FYI

Having worked for 3 years for a cell phone carrier, I know that manufacturers of smartphones will not replace a phone for water damage. And it's very easy to tell if a phone has been water-damaged by looking at the colour the little tab is under the battery. The tab will turn red.

JW said he wanted to exchange his bb because it was water-damaged.

ps, not just smartphones, any phone.

In case there was an issue with the phone number being posted......here is a comment from LFP

Mike Knoll: @david - I called it and it's not in service. I think it's relevant based on area code.

why post rafferty's old phone number..I am sure Bell has recycled it by now and some poor innocent person is getting hundreds of prank calls

Are there any new pictures on how Rafferty looks during this trial

Mike Knoll: @guest - no cameras are allowed in court. the most recent picture we have was taken 3 weeks ago... it can be seen on the lfpress.com homepage right now.

Did TLM testify earlier that Rafferty took the battery out of his BB as they were leaving Woodstock?

Mike Knoll:- yes.

How could the Judge say it's sleep inducing?? It's imperative to this case that the Crown show he was trying to get rid of evidence

Yup.....this judge has done a few things that I'm not very pleased about but I'll reserve my comments backed up with facts until after the trial.

OK, how many phones did he have? I'm confused. JMO

Well, I don't know this for sure, but would not the police request the phone not be recycled because of the investigation?

He had the bb from 2007, he sent it in to bell to have it repaired, bell store gave him a loaner until his phone was sent back from RIM. That is normal procedure when a phone is sent in for repair.

ps, I suppose that the BB wasn't back from RIM yet as the police said it was still at RIM

So MR complained to Bell about his phone not working properly on May 14th, yet his first interview with police wasn't until May 15th. So it doesn't seem to me that he exchanged his phone because he was spooked by the police.
