VELEZ-MITCHELL: But you called your mom in between when you saw them in the garage and when they walked out into the woods? Why did you do that?*
C. BOBO: I spoke with mom -- I spoke with mom initially to find out who the people -- I heard two voices outside our house and I called mom to try to find out who these people were outside our house. But I had no idea who they were.*
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Now, you`re saying they. We`re going to get to more on the other side. <snipped> we see further clarification that the call was a

Reading this again I'm lost all over again. I know we have discussed but back to the carport/ and garage. Is the real garage empty or converted to a room? Carport is open and facing the. back of the property. Where was Clints car parked? Holly's? Was Clint's in the garage out of view? Holly's is in carport? So did he really see them in the garage or carport? He said garage and that would mean they were possibly inside the house? Or waiting for her to open the garage? I will wait for clarification and stop there.

My concern is why he didn't see Holly's car and how was there enough space to see two people kneeling unless there was not a vehicle there. Its so confusing how Clint words things. Like what he said above. He called his Mom to find out who these people were outside BUT he had no idea who they were.
There house is roughly 1500sq ft. He isn't laying in bed unless his window has a garage view and we assume Clint and Holly's rooms are close from Karen shutting the door so he didn't LOOK in Holly's room or notice she wasn't there or her car was still there BEFORE or during. His call with Mom? I find that highly unlikely. For now I'm revisiting the home invasion.

I agree with your assessment. There's nothing suspicious about him calling his Mom about people in the garage.

Regarding the "trail". Could CB have been referring to some other trail besides blood? We were told that the blood in the garage wasn't a large amount so just wondering if the trail CB is talking about was the items LE found. Did the perp leave a trail of Holly's personal belongings leading to somewhere but for whatever reason it was a dead end after that? Did the perp leave these items so he,himself could find his way around or back?

Holly's father thinks the perp left the lunchbag (the only item that we aware of for now) to throw LE off. So, perhaps he is correct or it could be the perp left the items so he knows where the heck he was heading? Or was the perp taunting the searchers and LE? IDK

Just throwing out possible scenarios.

Bolded and snipped by me.

Yes, I thought CB was talking about the perp and HB going down the old logging trail. I thought he misunderstood the question when she asked if there was a trail of blood. (something to that affect).

If you consider the garage to be enclosed (like a washroom, laundry room, storage area, etc.) then it could be dark/dim and Clint would look through a doorway into the space and see just shadows of two people crouched down in the back. I assume the back of the garage has a door to the car port. The cars would be out back in the car port and not where you would see them from inside the house. If Clint thought it was Holly in the garage anyway, the fact that he saw or didnt see her car there would not make such a difference. Actually if he did see her car then it would add to the assumption that Holly was in the garage. But I believe the cars were out back. There are no big garage doors visible in the various photos showing the garage area of the house. They do not exist any more. So I do not think any cars can be parked there. If you look at the ground level photos of the house you see where the original concrete driveway curves up to the front of the garage where the doors probably used to be, but there is now just windows there now. Also if they were in the garage or interior area of the house, that would also match initial descriptions of the crime which stated this was a home invasion.

As for Clint's comments on the trail... JVM asked about the/a/any blood trail. Clint may have caught only the word trail, and went off to talk about trails in the woods leading to a logging road. He is not talking about a blood trail. If you go back to the interview, I THINK when JVM asked the question first, Karen said something to the effect of no or no blood trail but then Clint started talking about trails in the woods.

It would be nice to have a good interviewer, that is in tune with this case, interview the family. I bet all the pieces could be better connected. JVM was all over the map, and never allows for proper answers. I think nancy grace would clarify things.

I would like to see a 30-minute special about Holly's case...including what she did in the days leading up to her disappearance.

In other news from Parsons, TN

A Parsons man is dead after starting a fight with the pastor at his daughter's wedding. This comes as just more bad news out of the county that currently has two unsolved missing persons cases and a slew of crystal meth problems. What's in the water in Decatur County, Tennessee?

I had to laugh at this statement.

Kristen Helm, a familiar face who is known for her role in the investigation of the disappearance of Holly Bobo, is the information officer for the TBI. Why do they even have an information officer if they never share information? What's more, the only info they often share is so vague it's not helpful to people who are seeking answers.

Another interesting read in the above article. Not very encouraging though.

So, in looking and attempting to decipher what Clint's acct of that mornings events was I did learn that the phone call was indeed made by Clint to Mom at school.. Where as other articles have reported the opposite.. And we learn that the call was made to mom for the purpose of finding out who the two ppl were that he could "see" their silhouettes and hear their young voices inside the attached garage.. And that he made the call while the two ppl were still in the garage..

Most importantly IMO is that it's learned that Clint made the call before seeing the two emerge from the garage.. They emerged from the garage while on the phone where he sees that it is infact his sister, Holly as well as he sees who he believes to be her boyfriend, ,Drew.. The two of them casually walking towards the woods.. Mom convinces Clint that he is mistaken/wrong in who he believes that he sees with his sister is Drew.. Mom tells him it is not possible that it is Drew..*

So my question is why then would Clint first have gone into the garage where they were previously??? To which we know once in the garage he sees the small amount of blood..
Why would you go to the garage first(or at all IMO) when you had just seen your sister with who you saw to be Drew, but Mom immediately convinces you that IT WAS NOT DREW, you witnessed them walking toward the woods.. So, again why would you first go into the garage where you knew they no longer were and why would you not go immediately where you had just witnessed them walking to, especially in lieu of just having been convinced by mom that sister was not with boyfriend, Drew and now known that she *was with an unknown male dressed all in camo??
Am I the only one who really is very concerned about what took place, as it took place??

