Besides the weather channel, CNN and HLN are covering with pictures from the area and all three are showing the size and movement of the storms.

You still have other strong storms coming with large hail so be careful.

Awesome, and with weather tweets and other social media will help save lives with early warnings.

Watch out Cumby, Plano area, possible rain wrapped tornado.

OMG, hollyblue! That is the stuff of nightmares! My parents used to live right off of 287. that is so, so scary. I almost had to change my pants after watching that video - I cannot imagine the fear IRL. Gee whiz.

no, slid just north

My daughter works in the Galleria Mall Professional Bldgs and they were sent to the stairwells until 2:35pm central ()which is just west of Richardson and east of where the storm went through with Carrollton).

Those light standards are probably 50-60 feet high; the trucks are twice that high. Easily 100 feet in the air.

That is one seriously powerful storm, although they've not yet given it an F rating.

God be with everyone in the path(s) of these huge, awesome, terrifying storms.

Not to downplay any of the damage or those that went through this, but those were empty trailers without the trucks...

I agree, although we all hate to see anyone lose a life, limb or sustain property damage by one, you can't help but admire the awesome power of mother nature.

well, i wouldn't want to even lift one of their tires, let alone see a trailer with all of the tires flying.

Sister just called and my nephew is not due back from China until Thursday. He's parked his car at the Dallas/Forth Worth airport. His company will check his apartment and business.

I'd call the trailer tossing tornado at least an F2, possibly F3 though it wasn't the one mile to two mile wide monsters some tornadoes can become.

Won't know the exact rating until the damage is accessed as it's the damage caused which gives the tornadoes their F-rating.
