I'm starting to wonder if this poor girl was even reported missing :(

unfortunately, so many of these cases we will never be able to solve because the reports weren't taken correctly, were lost over time or were never made at all. it's hard to fathom, especially when she is so young.

I submitted Tina Kemp missing from Felton, DE about a year ago and the response was, already submitted. However, still not on the rule out list.
How long does this process take?

Or perhaps Toni Lynn McNatt-Chiappetta?

I live close to where this child's remains were found but did not know about this particular case till a couple of days ago. I apologize if anyone I post has already been posted.

It can take years, especially if there's no DNA. In some cases they can't rule a person in or out, so we never hear anything.

I finally got up the nerve to contact the Forensic Anthropology Center contact with this case. Attached is a side by side of "Baby Girl" and Jennifer.

That's a pretty striking resemblance.

Do you remember who you contacted for this possible match?

I am almost certain Namus.
If not, it would have been Doe Network....

Let me see if I can find someone for this Jane Doe that will actually respond, I do know Doe Network usually gets back to people though.

I believe they think Toni's step father had something to do with her disappearance, and I have read they think her body is in the area of where she went missing. But heck, if it wasn't her step father, she could have been kidnapped and taken to TN.

I thought so too Carbuff. It's so heartbreaking. This poor girl deserves to have her identity.

The location where the remains were found appears to be only 8.5 hours from Clairton PA. Google Maps

Seems like that's not out of range.

I agree Carbuff. Also, the area this young lady's remains were found at is pretty close to I-75. Another possibility (with this location) is someone could have known the area if they had traveled before the interstate came through (Early 70's). 25W (Dixie Hwy) was a highly traveled road and it goes through Jellico.

Back in the early 2000's I turned in this Jane Doe as being a possible match for Cherrie Mahan. I believe I contacted the Doe Network since it was before NamUs was a thing. They told me she was ruled out but she still isn't on the NamUs rule out list.

The only reason I said this might not be Toni, is because this is a local case to me, and it has been said that they believe her remains are local, maybe ever buried close by, but she has never been found, and her step father is a suspect.

I am one to usually say, hey, it can't hurt to turn in the possible match, but I was just stating about her step father being the suspect, so you do you. We are here to support each other to give these Doe's their names back.

Might be a good idea for me to reach out again, so I will do!
If I get any response or updates, I will certainly post.
