oh please don't - i have been on both sides of the coin in this situation and have read about my friend - and in the midst of all the conversations theories, questions - i watched how members kept the story going for the family got the truth out until it was picked up by a major news series, got the cause of death - for all the victims that weekend - changed from suicide to homicide, got a new investigation going - and even though it is still going on because of california politics - w/ out forums like this, nothing would have ever happened - even though some times some levity is injected and some people wanted to know more about his personal life - i never ever thought a single person had any malice towards my friend or any of the victims (even though he did have trace amounts of drugs in his system) - i have unfortunately been thru this rodeo 4 seperate times - best friend carjacked and murdered, another mugged and murdered at an atm, another found stabbed to death and left in a park (he was the one originally labeled a suicide), and my cousin who was murdered on a dallas downtown street in a random act of hatred because he was gay - and every thing you have said and done has done nothing but lift up the families - the same with every one here - you all stand up for the victims families - you offer alternative theories - you get the stories in the public to get the attention needed - as some one who has read stories in here as a friend of a victim - i have never been offended - not even by the occasional "blue" comments that are made - or at times when some one makes a joke because the reality is just so sad - so please reconsider - believe it or not this forum really does make a difference and help the victims left behind in a puddle of grief and anger when a violent act is committed

Wow you've certainly experienced more grief than anyone ever should endure. Hugs ... Excellent post!

http://www.hlntv.com/video/2013/01/31/phone-sex-emerges-jodi-arias-trial

So the break was for the phone sex call that she recorded in secret? Now comes the character slam from the DT? I thought it was something new added

Very interested to hear how the defense plans to get around the wiretapping laws.
Defendant was in California, two-party consent state.
Conversation was recorded in California by defendant.
Travis was in Arizona, one-party consent state.
Travis had a reasonable expectation that no one was listening and it was private phone call.

I would also love to know if Travis' Estate can sue her for all her eBay murderabilia jail food money.
Since his reputation has been damaged.

Hmmmm, they're all great possibilities.

How old are Jodi's siblings now?

I have no idea. Her sister that gave a comment to the Huffington Post a year or so ago was a younger sister.

I just had a thought about the duct tape. You recall that the door beneath the bathroom sink was open in the crime scene photos?

Stay with me on this. I saw David Letterman interviewing Al Pacino last night, and they were discussing "The Godfather". Pacino said that, although Coppola (the director) was on Pacino's side, some of the producers wanted to replace Pacino in the role of Michael Corleone. But they changed their mind after the scene where he shoots the two guys in the restaurant. His character (Michael Corleone) knew he was going to kill these two guys, but they had patted him down to make sure that he was unarmed. At one point, he went to the bathroom where a gun was duct taped inside the toilet tank. When he returned from the bathroom, he shot each guy between the eyes, dropped the gun and walked out of the restaurant.

So, back to Arias and Alexander ... what if Jodi had duct taped the gun beneath the sink? She was squatting for the final shots of Travis in the shower and when his back was turned, she could have reached beneath the sink for one (or both) weapons.
Great post! Welcome to Websleuths!
:welcome:

I’ve watched a physician geneticist and dozens of his residents measure eye widths and Jodi's look very small, IMO. Eye width is measured on those with abnormal behavior because the width decreases with prenatal alcohol exposure and other syndromes.

Absolutely. Eyes and head are measured for FAS and FAE.

Omg! That perfect! Perfect! At one time I thought perhaps she had taped it to herself...but abandoned that quickly due to lack of trace evidence.

Excellent! Most plausible theory to date! IMO

That's brilliant! And we know she knows ALL about the mob, she watched the sopranos....lol

Did the autopsy state that there was adhesive residue on Travis? Why are people certain the tape was on his bicep?

Odd isn't it that siblings haven't been in court at all.

Yeah, especially since she stated that she had a big close family and her childhood had been idyllic.

It's said to be in the photograph of him lying on the bed. I don't want to have to view a bunch of those pics again to find it, so I never looked for myself. I honestly don't know if its actually on his arm or not.

