They need to release video of TC's voice.

It was great to hear ET's voice but she may not be allowed to speak.

HE'S the one in control, HE's the one making decisions, HE's the one with the money, HE's the one who will be most likely spotted in public/ interacting in public.

And apologies if his voice has been released, I find this thread difficult to keep up with.

Federal laws trump state laws. Is there a federal law that calls this kidnapping? I think yes, but I don't know for a fact.

Possible charges:
1. Harboring a runaway - a misdemeanor, in TN. Tennessee Code Annotated § 39-15-0414. Up to 11 months in jail.
http://search.mleesmith.com/tca/39-15-0400.html
2. Aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor - a class B felony in TN. Tennessee Code Annotated § 39-17-1005. 8-30 years in prison.
https://www.tn.gov/assets/entities/t...20Offenses.pdf
3. Aggravated kidnapping - a class B felony in TN. Tennessee Code Annotated § 39-13-304. 8-30years in prison. I think this applies ( i could be wrong) because he physically removed the child from her home by fraud (if it can be shown that he convinced her they could get married, for example), with the intent to commit sexual assault on her. http://www.helpingclients.com/Crimin...isonment.shtml
4. Kidnapping - federal charge.18 U.S. Code section 1201. 20 years to life sentence. This occurs if someone "unlawfully seizes, confines, inveigles, decoys, kidnaps, abducts, or carries away and holds for ransom or reward or otherwise any person, except in the case of a minor by the parent thereof, when—(1)the person is willfully transported in interstate or foreign commerce, regardless of whether the person was alive when transported across a State boundary, or the offender travels in interstate or foreign commerce or uses the mail or any means, facility, or instrumentality of interstate or foreign commerce in committing or in furtherance of the commission of the offense".Inveigles means persuades, so if he persuades a minor to cross state lines, he can be charged federally for kidnapping.
https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/1201
5. Transportation of a minor - 18 U.S. Code section 2423 - Up to 30 years or 10 years to life.
https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2423
6. Coercion and enticement - 18 U.S. Code section 2422 - up to 20 years.
https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2422

Intent is what matters with many charges. Not actual sexual conduct. So it won't matter if she testifies that he molested her, or not, for the federal charges.

MISSIONARY IN HIDING? Most missionaries have to have a high/college educational status, and extensive training. I think no.
Missionaries who are sponsored and affiliated with a certain church or denomination do, yes. But almost anyone can claim to be a missionary.

But it was good that someone was looking out and took a pic, just in case. Personnally, if they were to go out to eat, I would think some diner type place, not a big chain or busy type....right or would it be the opposite?

Oh oh.... all the talk about missionaries and crossing into Mexico reminded me of a not so well known fundamentalist polygamist group in Chihuahua, called Colonia LeBaron. These freaks "marry" pubescent girls to old farts. Someone like TC would fit right in.

Yeah I was surprised she didn't have a Southern accent, I can't remember now if she spent all of her time in TN.

If you YouTube Tad Cummins there is a video uploaded of him teaching CPR to students where he is talking.

It is very encouraging that someone a few states over was aware enough to know about it, get the pic and report it. That tells us the word is getting out to more.

Those Mormon fundamentalists really don't accept converts though. Unless they come from the Mormon church.

About the missionary theory: Wouldn't that be highly unusual? I never heard of it but, then again, I only follow high profile cases. But if the police think that's possible, I think they MAYBE could find out his affiliates.

Take a look at this video from ET's older sister. http://wkrn.com/2017/03/21/shes-a-smart-girl-elizabeth-thomas-sister-believes-she-ran-away/

Then consider some of the things we've heard from other family members, lawyers, the school, kids at the school, etc.

All these things just flat out don't add up. And please, don't give me another 50 posts about how predators gaslight their victims! Right now, I'm not interested in a psychology crash course, I'm simply trying to determine what is fact, what is exaggeration, and what is flat out fiction. And I am having a VERY hard time telling which is which any more.

(Pardon my obvious frustration.)

Awesome. But this needs to released in MSM... the public needs to hear his voice not just ET's.

Can someone send me the pic that is possibly a sighting, but probably not? Can't find it in the thread.

I imagine if you find the right community you can just show up and help out. He would know exactly what to say to be accepted.

That is exactly how I feel. Way to many conflicting 'facts' that seem to be confusing the situation more.

Not that he would necessarily be a missionary, just use that as a cover story for people if they are out of the country, since he has done that before.

That's the sister I was talking about earlier.

A big questionable thing to me was this.

"The 19-year-old older sister defends her mother and says there must be a reason why Elizabeth was running away."

That gives me pause, but only ET's sister can likely answer the questions you are having. We really don't know how much contact this sister had with ET since the mother. She might not have any idea what has happened with ET.
