"Can stress from a bad haircut cause Amnesia?" :floorlaugh:

Honey you have just hit the nail on the proverbial head right there. Two peas in a pod. I shudder.

It would never happen. People like Jodi have internal entennas that give them the ability to con the innocent and kind. That is what they do.

What happens if a juror cannot handle the financial strain this lengthy trial might be causing them? I need to check my company's policy. Although I have never been called to JD.

Last time I served I was paid nothing from the job, and received $7 per day juror pay.

The good 'doctor' testified Jodi was suicidal, and that he'd read in her journals she'd been so for some time, felt compassion and sent her a paperback book in hopes it might help her self esteem - then (and now) he says she wasn't suicidal - when he saw her, and while incarcerated.
But Jodi testified she gave her self her 'ouchie' papercut to the wrist along with lots of Advil, and extra laundry..you know, cause she totally meant it when she gave her multiple televised interviews saying no jury would convict her.
and purchased a 9mm handgun that she hid in her car to prepare to off herself...or to go camping with a group of male strangers, whose name she can't remember....
You know, either, or...yuck.

You know, if she had any sense she would have said that is exactly why she bought that gun. Baffles the mind....

They are able to ask for long term juror assistance. I imagine it's based on their usual income - they can get UP TO $300/day - again depending on their normal income.

Isn't it about 4 hours from travis' house to Hoover Dam in Nevada? Covered in Blood? If she came out of "fog" after all that time, there is No Way you could 'wash blood off' with water from Costco.

It seems as if the jurors are very astute.

Bad haircut....bahahahahaha

That's true, it would be dried and cakey!

Before court DefenseTeam in chambers - They all come out and someone asks TA's family to remove ribbons in support of TA/justice. This was reported by Tweeters.

Now we are finding out that the supporters have complied BUT TA's family has declined to remove the ribbons.

After closing statements we should have a bet on how long it will take for them to reach a verdict. I say one day and I'm being real generous!

It depends on what kind of deliberation schedule gets set up for them.... probably be told to come in at 11:45, break for lunch at noon, back at 1:30, break at 2, snack at 2:30. It may take a couple of days but in total, I give them 4.5 hours. Mark my words. :)

Yeah, 4 hours old blood. Dried. There is no way she cleaned them well with a water bottle.

Kelly

Well she did say she had a whole case of water :floorlaugh:

And didn't she say at one point she didn't have her shoes on? Or am I just foggy again?

something happened to Jinka - she used to be pretty good- relatively neutral and informative; things changed with the Casey Anthony case when she had her nose up the butts of the Baez/Mason duo-- with the anthony case and now this one she seems to want to find redemption for these two monsters. always looking for the good (there isn't any Jinka, there just isn't- they are both evil)

IMO, she is being paid to play a part.

Most of the jurors' questions have challenged him and his testimony.

Some have been downright snarky, snipey, sassy, sarcastic, etc.

He also gave the jury a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card by saying that PTSD is not one, IMO.

I think that was a deliberate defense strategy to invite the jury to find her guilty of 2nd degree or even 1st degree murder and sentence her to LWOP vs. death penalty.

THANK YOU! What does the BBM mean? Not one?? One what?

One Get Out Of Jail Free card.

He said that PTSD is NOT a Get Out Of Jail Free card.

He said he dx'd her with a personality disorder... That only juror question I want asked of him is "what personality disorder"?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He said 'not otherwise specified', so he wouldn't be pinned down to one. He said there were features of several. He also said he almost diagnosed with multiple personality d/o :floorlaugh:

Wow, this is hard. The judge talks too fast for me. This is my first time doing this, so bear with me. :please:

Juror Questions for Dr. Samuels 3/21/13
Judge Stephens: Please be seated [start time 10:59 AZ time]. Counsel please approach.
Arias aunts in seats, Katie DDJ present. Alexander siblings Samantha, Steven, Tanisha, husband Harold present. Maybe another sister? JA in red top & white shirt.
Dr. Samuels takes the stand, opens binder. Judge not smiling. Lots of whispering between JA & JW. JA looking a little nervous, sighing, licking lips.
Please stand for the jury.
Judge Stephens: Dr. Samuels, You are still under oath. I will ask questions from the jury in the order they were submitted
[VERY hard to get questions because judge speaks so fast.]
DS: A client is instructed that he does not have the same degree of confidentiality [when evaluation is done for a criminal charge, as opposed to other setting].
Q: In fight-or-flight scenario, is it just fight OR flight? Depends largely on circumstances. May begin as flight and change to fight as flight becomes impossible.
Q: Can fight or flight occur at the same time? Yes.
Objection. Overruled.
DS: A person can flee to the point where they cannot flee any more.
Q: Can memories blocked by fight-or-flight return or are they lost forever? If the hippocampus takes over I doubt the memories can be restored. But here they cannot be retrieved.
DS: The diagnosis of PTSD is based on evaluation, based on 35 years of experience, look at fact pattern, circumstances that occur, what characteristics are present in the client. She does meet the criteria of PTSD.
Q: Did you hypnotize her? No. Did anyone else hypnotize her? Not to my knowledge. Why not? It would not be helpful if the memories do not exist.
Q: Could you extricate old memories? If some reviews photographs, etc., they might form pseudo-memories but they are not real memories. You can implant memories in a child by repeating something to them often enough, but in my opinion not likely with adult.
Q: Would others in your field concur with each other? Rarely. We couch our diagnoses as “in all probability.” Other forms of medicine can be more precise.
Thank you, I could not do this at all. You did great.

If it does NOT matter what the truth of the trauma JA incurred is – the trauma reported as A was really B but after a while it was really C - the essence is that the diagnosis is really Y that leads to symptom complex X.

So if for example JA believes she endured trauma A which was merely a dream that entailed circumstances B or C or D then she receive a diagnosis of Y which would predict the symptoms of X.

So JA initial or secondary or tertiary story of A is not important. We could substitute the state theory of TA crime ie circumstance F or we could invoke circumstance R “demonic possession of JA” or for that matter circumstance P “alien intervention” – none of those facts are important because the diagnosis Y PTSD does not depend on the details of the circumstances – just the perceived trauma which inexorably might lead to symptoms x or “selective amnesa”.

QUACK QUACK QUACK.

I was wondering earlier today about Travis and Jodi as a couple.

Hmmmmm".....wonder how things went so fast with them.

5 months......sex....truck stops and what .....the occasional trip. No movies, dinner ? Nada ?

How and who set the status of them as a couple ? Then...what was the turning point ?

I think that meeting in Sept.....3 months later shes claiming an open spot under his Xmas tree at a house party she was not invited to. what the he!! .?

Dd Travis tell her about the party ? Had they had sex yet?, this is bizarre .

Moo

Does anyone know if the official transcript is published with regularity? I feel the need to box the Dr. in on his testimony - he said today that PTSD is not probable in a premeditated killing but most probable in self defense. I swear he said the complete opposite on direct with respect to premeditated. I'd love to see the transcript, but going to check out You Tube for now.

Good for them
Alexander family!
Stand your ground against these idiots

Yes. I bet Arias is demanding it. I say wear them. And if they are forced to remove them by the Judge then as someone suggested earlier I hope they all wear elephant charms/jewellery. I'm usually a fan of dainty ones but I hope they wear huge in-your-face ones. No one is going to stop Justice for Travis, least of all the killer.

Emotionally I would NOT want to take off the ribbon of my family member. Realistically, I would not want to be the cause of ANYTHING interfering with the murderers date with the needle.
