See, here's a problem. Beth says if the Judge allows it, expert will explain the difference between instrumental homicide and reactive homicide, which Beth says is the difference between first and second degree murder. Beth says this is for the Jury to determine, not an expert. But, if the Judge allows it, he will say the PTSD only shows up in reactive homicide and she has that, therefore this was not premedititated.

Earlier in the day when JM was objecting to the new things this expert brought to court, I heard discussion of how the messy crime scene shows it is reactionary homicide because you wouldn't expect that in premeditated murder.

I keep saying, imo, this messy crime scene was because the gun jammed and the plan went wrong--but now you can see some of the implications of a knife first homicide. Prosecution has to address this, imo.

IMO

Did u guys catch this dialogue?

JW: How do we know she wasn't able to tell anybody vs. she just doesn't want to get in any trouble?

RS: I guess that could be an alternative explanation, but when something horrible like that happens - can you imagine the feeling of isolation, if you can't turn to a parent? If you can't turn to a friend? If you can't turn to a professional to seek some help? The turmoil must have been incredible so i consider that to be a significant indication that she suffered from that disorder.

Me: WHAT?!?!?!? You didn't answer the question. And your diagnosis is based on your projection of what you thought she went thru?

Revoke his license! Worst shrink ever.

HA. BINGO.

Thank you for posting this. I was watching that and his 'Answer' made my jaw drop to the floor. :what:

I could not believe what a weak answer he gave. First, he gave the jury the chance to accept the 'alternative option', which was that she is just lying to save her arse.

And second, he jumps to some attempt to gain sympathy for her, like we should feel sorry that she couldn't 'share' her awful killing experience with her friends and family.

This guy is not really helping the DT, imo. MAYBE they will convince the jury that she truly can't remember the stabbing, but that doesn't get her off the hook.

I really think that this bit of evidence was faked and "recovered" years later, like the forged pedo letters. It didn't ring true (to me) as the writing style seemed to be written at a different time, and even the handwriting seemed "off".

I'd say it's a fair bet that most of her diary entries aren't honest. These entries were screenshots that JA read from while on the stand. She just didn't read everything on the screen (like she's going to be an excellent wife, etc.).

I agree, but the Dr. said he read all her journal entries... AND apparently took them as being truthful documents. It doesn't appear as though he saw the ones I posted (doctored or not - all her written entries are suspect imv).

Not only that - pacifists aren't known to slit the neck of an unarmed man, shoot him in the head and stab him in the back, chest, and more over 2 dozen times.

Not a pacifist. Not honest. Expert NOT credible.

I wonder if psychopaths like Scott Peterson, Drew Peterson, and Jeffrey Dahmer all suffered from PTSD. This one even bought another gun within days of murdering poor Travis. My guess is she needed protection in case one of Travis's relatives or friends came looking for to seek vigilante justice for Travis. I think she would have killed anyone who got in her way. She was such a drifter, it wouldn't surprise me if she was planning to run to Mexico to hide out.

All of her 'testimony' was patterned around Samuels report because she was most likely given a copy to read. Either that, or KN supplied her with the talking points. The only thing she wasn't supplied with was an acting coach - she's the worst actress...ever!

Good point.. I hope JM grills Samuels on the 9mm gun purchase and the excuse of gold panning with a boozing men... would someone truly traumatized by shooting and killing their ex boyfriend really want to hold in their hands a gun a few weeks later?? Would they want to put themselves in a vulnerable situation (as she described camping with these random dudes was) that may force them to "defend" themselves? I think NOT.
MOO!

It's kind of like asking the jury to go easy on the Menendez brothers because they were orphans.

Thats the best description I have heard about this troll and his line of spew .lol

This man has lost all credibility as an expert witness. When even the jury can see that this person has a personality disorder and he insists her problem is PTSD who else would trust his opinion?

Right?? Wonder if Juan will ask whether he tested her for Borderline, anti-social or narcissistic personality disorders. Anyone that's watched her for 18 days on the stand knows she played this guy like a fiddle. Like taking candy from a baby, it's so obvious! Or, he's in ca-hoots with her ~ either way I'm not buying this for one second. Bet the jury isn't either.

this testimony is revolting- i can't watch it or most of this trial. it is a three-ring circus.

I am not sure if I can stomach much more either. I may take a break until closing arguments. This trial is giving me headaches and making me so mad.

Maybe we should offer a murder hotline where you can brag about your kill without worrying about repercussions. No more acute traumatic syndrome!
Voila!
