We are constantly trying to translate everything said in this case instead of taking quotes and applying them. I realize Tennessee is in the south, but this is america. There is a difference between "dragged"" led" in any language.

There is also a big difference between "home invasion" and not a home invasion, no matter the state or town.

I realize all cases need some secrecy to keep the integrity of the case, but this is ridiculous! If there is info being withheld that can solve this, why come out with small bits that nobody can possibly help with? If there is such fear for the bobo's safety, would they be in their house still? Town? State?

Its time to put out info to try and solve this case. Everyday that goes by, it will be harder to find remains. That's just a fact.

I don't see a REAL effort to search or help because there are rules about how much one should get involved. If the bobo's or LE said they need people to search the bobo property and surrounding area tomorrow, hundreds would show up! Why not get after it before winter???

Frustrated!

Professional SAR works with LE, at all times. If they don't- they're not professional SAR. Make sense?

So what happens if LE says they don't want SAR? Does the family sit and wait until LE is good and ready and in the meantime days and months go by and there is nothing a family can do except put up flyers?

I saw a poster mention a gun .where did that come from? Was there a gun? I have only slighty followed but did follow news . I am lacking some informtion but I never saw a gun mentioned.

Holly was bleeding her blood was found in a carport(not garage)
Her brother heard voices and looked an thought it was Hollys boyfriend drew.
He then sees her dragged off after hearing something but when he got outside she was gone.
something about him and a shower
There is no composit sketch (which baffles me ,he did see someone might help to try )
The person who took Holly is said to be male.

Is there a description of the male? Like height weight and that? And if there is does it truely match up with drews description?

Are the police looking for a specific type of car or truck? I also thought I saw something about looking for a car with Damage to it . Is that a rumor?

What are the basic facts?

Shower, damaged car, car with camouflage clothing in it, other personal items besides the lunchbox/lunchbag being found are considered rumours because it hasn't been mentioned in MSM.

The suspect's description is between 5'10 to 6' - 200 lbs. No clue what Drew's physical description is. I would guess he is 5'10 by looking at the pictures but I don't think he's 200 lbs.

We have very little to go on.

Why the heck would LE NOT want TES to come?

See, this is a sticking point with me. Its almost like Holly's family doesn't want them to come. Let me tell you, if my girl was gone, I'd kick LE to the curb after a month. I would say, "I'm going to the press and tell them you will not allow TES to come in here." There is a possibility that LE is corrupt.

There is also the likelihood that we don't know the whole story.
*Sigh*

I understand the frustration, mountainguy77- but I would really like to address the above bolded by me.

#1- TN is a part of the USA. Why does it matter that it is 'in the south"???

#2- Language, dialect, and lifestyle differences are very prominent in many regions of the US. (And personally, I'm kinda cool with that-because to me, it means we embrace differences. And there are a lot of them.)

#3- 'drugged' vs 'dragged' vs 'led' vs 'walked' is, imo,a horrible confluence of poor reporting, poor assumptions based on dialect, poor assumptions made by LE, and furthermore... assumptions made incredibly even MORE confusing by media that has not taken the effort to thoroughly investigate.

#4-There is a REAL effort to search. Again- I point to local, state, federal, resources there.

Ok- off rant- and btw this rant not directed at you, MG. Just general frustration at an investigation that is repeatedly being clogged by assumptions.

Can you give us a link to MSM stating there is a REAL effort to search by local state federal resources there?

Also a link by BeanE stating that the fundraiser that was to be held last weekend was to hire the "fake"SAR team would also be appreciated. I asked for it earlier but got no reply.

Just so we don't confuse facts with rumours....KWIM?

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
APRIL 13, 2011

MISSING WOMAN FEARED TO BE VICTIM OF HOME INVASION KIDNAPPING

Nashville, Tenn. - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office are actively looking for leads in a possible home invasion and abduction of a 20-year-old Darden, Tenn. woman from her home this morning.

