I'm really confused about the Crown strategy here.

Why put a witness on the stand who basically says the search revealed nothing?

The only one who gained anything from the testimony was Derstine, who disagreed with Det. Scoyne the other day about the elevation, and this witness confirmed that Derstine was correct.

Am I missing something?

He located the vehicle on Norwich Drive in Woodstock, the followed the vehicle to the GoodLife fitness in Woodstock.

Rafferty put plastic bags in a Honda Accord at the gym. A woman was driving. Rafferty was getting into the car.

At 7:37 initiated takedown. Vehicle blocked

Lima says they began a take down. Rafferty was arrested for the abduction of Tori Stafford.

Rafferty approached and he verbally identified self. Placed under arrest for abduction of Tori Stafford.

Lima radioed in and was told the charges against Rafferty would be murder

Quick reply here before I must go clean my house. Someone said yesterday that it did not make sense that MR would leave TS shirt on while raping her. However it does make sense as rape is not about sexual pleasure but about power and control over the other person. Secondly most women who are raped do not have there shirts taken off, the rapist only removes the necessary clothes to do his awful deed.

The woman driving the vehicle Rafferty was getting into was Joy Woods. Identified by her driver's license. No more questions.

No cross examination. Lima done. Court recessing until 2 p.m.
