Why would TLM admit to the hammer blows if she didn't do it??

IMO there's a number of possible reasons:

1)Her mother is dying or already dead and she has no job, no home
2) as we can see she spends most of her time in detention and puts up a front to survive, maybe figures she's worth nothing and will land up there anyway, a killer is her card
3) She's totally obessed with MR and told him she will take the rap and did
4) He theatened her

I'm sure there's alot of possibilities, maybe we haven't yet got to that part

RaffertyLFP: McClintic told probation officers she had fantasies of blowing up police stations or cutting someone's throat [via Twitter]

Why would she tell probation officers this, unless she wanted to stay in prision? Now there is food for thought. Maybe she wants to be declared a dangerous offender so she won't have to get out and face her horrible life again and that's why she said that she is responsible for Tori's death. Prison might just be an improvement for her. Just trying to make sense of this--I don't feel sorry for her!:moo::jail:

McClintic being shown the CASS security video. Says it was not her walking with Tori.

In the video McClintic is being shown some images on a police laptop

McClintic was shown a CASS surveillance video Police ask if the woman in the video was her She laughs and said no

McClintic says the video she was shown did not include her. She says it was a separate video.

McClintic said it was another segment of the video - not the one that showed her walking with Tori

Derstine plays another segment of police interrogation video from April 12th. McClintic is watching more security footage.

Video resumes - Police ask her is woman in another CASS video segment is her? she pauses appears unsure

When will Derstine reinforce the point that TLM wielded the hammer?

He might say something like:

"So, YOU, Terri Lynne McClintic MURDERED Victoria Stafford? You are admitting it was YOU and NOT Michael Rafferty who murdered Victoria?"

Maybe because if you believe her that she killed Victoria, maybe you have to believe her when she says he sexually assaulted Tori, and that puts him at the murder, and that makes him guilty.

Where is he going with this? :banghead:

She lied but she believed what she was saying? Rafferty did it (?) is that what she's referring to?

When she first got arrested and they questioned her she lied and said she had no idea what happened to Tori, than they grilled her and she told them everything except at first said it was MR, than she said it was her, that's when they changed the charges

McClintic says media description of woman walking with Tori "scared the **** out of her" because she looked similar.

Det.Cst Kelly was told by McClintic she wanted to help as much as she could on the recording.

Derstine asks McClintic is she was lying about not being in video She lied to police saying she wanted to cooperate with them

McClintic says the woman on the recording was wearing much different clothing than she was.

McClintic and Kelly laughing and joking as they watch security recordings.

April 12th video resume McClintic says there is no way she is in video based on her the time frame

The charges were upgraded to Murder One I thought once it was determined that TS was deceased ... up until that point I thought it was kidnapping. Murder One is the charge when a person dies as the result of an abduction. Does anyone have a link to the initial charges?

If TLM is trying to pin the murder on MTR, then why is she saying now that she did it?

If TLM is lying about MTR being the murderer, and admitting it herself, wouldn't Derstine be happy she is now confessing to being the one to wield the hammer?

If Victoria Stafford was murdered during the course of a kidnapping, aren't the kidnappers guilty of murder, regardless of who actually swung the death blow on the precious child?

Yes, they would both be guilty if they were both there and regardless of actually killed Tori. Maybe TLM is exerting her little bit of power and control to aid MTR's parole eligibility and appear the heroine by taking the fall.

I can't believe a judge is letting this questioning go on this long without telling Derstine to get to the point and show how his line of questioning relates.

Seems like a lot of smoke and mirrors on Derstine's part ... unless he's trying to tie her seemingly vindictive nature and lying together to ultimately insinuate TLM was capable of planting evidence and fabricating a story to put MTR at the scene. Dunno

In the video, McClintic says she was happy police brought her in: "wow, this is awesome. I'd like to help as much as I can."

Yeah, I guess not. I believe AG mentioned TLM's Facebook profile was was wide open until her arrest. I was thinking about the case where a teacher was forced into resigning after she posted a picture of herself on Facebook holding a drink. She had all kinds of security in place, but perhaps some "friend" informed the school anonymously.

Derstine is grilling McClintic on the detailed story she told to police in the interview, lying about what she was wearing etc.

If I remember correctly the exact wording of the charges, originally her charges were kidnapping and abduction and than when she said it was her, they went to murder 1
