I'm sure this has been talked about before. If so, I missed it as I wasn't a member then. Does anybody know why Deanna Reid's name was listed as the profile name in the history of the YouTube videos searched on Travis' computer at approximately 4:00 a.m. on June 4th? Thanks!

Love your avitar! Sorry for the OT, but I just had to comment! Huge, and I MEAN HUGE Led Zep fan here, and am feeling quite dazed and confused myself after trying to figure out (unsuccessfully) how the finger picking goes on the song "Going to California" for almost two days straight :banghead: I had just put down the guitar for the night and had given up totally and was going to start on something new tomorrow when I saw your post. It was a SIGN not to give up. LOL!

Anyway, I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm sure someone here will know. Carry on!

Jumping off your post, and other posts that compared JA to Ted Bundy.
A psychiatrist hired to analyze Bundy had the following to say about him:
(all of it eerily similar to JA.)

"My impression was that it was typical behavior of a psychopath who likes to defy authority, who has a need, who is driven to defy authority - and that includes lawyers, psychiatrists, law enforcement, judges - and that was more important to him than saving his own life. He was typically responding to a gratification of the moment. He did not appreciate the seriousness of the charges. He could intellectually tell you what the charges were, but he just dismissed them as real insignificant. It was part of the illness, his attitude was the product, the outcome, of the nature of the illness.

He (Bundy) would not take the guilty plea, because that would terminate the show. His ability to be the celebrity would come to an end, he would be just someone who was spared from the death sentence, and the show would be over. Whereas, his need was to have the proceedings go on and on in order to gratify his pathological needs.

He was not motivated by a need to help himself. He was motivated by the need to be the star of the show. He was the producer of a play in which he was playing a big role."

just wow.

Eerily wow is right! I watched some footage earlier of Jodi while Juan was crossing her and OMG she was enjoying every single minute of it. Smiling and smirking like she didn't have a care in the world - other than to try to "out-wit" Juan. It was unbelievable how she thinks this is a game!

Bank records would IMO prove Jodi's lending money or not. Should be easy to disprove now that her journal gave a date.

I still think she stole money from him

I agree. If he borrowed money from her, then why was she the one writing him checks to pay back money that she borrowed? Wanted to add that I couldn't believe my ears when she asked the detective on the phone if her check was going to be cashed now that Travis was dead. :what:

I'd seriously like to know where all of JA's money came from. I thought I read somewhere that her car was repo'ed, her bank accounts had overdrawn fees and she was paying TA for the BMW. Then she deposits money into 2 seperate bank accounts (there's that OCD 2) and has money for a road trip complete with nail salon.

Same here. Didn't she have a waitress job at an eating establishment of some sort? Also, wasn't it Jodi who came up with the money for the down payment on the house she and Darryl Brewer bought together? Do I have that correctly? I realize waitresses can make decent money (not a huge amount, but enough to live on), but I also read that her car was repo'ed and that Travis was loaning her money. Doesn't make complete sense to me.

IMO, she needed to make it look like she was making the payments on the BMW
Travis sold to her even though she hasn't made any attempts to paying him
back.
Only after the murder do we see her trying to make it believable, by online
banking/signed checks she knew would never get cashed, that she was paying her dues for the BMW.

:rocker: I thought Dazed and Confused was appropriate for not only how I feel trying to figure this out, but the lyrics are very fitting for JA.

"Going to California" is a great song. So many of Zeppelin's songs are hard to play - Page was a master of guitar. Wishing you luck with it and glad to meet a fellow huge zep fan!!! :great:

just wow.

"Just wow", is RIgHT!!! Oh my! ...that pretty much sums up exactly how Jodi is, and what she's been doing! Wow! ...just WOW!

.

True dat. not to get OT, but my bro's son was getting in a lot of trouble with drugs/violence. He ended up paying to send him to military school for a couple of years. Shewww -- he's grown up to be a fine man with a beautiful family.

Back in the day, there should have been a program available for JA (thinking 2004/2005). It's obvious from the parent's interrogation tapes they knew JA had issues, and they thought solving it would be to send her of to the grandparents? That kinda confuses me.

I'm sure they had no idea she would murder -- but she definitely needed some kind of help.

MOO

I'm glad your nephew was able to get it together. Parents just don't know what to do with a troubled kid sometimes. It's seems like Jodi's parents knew she had problems but never dreamed how troubled she really was. The mother seemed baffled that she committed such a gruesome murder and then came home and acted like she was just on vacation. I've read a lot of law over the last 15yrs or so, and murders come from all kinds of backgrounds, rich, poor, religious, abused, perfectly functional families doesn't seem to matter. Something happens that can't be explained and some people become murders and others don't.

I bet not! She probably cleaned him out after murdering him. Remember Flores commenting on Travis not really having that much money? I guess not, if JA cleaned out his accounts!

Wasn't he going on vacation the next day? So he may have had travelers checks or extra money with him? Wonder if he borrowed any money from someone?

How would she know that it wasn't already deposited?

Is there any suggestion that Jodi did weed (or any other affecting substance) more recently?

Someone mentioned something during Samuel's testimony. It was a score she got on one scale that made me go Hmmmm.

But I don't remember anything but that vague summary. Sorry!

Besides waitressing, I think she would have been a combo dancer/waitress at a strip/topless/club/bar. (not petty, but most likely true if she had any money to loan) Or she stole it.

The story painted by the defense just reminds me of a bad video link where it starts and stops & makes no headway. A bad link. All choppy. Bad story JA. It doesn't flow or make sense. Maybe to her, but not me & hopefully the jurors.

O/T Led Zeppelin is mine. Stairway to Heaven was our wedding song in 1972. I'll change my avatar tomorrow...ha ha It's true.

It's been a little while since I listened to that call, but IIRC, the detective told JA that he found the check at Travis' house and that is when she asked if it was going to be cashed.

It was kind of like that same attitude when she asked about being able to clean herself up at the police station before her mug shot... [paraphrasing] "I know this is going to sound really shallow of me, BUT..."

That's the same attitude she had when asking if she would be able to get that money back into her account now that Travis was dead. Totally inappropriate and tactless. I was honestly aghast.

Fell asleep listening to her boring voice. But seriously did she mention something about boiling a frog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She asked about that check a few times. I think she used it to get into Travis' that day knowing it would never be cashed. When she was asking for it, she was still playing the "I wasn't there." So she had to act like she had no idea what became of the check.

:yourock: Another great song!!!

Every Zeppelin song is a masterpiece. Awesome to know another huge fan on here!! Looking forward to seeing your new avatar. :woot:

She doesn't. Rsspump.com is a website that picks up all the RSS feeds about ALV and JA.

This is ALV's website. Funnily enough, her in the news page doesn't feature JA!

http://www.alycelaviolette.com/index.htm

I don't want to turn this into a point for negative comments but I barely recognise ALV in her photo.

ETA - In ALV's CV under Court experience, she has 2011-13 "Expert Witness and Consultant" Death-Penalty Murder Trial Phoenix, Arizona In ALV's other court experiences, ALV rarely mentions the location of the trial. Why this one? I guess she thought it was going to go better than it has

:offtobed: GN all. Hope ALV isn't ill tomorrow. The sooner she gets back, the sooner she'll be done.