Holly Bobo was last seen by a family member being drug across the carport of
her home
on Swan Johnson Road toward a wooded area by a man wearing
camouflage clothing. Holly is 5’3”, weighs 110 pounds and was last seen
wearing a pink shirt and light blue jeans at approximately 7:30 am. The TBI’s
Violent Crime Response Team is responding to gather evidence at the scene.
Currently, there is no vehicle information available. Anyone with information in
the whereabouts of Holly Bobo is urged to call the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND

Emphasis mine. This is the first press release offered by TBI, on the day Holly was taken. No future press release has dealt with the manner in which Holly was directed to the woods. Yet LE changed the scenario.

The family should call and request professional SAR anyway. And they should bug the heck out of their LEA to support them in that, till request is granted.

It's a tough call for many professional SAR groups, because they need LE backup for a variety of legal reasons. Rock and a hard place.
Very, very frustrating. And a system that is completely counter-productive, imo. But real, none the less. :(

If this was released on the day of Holly's abduction, then why the (much later) discussion about introducing the pic of her photo 'without makeup'??

To say I am confused, would be...mild.

Ya got me, O. Pictures - they're beyond me* (except for seeing green men in the Jamisons photo). I seem completely to have missed the "sans makeup" thing.

*as is solving crimes

Local, State, and Federal LE. I have provided these links.
Please check WS's verified SAR- and WS's position on professional posters.
There is a 'real' SAR team involved.
That's pretty much all I can offer right now.

Where is that located? Same place where Hailey Dunn SAR info is? I'm not trying to be difficult. I'm still having a hard time getting around this board. I have no idea where the forum for professional posters is.

This case was in the missing forum then moved to Hot Cases. It took me a while to find it. I'm still trying to figure out why some missing persons cases appear in 2 locations while others only appear in one.

Why do I always feel like I'm going to get a smack down when I post on this thread? I never get the same reaction on other threads. :panic:

This case has/had an advantage in that there is an EYEWITNESS.

Umm hello , I am not a therapist. Again check the proffessional posters thread! geeze... LOL just kidding.

I always run searches on whatever I am looking for , so if you type in professional posters in the main board search and not a sub forum then it should come up for you.

I get lost about the basement because I never know the thread has started so I cant subscribe to it because who really goes into their basement every day?

Why some cases appear in 2 locations is because one thread is started for information and support . one is started for discussion if there is any. The thread for information would be any new MSM links and for family support . New posters, news .and updates no discussions.

I dont know if when the thread moves if your subscription to it in your user CP stays or if you have to re-add it.

I took me forever to figure out that each subforum has it own search tool so you can just search the forum you need. It felt like chrismas.

Hope that helps.. .. Smackdowns I cant help with.

Thanks for your help. I had no idea about the subforum search tool. I've only been a member here since June of this year. You've been a member since 2008 and it took you forever to figure it out. So if my calculations are right, I should be a professional poster in 3 years. :great:

If you need me, I'll be in the basement. Hope someone left the lights on.:seeya:

Thread #29 Round-Up
Missing in Tennessee

Shelly Mook.......204 days
Holly Bobo........160 days
Zaylee Fryar......144 days
Gail Palmgren....139 days

wfgodot or anyone else who is following the other cases. Is TBI and local LE just as tight lipped in those cases as they are with Holly's?

I don't get it. We're approaching the 6 month mark and there has been absolutely nothing said by LE. Are they just sitting back waiting for the tipline to ring? :banghead:

Holly Bobo still missing after nearly six months, no sign of any leads

Six months is a long time for Holly Bobo to be missing with no news of her whereabouts. But some of the terrain around Parsons, Tennessee is extremely difficult to search. As Bobo’s 21st birthday approaches, there’s still no sign of the truth about her disappearance being revealed.

Terrain difficult to search? The truth?

Don't panic, n/t.

Like you all, I am just a little frustrated. I understand it can be difficult to find your way around the different forums.

What I was saying in regard to searches, is that I can't provide a MSM link for a search if LE does not publicize a search for whatever reason (and there are many different reasons, depending on the case details.)

Does that make any sense?
