It will be late. For starters, the evidence hearing won't start at 10:15 as planned (I'd guess 10:30 at the earliest) and I'm sure JW will drone on and on trying to make her point to allow it in. I wouldn't be surprised if the jury were told to go to an early lunch and court gets underway somewhere between 1:15 and 2:00 (AZ time).

Hearing today not cancelled till Monday?

How many of you, with children of dating age, are as horrified as I am by watching JA and CA? Our kids are out in the world with people like this? It's downright terrifying.

i have 2 teen daughters and a pre-teen son and I wory about them all the time. Always talking to them about seeing the "real" person. If someone shows you who they are ( negatively) the first time, believe them and don't stick around..etc, etc

It was interesting to hear Juan Martinez's comments about the case and I would like to see more of his prosecution. Is this part of a larger TV show episode? Nothing came up when I searched the 48 hours and Dateline web sites.

She knew she was about to be arrested, i.e. her makeup remark (imagine she knew she was about to have her picture taken with no makeup). Jodi likes to be sexually provocative. It is sort like bait to her. Somehow she seems to think it will make a difference with the men who are about to take her into custody. Have to wonder if she has avoided being arrested or getting into trouble in the past by using the same technique. When she set out to kill Travis Jodi expected to get away with it. Her actions in the video are deliberate and not natural even for someone who is insane. jmo

Weird you mention the knives she had in her boxes when she was arrested. I was thinking last night! And wondering if! One of those knives were the weapon! What was her obsession with knives!

When she was arrested was she driving! I heard she was at her grandparents! Getting ready to leave.

I agree it seems she loved knives. Dawn Treader actually remembered that it was in some boxes she had packed when she was arrested. I think it may have already been in the car packed. My understanding is she was literally about to drive away but I dont think she had left the house yet. The police said they had to move in because they were afraid she was going to flee.

I am so thankful LE did such a good job getting her off the streets. She really was dangerous and still is. She was even trying to smuggle notes out of jail. I dont trust her to this day.

Even yesterday, someone caught her on video sneaking with a pen in a folder during the trial. Almost like she may steal the pen or something. She is dangerous.

I am beyond the point of being surprised by JA's behavior. The one thing that brings me comfort is knowing not one juror will regret their guilty verdict after this trial is over and they explore EVERYTHING available in this case. The overwhelming evidence will heal any suffering of their souls from having the heavy burden of sentencing another human being to death.

Why is it legal For the Dr. to sell his diagnoses? He doesn't even utilize a treatment team or consult with colleagues. This is blatantly unethical. Shouldn't he at least lose his license? Not sure what the difference between this is and an MD selling a prescription for a little extra cash.

I had several errands and an appointment today and haven't caught up on overnight/today's posts. I'm sure that many have commented on the testimony of the DT's "expert" witness who was probably the worst that I've seen. Most of Dr. Samuels' assertions were based on Jodi telling him the truth which I'm sure isn't the case. I think it would take more than 12 sessions with Jodi to peel back the multiple layers of her scrambled psyche. It might even take the most highly qualified and experienced psychiatrist many months to get to the root of Jodi's personality problems.

I was unimpressed with anything that Dr. Samuels had to say, and I'm confident that JM will poke holes in most of his lame testimony. I think that Martinez has a better understanding of Jodi's scrambled brain than the psychologist/sex therapist. :moo:

Yes and I also think she could have had plans to commit another murder using the 9mm gun hidden in the engine of the rental car she was driving the day she was arrested in Yreka. If I'm not mistaken I believe LE also found a couple knives packed in some boxes of her belongings also in the car. Who might have been at risk? The Hughes? Potential witnesses like DB .. Gas cans ... Mimi? Clearly it's unlikely she was planning to commit suicide.

If she was ever intending to commit suicide, she'd be dead. She's homicidal not suicidal. And I'm sure Mimi and anyone near her/him are still shaking even thinking about that second car rental and hidden gun. She was most definitely heading out on another murder trip at that point. Her diabolical nature and violent dangerous nature is beyond anything I've seen outside of a documented serial killer like Dahmer.

yes! I just have this feeling if he survived Cancun...even if she tried again, maybe he would not be caught so off guard. Her plane this time just happened to work with the element of surprise. We get lost in her scenarios of running through closets flying through the air with guns.

He sat down in the shower, she stabbed him. There was never a fight. I wish he could have a do over.
