TN TN - Kaitlynn Abree Ledbetter, 25, wooded area w/o shoes, Overton Co, 2 May 2021

IMO corrupt local LE keeps this covered up.
If the F didn't kill the D and then the GF followed by destroying all related physical evidence in a fire, I feel there would have been a more proper explanation of some sort.

Please correct me if i'm wrong but is TBI not investigating this?
Would TBI involvement require a formal request from local LE?
Without that is there a process for those concerned to employ TBI support?

Based on following the Holly Bobo case, i have low expectations for TBI assistance and TN is certainly a place i would fear being at the mercy of the good guys as much as the bad guys.

If it happens that corruption is the roadblock, what chance does a PI have to successfully assist?

Yes this is a disturbing case. I agree it seems quite suspicious that Kaitlyn disappears, then shortly afterwards the house burns down, taking with it the life of the only other known witness besides Kaitlyn's father. The details of Kaitlyn's disappearance as we have them are from Kaitlyn's father only, AFAIK.

IMO, either we're missing significant pieces of information or LE hasn't put much effort into this case. There haven't been many (any?) updates in Kaitlyn's case over the years, and it's unclear what LE (Overton County Sheriff and/or TBI) have been doing to investigate this case.

There's also a seeming lack of interest in this case from local MSM. Granted this is a rural area, but I haven't found much media coverage at all regarding Kaitlyn's disappearance or the house fire a few months later.

All of this is MOO.
