I'm concerned about some of them too. Some appear to award value to the shrink's opinions, particularly regarding his view on the claimed 'lost memories'. I know others have encouragingly asked him if she could have faked the loss but the stark fact remains, it only takes one with a shred of doubt.

We here have the benefit of wide-ranging reports and commentary so we can dismiss the guy more readily. I fear a unanimous verdict may only be reached if several the jurors have the strength of character to plead the case again during deliberation and use their powers of persuasion. :please:

I don't know what order that question came in on. Was it before Juan questioned him? I think the later questions are more telling as the judge did state that the questions asked were in the order that they were received.

The Dr has twisted himself into pretzel answering questions. Anymore twisting and he'll be as, shall we say..."limber" as we know JA to be.

God, I really hope Juan points out that venting anger at her mother most definitely shows a very SOLID form of Aggression and assertiveness. I hope the jury picks up on the fact that the doc employs extreme bias in his application of his own terms.

He said he dx'd her with a personality disorder... That only juror question I want asked of him is "what personality disorder"?

He said he couldn't specify which one (as in unable to come up with a diagnosis), but it was a "personality disorder". What a quack.

What happens if a juror cannot handle the financial strain this lengthy trial might be causing them? I need to check my company's policy. Although I have never been called to JD.

The way I understand it, they are being compensated for lost wages up to a certain amount.

He said 'not otherwise specified', so he wouldn't be pinned down to one. He said there were features of several. He also said he almost diagnosed with multiple personality d/o :floorlaugh:

He must have attended the same school as Dr Drew

Last time I served I was paid nothing from the job, and received $7 per day juror pay.

Lucky me if I ever had to serve on a jury! I live across the street from the courthouse! And out my building back door is starbucks
:floorlaugh:

It's so encouraging to see Travis's siblings there every single day.

Let's hope that their ever-present visages help to hold that jury accountable.

KCL mentioned how very important it is for this family to be in court every single day. They need donations to be able to continue to stay in town and live during this trial. IF anyone feels so moved, in the courtroom observers thread is the information to donate.

The haircut trauma question was the funniest! :floorlaugh:

I am sure juror asked this question because Dr Dowad has such a bad haircut and he seems to get amnesia when questioned by Juan.

favorite line of the day...Dr Dowad..."this is not a get out of jail card" ....hehehe

I saw that too and she whispered something to JW who also looked. I thought it was about the ribbons that Travis's family refused to remove which I support

What did I miss about these ribbons? Was the family asked to remove them?

Family and friends of Travis:
Wear navy blue to court!!!!

I keep seeing "Jodi traded up" posts - I must have missed it. What was said? Was it something Jodi told Doc? Was it a juror question? TIA!!!

IIRC from his ramblings, he said she didn't fit any "norm" diagnosis. Just like somebody else we know.

Does anyone know if the official transcript is published with regularity? I feel the need to box the Dr. in on his testimony - he said today that PTSD is not probable in a premeditated killing but most probable in self defense. I swear he said the complete opposite on direct with respect to premeditated. I'd love to see the transcript, but going to check out You Tube for now.

No. The court reporters sell the transcript by the page. That's how they make most of their money.

Didn't someone say that one of the Jurors may be a hair dresser...lol.

I want ya'll to know I can understand that question.

I am very particular on how my hair looks. If my hair dresser does something different or I ask for a cut that I cannot manage I really think I go through PTSD.

It was prolly the "hairdresser" who ask that. Wasnt that juror #5 "Tricolor"

She could relate to customer having trama with their bad hair do's. If she is in fact a hairdresser.

I would think that, considering she said she stored up and taken Advil in prep of committing suicide, and everyone has seen her apparently taking a pill on the sly in court, shouldn't they be watching her much more closely given her previous admission? Who knows what kind of attention-getting stunt she's capable of with the trial not quite going in her favor.

What did I miss about these ribbons? Was the family asked to remove them?

The family still has them on, so I believe EVERYBODY ELSE was asked to remove them. But that is just my take. Can't wait for Katiecoolady to post about it tonight.

The ribbons were not removed. They are continuing to wear the ribbons.

So, if they were asked, they refused and they were not removed from the courtroom.

I didn't hear any question that was snarky, sniffy, sassy, sarcastic, etc.
Wish I had. They all appeared very respectful of him. Ugh.

Did you hear the 'bad haircut' question?

Also, several questions asked him about his mistakes and typos and his basing his test results upon lies. Also they asked him about ethical boundaries and impartiality. And thgey asked why he compared Jodi to soldiers and cops.

I don't think many of the questions implied any deep respect for him. JMO
