CP24 was at the Dixon Rd apartment where the project traveler take-down happened and many residents interviewed stated that they still stand behind the mayor with 100% support. I just don't get it.
I really think the problem goes a lot deeper than just supporting Ford. This type of thing was bound to happen with the amalgamation. The people in the "suburbs" of Toronto, who previously were not a part of the actual voting process for the city of Toronto, have some deep rooted issues in regards to the city it seems. Maybe they never felt like they could relate to the "elites" at city hall? That they didn't have their interests in mind when deciding things for the city? And they may still have an issue that the amalgamation was forced on them. So supporting Ford at this point is like a nice big "screw you" to the city.
