I went there once and never again.

How are people so delusional walking the streets

It's my fear that one of the delusional people walking the streets was chosen for this jury.

OMG Dr. Drew just said "Jodi Alexander" on HLN After Dark.

:gasp:

They've ALL been doing this - for weeks... :sigh:

No - the detective told her she would have to appear as she was at the moment.:great::great:

Maybe they should have taken her photo while she was standing on her head. And smiling, of course.

When I saw her tonight, what is going through my mind is JA and what she could have done with her life. This girl is in the courtroom, has goals and ambitions, and I admire her for that. In direct contrast, JA dropped out of high school to move in with a boyfriend, and has gone from man to man for a "meal ticket" until she murdered Travis and is now on trial for her life. What a huge waste ;) in comparison to this bright teenager we saw tonight on Dr. Drew.

ITA.

I know that at her age, I was WAAAY more interested in sorority socials and keggers at the beach than I was my studies, let alone observing first hand the workings of our judicial system.

My post meant no disrespect to that young woman, I only meant to point out how her opinions rose in the estimation of WSers after she posited in a way the majority agrees with.

Prior to that she was written off as a nice, but uninformed child. For liking Wilmott.

I just think it's kind of funny how she is only bright and capable if she agrees with the gang here. ;)

I think she is pretty cool for even WANTING to know how this machine works. Yay her!

I'm glad you brought that up!
Her bedroom at her grandparents very small! She used a small file cabinet for an end table! Her grandfather had his guns in a makeshift dresser drawer gun cabinet. Not locked!
Her grandparents were renting their house. So when she seen the home travis Lived in !She thought she hit the mother lode. A guy with a BMW nice furniture! Something going for himself. , more than her old boyfriends had going for themselves.

She lived vicariously through others and wanted what they had, both in achievement and possessions. She found Travis and thought she had hit the jackpot. When he finally rejected her and sent her packing back to Yreka, that was the beginning of the end for Travis. She couldn't stand what he had sent her back to. She thought she was above her grandparents' modest income and means. Yet they were the ones who opened their already cramped house to her. Then she stole from them.

They are being compensated? How much? I'm glad to hear this!

They are being compensated their working wage. In long trials, they are required to petition the court for compensation up to $300 per day. The jurors aren't making money off this trial, just compensated for the regular earnings. I think it's awesome too!

Ok, it's obvious court is over for today. Someone hurled - and you know any excuse is a good excuse to end early with this judge.

We'd have friggin bomb scares in school and were expected back in class afterward because they didn't call off school.

They can't clean puke in a timely manner? (I blame Dr Samuel's for this cause I felt like hurling a few times myself)

But the momentum is totally broken!!! Between a 4-day week (with an estimated of 4 hours per day of actual testimony between running late and constant side bars....), personal appointments, funerals, holidays and whatever other happy horse chit!

This Judge is a horrible leader!!!

I wish I could remember the name of the book...just remember that it had a picture on the cover of she and Paul on their wedding day. I do remember, however, that of all the books I read back then (I really loved Ann Rule's books the best!) it was one where the crimes were so horrific that I would actually have to put the book down and walk away...

Apologies for both O/T, and if this has been answered already, but the book is called "Deadly Innocence: The True Story of Paul Bernardo, Karla Homolka, and the Schoolgirl Murders".

This site seems less "Pro Jodi" and more "Bash Mr. Prosecutor"

Totally agree! It didn't make any difference to me when she was on the other night admiring defense counsel. Our judicial system needs criminal defense attorneys. Jennifer Willmott is only doing her job. I do not envy her.

Don't worry. JM tossed all delusional carp back into the pond. :)

At this time murder 1 is the only thing on the table. She walks if jury buys self defense - justifiable homicide in AZ.

I didn't want to believe this but it has been verified by our verified attnys.

I heard on TV (so it must be true) that if evidence was presented that would justify a charge of 2nd degree or manslaughter, the defense can ask the judge to give the jury an instruction for a lesser charge.

We have learned that AZ tax payer has paid over $800,000 for the JA defense.
HLN and other networks are making a fortune off this trial.

Therefore I propose that AZ state bill HLN and other networks covering this trial a JA appearance fee of at least $100,000 per week. I also think AZ should move to get copyright and trademark rights for anything related to Jodi Arias.

HLN devotes at least 5- 8 hours/day on this trial and charges its corporate advertisers per minute. Let the taxpayer who is bankrolling this circus get the return on investment.

I just read this to my husband and he clapped :seeya:

OMG the things people will admit on the internet. Remember though she must have monkey arms to reach the gun that was way above her head.

Yeah, sadly I only HAVE to admit to having monkey arms while online. IRL, it is patently obvious and not worthy of pointing out.

People usually just throw nanners my way......

I was just going to post this...

and it was mentioned that they can ask the judge to include it. Interesting reading about what has to be met for SD claim tho!

Because he believes in justice and fighting for it. God bless him.

He does not badger witnesses. I have seen worse Prosecutors in other cases that screamed to the top of their lungs and the Judges allowed it. This is not a walk in the park. Cross examination is suppose to be confrontational and then add that to a doctor who is inept, clueless and less than credible.........Juan did the right thing.

I have been a juror 5 times. I find Juan Martinez to be the best Prosecutor I have ever seen since watching criminal cases. I would have liked to have seen some of the Prosecutors on the cases I served on that has this much passion when seeking justice for the victim.

I am in awe of Juan and I am riveted every time he is up. The only ones that seem to criticize him are the ones that are not in the courtroom. Everyone that
has been in that courtroom day in and day out... including Beth Karas...said in
all of her years as a commentator in courtrooms he is by far the best she has ever seen.

If he was badgering the Judge would tell him to stop. He doesn't have to play Mr. Nice Guy with not so nice people.

IMO
I love JM brilliance! I get so tired of people criticizing him! The one that's more annoying is wilmott! Martinez is articulate!professional! If it was one of my family members ! I would want him to be their voice.
I don't like the defense! They are not prossionel! Jennifer wilmott is petulant! Rude and obnoxious!
She shows no respect for even the judge.
She lost the jury! By coming back to question the quack ! After martinez made him look like the quack that he is.