No, I'm right there with ya. Quite frankly, this is beginning to make my teeth hurt.

I heard Clint say he called his Mom, and I heard her say she called him. So I believe there were 2 calls, not one. Two separate calls. He called her at the school, and she used her friend's cell phone to call him when they were driving to the house.

He has me dumbfounded. I just erased an entire paragraph, because I realize that Clint refers to a place outside that he saw through the kitchen window, he saw them there and he calls it a garage.
He also calls the old garage remodeled into a new bedroom as the garage, too.

If someone, ANYONE, would just please say gently to Holly's Mom: "Please tell us what happened the morning Holly disappeared. From the beginning.
Please take your time."

sigh

Yes, clu that's exactly how he is stating it occurred. That he called mom to ask who was in the garage? Whole they were still in garage.. While on the phone he figures out Its his sis.. He says he turns around to then see them walking toward the woods.. Who he saw and believed to be Drew.. And that his mom told him no it couldn't be Drew..
The next thing that's stated is that he then goes out inti the garage!! The garage where he knows they are no longer in because he turned around and saw them come out of the garage and head toward the woods.. So why would he go to the garage first?? When he'd seen them walk towards the woods and mom immediately told him IT WAS NOT DREW AS HE BELIEVED IT WAS!! why does he go to where he knows they no longer are??? While in the garage he then sees blood that he thought was from a turkey Drew killed.. He says this even tho in his sequence of events he has already stated that back while on the phone with mom when seeing the two walk casually to the woods.. His MOM TELLS HIM IT CANNOT BE DREW!! but that's what he says he believed the blood was from AFTER BEING TOLD IT WAS NOT DREW!!

This all according to his sequence Of events in his one statement to JVM(posted upthread).. Not a combo of different interviews.. This is from one interview..

I am sorry but for whatever reasons(reasons I do not know amd do not even begin to act as tho I understand).. I have come to the conclusion we are being told something that did not happen.. The events as we know them.. They are nothing of what truly happened that morning! That is the only thing I am certain of at this point!!

You know, there is one way that would make sense. It's what I started to say a little while ago.

Maybe the back door of the house still goes into the new bedroom that used to be the garage, and you take that path to get to the other door in the bedroom that leads to the back yard.

Clint is making me dumbfounded, because he still calls that room the garage, and he also calls that place where cars are parked the garage.

And he doesn't give hand signals when he changes which one he is talking about.
I know who has the answer to all this. I'll ask.

In the News Channel 5 OpenLine interview of the Bobo family, a caller called in to ask for a description of the perp. Clint stated he only saw the perp from the back, but stated he was 5’10” to 6’ and about 200 lbs. in full camo. Karen also stated in that same interview LE had shown the family a sketch, and she said, “But that didn’t look anything like him.” I guess KB was speaking for Clint, because as far as I know she didn’t see the perp at anytime.

Has anyone here on WS seen this sketch or know anything more about it? :waitasec:

Maybe it was the guy who was arrested a few days later for attacks on college girls in the nearby county? Nickells, or some name like that?

But telemag you just brought up an excellent point that IMO would very likely be a solution of how to go about paying for the expensive services of such a heavy hitting PI.. Holly shirts..
------------
I agree. I'm not a PI, don't personally know a PI, but I also think they should put the money towards a good PI.

And unfortunately JVM is interrupted just as it seems she was delving deeper into exactly what was what, even calling on his having changed his verbiage in his statements.. They never resume this discussion after the break so we never get a clearer picture of the events IMO!!

above snipped from SmoothOperator's great post IMO -

Not only in the case but in others, interviewers have a way of being interrupted at a critical point to which they don't return after the interruption! :banghead:

One of the recent Gather articles did mention another missing (20ish year old?) girl from Darden who's case was still unsolved. based on the very little info about that case it may not be related. IIRC the girlfriend vanished and the boyfriend said he had dropped her off somewhere and didn't know what happened. This case goes back some years too... I think the 90s.

Christie Baugus Moon was her name.
The guy they thought did it was stopped by Sheriff W, he shot the sheriff
and the deputy that was with him shot and killed the guy... Later the deputy was killed by a falling pole... Strange story!

If ya look up Sheriff W you can find the story.

I am not sure if it was in that interview, but I do recall a sketch of a man with red hair who attempted to kidnap young women at Walmart's in the surrounding areas being brought up in connection to HB case, and I believe is still on the loose. He, like the SO that was sought, does not match the description that CB has given of camo man. Also, this is not JN I am speaking off, the SO who was arrested shortly after HB was abducted.

Okay, you guys..
raincloud.gif
Thanks for raining on my parade of happiness!!!! :(..lol.. Even tho I do realize that you all are infact correct that we do have a procedure in order for any info to be verified and that without following that procedure the reality is that we can assume it to be nothing more than a "Rumor"...
sorrysad.gif
Sorry for my jumping the gun with such an outburst of excitement
let-down.gif
Guess it shows how desperately I want there to be forward movement in Holly's case.. I'll sit back now and attempt to be patient(not one of my strong suits)..

(** and Karen Anne if u do infact know this info to indeed be fact.. I believe it's a very simple couple steps to become verified.. Someone may be able to post a direct link to that verification process:)**)
