE mentioned to be watching out for during early searches...how did she manage to hold on to books, otherwise? Yet no book bag was mentioned, that I recall.

I think it may have been a "backpack" type of bag that she could carry her lunch and personal items? I did not hear about any books, but they can usually fit into one of those backpacks also. Since the backback is already on the person, she would have been taken into the woods with ALL of the items stored in the bag.
LE also said they found the "lunch bag" along with other items--what other items they found have not been made public, I don't think. It would make sense they may be the contents of that "one" bag.

None of this makes any sense. According to her brother Holly talked to her abductor for a good length of time, at least long enough for him to make a call to his Mom. Also we don't know how long they had been talking before CB heard them. Why on Earth would she carry all these items with her into the woods? If I was this guy I would NOT want her to take any of that stuff with her. I remember her Dad mentioning in an interview that he thought it possible that her things had been placed miles away to confuse things. I also feel that is what was done, but by whom? Someone who had a car or a 4 wheeler. So think about this. When was this stuff put there? I'm betting NOT while Holly was with this guy. That would be pretty stupid for him to ride around with her trying to place stuff on the side of the road. She could try to escape or she may have been seen by someone. So, this means that he did all of this at another time. I do not know how long after her abuction these items were found, but this would mean that Holly was not with her abductor at the time he was placing these items where ever they were found.

Can anyone tell me who the last person was to see Holly the night before she went to bed?

The amount of time Holly supposedly spent with the abductor confuses me and is one of the really suspicious things I find about that morning. I have literally never read of an abduction that took as long as Holly's supposedly did. It takes about 2 seconds to punch someone and drag them away. Holly supposedly spent several minutes...speaking to him?

Yes, this botheres me. I just don't see how this is possible without her trying to scream or get away. I also find it hard to believe that it was Holly screaming that morning since her brother would have most certainly heard such a scream that close.

I think that it is entirely possible that if Clint was inside and the neighbor was outside (and possibly it was after Holly had been "escorted" a little ways from her home), the scream could have been heard by the neighbor and not by Clint. I do not think that we have a confirmed timeline of the scream and where Clint might have been during the "scream". Did he shower about that time? How long does he shower?

It could be possible that she had already put her books in her car. Or left them in the car the night before. If she was already doing clinicals, she might not need to study with her books every night. If she carried everything in one backpack, then why was only the lunch bag found and not books, notebooks, etc.

Could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure CB said he was awoken by the sound of the dog barking. Was there ever a mention of him taking a shower before he went into the kitchen to see were the voices were coming from? If CB took a shower after he heard the dog and then Holly screamed then this would give Holly and her abductor even more time together. If there time together gets any longer then pretty soon I'm gonna be open to the idea that they had coffee together, before he kidnapped her.

I've posted multiple times that Holly was probably closer to the neighbor's house when she screamed.

Way back in the beginning, LE mentioned "books" as something people should be looking for...which is why I wondered about it.

I am not familiar with the logistics of the neighbors houses. CB said he saw "them" in the garage, called his Mom then looked out the window and saw them walking into the woods. So one would think that sometime between the time that CB saw them kneeling down in the garage and the second time he saw them walking into the woods that Holly would have let out a pretty loud scream. This could not have happened before CB saw then the first time in the garage, for if that was the case then Holly would have been away from her house and somewhat near her neighbor, sceamed and then came back to the garage in time for CB to see them kneeling down.

Holly most likely would have had to scream sometime after CB saw her the first time and before he saw them walking into the woods. As I said, I am not familiar with the logistics of the neighbors house in relationship to Holly's, but I don't see how Holly could have ever been close to a neighbors house unless they walked past it while walking into the woods, but CB would have heard since he said he saw them approaching the woods together.

Personally, I don't think being on "Survivor" will help in this case...I doubt very much Holly is out and about where someone will see her. JMO

  • #795
Does it bother anyone else that when you see the familly on JVM and you hear jane ask questions she never quite gets right into it and gets a real specific account just like how ling they were in the garage for she gets a awnser but never the details of the awnsers or at least to me that how it seems . Im allways watching and thinking what about this and that most of the time being more frustrated then before the interview.

I agree! The part where CB is awakened, sees two people, talks on the phone, then sees them walk into the woods just doesn't work for me. Why would an abductor keep her in the garage for that long?? Why not grab her and pull her into the woods immediately?

If that is how it happened, it must be why LE thinks it is a local, possibly someone she knows, although they never came out and said that part...but that may be what they are assuming, because of the amount of time involved.

It makes no sense that the perp would chit chat risking getting caught. IMO, he would want to get out of dodge immediately. A 6 foot, 200 lbs. versus a 5'3" petite young lady? I would think even if she tried to fight him, he would overpower her in no time. Seconds...

Not kneel in the driveway for minutes (enough time for CB to hear the dog, wake up, go to the window, see them in the garage (carport), call his mom.

It just doesn't make any sense, imo

I have too... a bazillion times. Plus the neighbor in the video interview said she was outside getting into her car or something like that.

Screams were not close to Holly's home compared to the neighbor. Plain and simple.

The only reason I can see the perp taking his time is he felt confident nobody else was home. Even then, its strange to be so lethargic if your initial goal was to abduct.
