Well first off I don't think he's innocent. If he gets off on everything else, he still has to answer to charges of aiding and abetting, hiding a body, and whatever else.
But why should the law aopologize for doing its job? I understand that in the case of the wrongly convicted who have served time in jail that the law should apologize and make restitution, but not in this case
I don't have it in front of me, but I think I recall the tweet saying the officer was on Hwy 59/Norwich Ave. I would take this to mean just inside the city limits south of the 401. Highway 59 (now CR 59) comes into Woodstock from the south and is Norwich Ave north of the 401, becomes Cedar Street where it veers a bit west, then Wilson Street from the tracks until Dundas Srreet (Hwy 2). It then follows Dundas to the west end of town and turns north on Vansittart Ave towards Tavistock. Nobody calls it Highway 59 inside Woodstock. (Woodstock has an amazing number of streets that change their name every couple of blocks.) If the officer had been on Norwich Ave inside the city limits, I don't think he would have said "59".

IIRC MR had a mastercard or visa card in that one drawer where the hair dye receipt was found at his mom's house. Maybe it was JW's treat to pay for the trip, so he purchased something nice for her from LaSenza to wear while they were away in Las Vegas together???
We don't know how far south. I was assuming just south of the 401 or at the exit. I can't think of any reason for him to go farther south. Burgessville? Was one of the women he met from there? Also, that would be the way you would go from the east end of Woodstock to the Salford landfill site, but this was at night when it's closed.
