I believe this is a CYA moment. In reality, they sent EJ on her way to pack and get going on the trip they all planned. That would be hard to do if Gabriel was at the Smith's house and needed to be passed off to Logan the next morning.

IMHO - Jack and Tammi knew exactly where EJ was going. It just didn't make sense to keep Gabriel at their house for the plan to work.

Again, JMHO.

Mel

Exactly.

JS . . . I can't remember if I talked with Logan . . . I am sure I did. . . . yeah . . . Man to Man . . . I did talk to him (??????????)

Logan told Smiths he had seen a myspace entry 11 hours ago . . . Buddy beginning to crawl? . . . .JS went into his computer . . ..look up EJ's and there were several . . . . it did say that . . .JS sent her a message . . . . "EJ please let us know you and Gabriel are ok - we have something serious to talk about . . . Yeah I did tell Logan I sent it (high pitch). Text came into TS phone from EJ . . . 15 min after he made myspace post . . . he has no idea if Logan contacted EJ directly . . . EJ said Yes I should have told you . . . everythin is fine - JS said there are problems - what is up?

TS sent a text back saying too much info to text . . . call us. . . . EJ did not tell where she was . . . general local . . . on a 210 area code . . . JS was talking to EJ . . . Tammi looked up where is 210 . . . San Antonio Tx ., she was afraid they would tell Logan and life or safety would be at risk. EJ found someone who going to get her new identity go under ground, change hair color and never hear from her again. On Speaker phone during this conversation . . . Jack told EJ to come home, not the way to do this, what happens if he breaks his leg . . .can't get him in a hospital. Conversation ended with EJ on Tues. following friday after giving Gabriel back. EJ was upset . . . Jack picked up phone and immediately called Logan and told EJ they told Logan and gave EJ's phone number with the 210 area code.

Tell EJ anything other than come home . . . NO it was come home, that is not teh way to do things .. . no - come home.
Provided Logan with EJ's phone number - conversation with Logan because of volitle relationship they have - she is angry . . . you need to find her . . . .she is in San Antonio it is not that big of a town. Get your father to help you with LE involvement. WE were under the threat she was going to change her identity.

Lunch Break - back @ 1:30

Sleazy is the right word. The more he talks I do think he's giving the prosecution a lot of opportunity to grill him like a cheese sandwich. He's too vague about some things, and then way too detailed about inconsequential stuff.

I think EJ is just something I can't say here - but TS and JS aren't much better.

Let me say this, while I find this guy to be as greasy as a pizza, I would be ecstatic to have him as my witness. He is very, very good. Very smooth, very well-spoken, knows how to inject emotion into his testimony and he will come across as believable to most jurors. Ick.

My personal opinion here. . . he has a "Drew Peterson/Jerry Sandusky" sort of look and feel to him. Not suggesting anything other than that . . . . I do not mean to paint a picture that isn't relevant - just my initial reaction.

Yeah, I agree. I can only hope that there are some on the jury who see it the same way!!!!:please:

Remember though, the jury has already heard the recording of Jack when he said to Logan "What? Do you want your son living in a trailer?!" The jury has already heard the ugly side of Jack and believe me, what they are seeing now is a real contrast.

It's always nice to see you Dave :) Haven't seen ya in awhile!

Mel

I do not come here as much. It seems some are happier when they do not see me, and staying away makes the moderators job much easier. Besides, I have a goal to have 30 websites (28 new) by the end of the year. 23 1/2 to go!

You give me hope! Hope the prosecutor brings that up, among other things.

I'd love to have the prosecution play the tapes where Tammi is describing Jack's daughter in *ahem* less than flattering terms (making her sound MUCH worse than Jack), and get Jack's reaction to what his wife said about his daughter....

Good point. I hope that sticks with them through this. Personally, I'm worried.

And it sounds like it was a Downs Syndrome baby? Rachel didn't mention that, did she? She also didn't mention anything about money.

She was asked about whether she asked for money and she said no! I believe her. I wonder what she thinks about this testimony and how they are portraying her.

Howdy everyone!! Been a long time since I have been on here! I am home sick and watching the trial. Are there archive videos of the trial? Thanks!

  • #133
And Mr. Smith, since you already testified about meeting Rachel Hoover, what exactly did you say to her during that meeting (that allegedly freaked out Rachel to her not wanting them to adopt her baby after all)????

My streaming is down now, anyone else?

tammi is a nurse but has felony convictions and lost custody of her own children . . . . How is that even congruent since she would be caring for vulnerable populations? Is she still a nurse or had some nurse's training in the past?

they need to ask where did ts receive her nurseing experiance.