Sorry sooo many threads to catch up on ..just when I think I have read them i have like 20 more more pages to go ...

Yep that case was stalk city also

Nooooo!

Didn't mean it like that!

I just couldn't shake the weird feeling that I knew of another case involving a Mormon man and then BAM, I remembered something I had sorta watched on TV while finishing a quilt (so I was really more LISTENING) about this case!

I was just excited someone else knew the case I meant!

I'd bet money they spent their childhood's walking on eggshells.

you did far more work on the matter than I did, ty. Now I'm twice as curious how this will play out. But when it comes to law, I trust Juan to do his thing :)

A. I never not once mentioned this site tom their VA. She is not a member here and I am not their advocate. I am not even sharing with you all all that I know privately about this family. I stand by all my personal posts.

B. I will never under any circumstances mention any association with Websleuths. I never uttered that word out loud to anyone, any trial watcher any journalist I spoke to. It was an innocent mistake born of good intentions. No good deed goes unpunished and I know all too well about message board insanity.

C. Never ever did I suggest to the family or advocate that they read here. It never occurred to me. Maybe I should have been more proactive on this but wasn't. I apologize for the discomfort this has caused. If I could remove that comment i would. It was one small comment in a long sentiment about my relating to their situation and offering my support.

I'll tell who wished they hadn't read this forum today. Me.

I'm giving this thought over the weekend. I will be at trial 3 days next week but not sure if I will post about it. This disturbs me.

I am fairly new here, so I sure apologize if I am in any way out of line. IMO the subject matter of this case is such that there is no way you can't talk about the sexual aspects. It is what the entire defense revolves around. And it was a fairly significant part of the prosecution's case as well. I have seen very little bashing of the victim in any way here (some but not a lot, and even less of a sexual nature anyway). The jokes might get a bit over the top sometimes, particularly when it comes to the defendant, but I trust the mods to step in and let folks know when and if things get out of hand.

I would hope that Travis's family has a good support system (like the victim's advocates) that would warn them away from participating or viewing any social media sights during this trial. But if they do, I don't think this forum would come across to them as not being supportive of what they're going through.

I'm very sorry that katie feels the way she does. She has been in their shoes, so she knows first hand what they are facing.

MOO.

I'm right there with you HarvestMoon!

I don't know what's going on here at WS but there have been some real changes on this website the past few days. A couple of weeks ago we could all agree to disagree now it feels like everybody's feelers are out or getting their feelers hurt over what others post.

I believe there was a rule that you can attack the POST and not the poster. I'm sorry, but I feel it is really rude to post about another user as if they aren't a part of this community.

I'm pretty sure that this will be my last post because I refuse to be a part of it. I appreciate you all allowing me to interact and share my thoughts about this trial. Thank you for allowing me to chime in.
Thank you

I don't want to post any photos either, but there was a post of Travis with the duct tape around his bicep and one of him in the shower where you could see the indentation from where it had been. It was theorized that perhaps he used it showing his bicep strength. I asked a friend who told me that it is often done where people will wrap tape around their muscles and try to flex over and over to see if they can break or loosen the tape. Since Jodi said that Travis had been working out, I see this as a completely plausible reason and don't see anything nefarious about it. That's just my opinion though.

unfortunately, travis's family has been reading what's been posted online for the past four years. What's been posted at websleuths is much tamer, is moderated and victim friendly. I myself have stumbled onto some very disturbing websites and travis's sisters could have easily found their way to those very same spots.

What you, katie, gave them, was a warm hug from a bunch of strangers and instead of saying "a bunch of strangers", you mentioned the site. It was during a somber day of testimony during the defense portion of the trial, when i can only imagine their day begins with a giant lump in the pit of their stomach and the looming question of "what are they going to do to travis today?" i think you gave them a breath of fresh air, a glimpse of sunshine, a reprieve from the somber.

Please don't stop posting here; this is your longtime "home". You are loved and known here. We are your people. <3
