BBM: Why is that?
If you read the rest of my post, I think I explained why.
BBM: Why is that?
I'd like to add that even the family is frustrated with LE even as far as Karen wanting help from the President so IMO, no they are not searching for Holly. IMO, unless the family hires their own SAR team, this case is cold.
:moo:
It's my belief that LE is still searching for Holly. Given that Holly is still listed on CUE's website, and the fact that CUE is a highly reputable organization, I'm confident that searches are still occurring.

Or the family doesnt know. Think about it-why start the family on a rollercoaster of emotion with every single search? With every single tip? It is like our policy here at WS regarding comparing Missing People with John/Jane Does...why would any of us contact family? Why get there hopes up if we dont know what we will find?
Makes you wonder if the timing is all off.
Why are we assuming Holly screamed while in the carport? Since there was blood, she may have been fighting or caught off guard, no time to scream.
Wouldnt it make more sense that she would be screaming being led (or dragged) to the woods?
jmo
We know from Clint's statements he heard voices and people walking around in the yard before he saw Holly and the suspect in the garage. So exactly where Holly was when she screamed is not known. Originally before the time line was fleshed out, I assumed Holly screamed at some point AFTER the abduction, when she was in the woods or at some point away from the house. But now it seems the scream was very early on at the start of it all. I can only assume she did not make more noise later on because she was either stunned/hurt (perhaps from a blow that caused the blood) or in fear (despite Clint's claim that she didn't seem to be in fear).
And the FBI. We have an engaged LE here. Think of how all of us civilian sleuthers are obsessed....imagine being obsessed LE. And I am absolutely convinced there are members of LE who have no intention of letting this go.

Sorry, I don't understand your post. Are you saying there are anonymous folks looking for Holly without the family's knowledge? I never heard of a situation as you describe it. Usually professional SAR teams work family members and LE.
Can you give me an example of how this is done? Do you mean like psychics and stuff? I'm curious. TIA
IMO, the best thing for Holly would be to get a criminal profiler involved or a private investigator. A new set of eyes to look at all the evidence without any outside influence such as rumours. Start from the night before Holly disappeared. Who she was with? Who were her friends? Who were her classmates? Where did she hang out? Check her computer? Check her cellphone (if it was recovered). I could go on and on.
Somebody knows something and it takes a very skilled professional to finally find the answer to this mystery. It won't be LE. Sadly, I think they've given up.:moo:
The problem I see with searching for Holly now is...just where do you search? I think there are two main issues affecting that:
- The searches done after she went missing were MASSIVE. A huge area was covered with thousands of people searching for days. That search effort may have been larger than any other missing persons cases posted here on Websleuths over the years.
- It does appear that Holly's abductor got her through the woods and to a waiting vehicle (I think she was probably walked straight to the vehicle instead of an ATV being used). This is evidenced by her lunchbag being found 8 miles away. So where do you target searches now? She could be anywhere. It takes tips or a POI to target searches for her.
One thing ~n/t~ brought up is the family being frustrated with LE. I don't believe we've heard them express that opinion with the way the case is being handled now but it is certainly the case with what happened right after Holly went missing. Those were the crucial moments. We don't know if LE ever got an idea of where the getaway car was stashed, so we don't know if they got possible tire tracks, but we do know the lack of roadblocks was a failure. That's another reason to want the 911 audio. Did Karen or Clint specifically communicate to the dispatcher that Holly had been taken off the property? If so, the failure was on local law enforcement's end...not communicating with each other or assessing the situation correctly. I understand that in a small, rural community the responding officers aren't going to have experience in this sort of thing but I think that's a reason to examine what happened...maybe doing so could help another local force somewhere in the future when faced with a similar incident.
PARSONS, TN (WSMV) -
Inside Holly Bobo's home, Holly's mother Karen Bobo starts each day the same way, with a call to the TBI.
"I call every day and ask 'is there anything you can tell me today,'" Bobo said.
For the last two months, she's been getting the same reply.
"Of course their answer is not today. We're just not hearing anything and of course almost six months into it just gets more frustrating every day and harder every day," Bobo said.
Where to search, in any case after the initial days, is the big question, from Kyron, to Lauren to Holly to Katelyn, etc...
LE cannot search daily, indefinitely, in hopes of searching the right spot by pure chance. It is impractical and expensive. There have not been any searches for Kyron in about 18 months, the last being in early 2011 as far as I know. All these cases change to "searching based on tips only" and if there aren't any valid tips, I am not sure what the answer is.
I would think the chances are pretty strong that a profiler has laid eyes on Holly's case. The FBI has unlimited resources. JMVHO.
