I always come back to the fact (or what I view as fact) that JA's word has no credibility.

None.

That's her own doing.

The more she talks, the more stories she creates, the more inconsistencies, the harder it is to believe her, the more difficult it is to weed out to bs from the potential truth.


Essentially Samuels and Miss Snow White is a DV Victim are entirely responsible for explaining away why JA lies and why she forgets and why we (or the jury) should believe anything she says. I'm sure Alyce LaViolent is a lovely person who worked backwards very effectively in this case, taking the defendant's words about the man she murdered as gospel and crafted her paid expert opinion very narrowly on these accounts to formulate a theory meant to excuse her client's actions entirely.

I have to believe that these jurors realize this case isn't quite rocket science. Let's not over think. Let's use our common sense. Let's look at the evidence. Let's listen to what makes sense and what doesn't. Let's look at who has to gain from testifying and who doesn't. Let's look at who has been consistent and who hasn't. Let's look at what's reasonable. Let's look at the charges, the law, the evidence, the ME's testimony, the timeline of events.

I mean... personally, I have a very, very, very difficult time thinking that someone who is well in the head who has actually sat through this entire trial could possibly come up with anything other than 1st degree murder. It's really not that difficult. Cmon.

After closing statements we should have a bet on how long it will take for them to reach a verdict. I say one day and I'm being real generous!

I find the questions incredibly annoying considering how Juan completely and totally crushed this twits opinion on PTSD.

This isn't a psychology classroom and this witness is the last person I'd want " teaching" me anything. I have zero respect for him and his opinion and IMO the jurors should feel the same way. He's insulting my intelligence.

Could someone please explain about TA's ribbons? Who wanted the family to remove them? Was it an offical request?

Before court started attorneys were in chambers.

Juen comes out and takes Travis' family to conferance room.

Family comes out and says they were ask to remove their ribbons.

Tweeter said they were remvong them, but later twitted they left them on, refused to take them off.

I say good for them.

Jodi never had a respect for authority. Her mom and dad didn't abuse her. They tried to correct her and make her a better person and she left home. Moved in with some guy, left him, moved in with DB, left him. She is horrible. She never loved TA. She wanted his lifestyle. Even Dr. S just testified to that.

Her mom has to be there for Jodi. She is a mother and I am sure she doesn't want her daughter together the DP. But she realizes what Jodi is.

Isn't it about 4 hours from travis' house to Hoover Dam in Nevada? Covered in Blood? If she came out of "fog" after all that time, there is No Way you could 'wash blood off' with water from Costco.

It seems as if the jurors are very astute.

Before trial could start this morning Nurmi was speaking/complaining about something and all of a sudden the seal is back up and the judge calls the attorneys into chambers. Soon after JM escorts TA's family into a side room. After the session began Travis's family confirmed that the DT had requested that everyone remove their blue ribbons. Travis's family refused but everyone else had to.

That has to be the saddest thing I have heard so far. Jeez. Has anybody mentioned her families courtoom antics and anything be said about it? Or are we to assume since it is a DP case the defendant will get all of the leeway here?

Ridiculous. I hope on the day the verdict is handed down everyone in the place is wearing buttons, carrying pictures and wearing ribbons all over.

I was just thinking - she would be the type to harm her own child if that child's father broke up with her or pissed her off.

Gotcha! The questions being asked in order of them going in the basket does suggest that the PTSD clarifications stemmed from Wilmott's direct. I personally sensed a change in the questioning as they reflected Juan's cross.

I thought JM went first after juror Qs when IT was on the stand.

Most of the jurors' questions have challenged him and his testimony.

Some have been downright snarky, snipey, sassy, sarcastic, etc.

He also gave the jury a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card by saying that PTSD is not one, IMO.

I think that was a deliberate defense strategy to invite the jury to find her guilty of 2nd degree or even 1st degree murder and sentence her to LWOP vs. death penalty.

This is why I majored in a hard science. No buffoonery. Well that, and I like it.

I enjoyed my Psych classes (social science elective requirements) and adored the Prof. The first semester was a large lecture - 100 students, IIRC - but the second class was much smaller and allowed for more discussion and interaction with instructor and classmates. I found the subject matter fascinating.
