Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia: 10 confirmed dead, 25 injured in mass shooting (2/10/2026)

Hmmm.... 🤔

"Police also have a history of attendance at the family home,
with officers responding to calls relating to both mental illness and weapons.

'Police have attended that residence in the past,
approximately a couple of years ago,
where firearms were seized under the Criminal Code',
McDonald said.

'I can say that at a later point in time,
the lawful owner of those firearms petitioned for those firearms to be returned,
and they were'."

Oh well,
the same old story it seems.

  • They say the suspect was "born as a biological male, who.... approximately six years ago began to transition to female, and identified as female"
So at 12 years old they started transitioning? Does that mean taking hormones n such? I have a friend..they were in transition female to male. But they were an adult..
It was definitely interesting to see what meds n hormones can do, they had not got to surgery part....moo

Guns without license, mental health, visits from LE over the years, was held on the Mental health Act at some point,
Left school at 14?
"The rightful owner" was able to get the guns back. Was this the mother? These guns were back in that household.

This appears to be one of the biggest "lose-lose" situations I have ever seen.

I am just gut wrenched over these 25 injured, as well as the 9 killed.
Mother, brother and so many CHILDREN killed and injured.
How many bullets over how long a period of time?

But I am also feeling so very very sad for the transgender community and all their friends and loved ones, who will, yet again, probably have to experience insufferable negativity.

my pained opinion only.

I don't see this as a "trans" issue. But I do think that more research needs to be done on transition for children. I am not sure that is best for children.

Moo...oh I think it is a trans issue, small town red neck issue. But that is their parent guardian issue. They did not protect their child...moo

ADMIN NOTE:

This thread is for discussion of this horrible tragedy, the lives lost, the loved ones left behind, the heartache.

This thread is NOT for discussion of whether the perp was straight, gay, bi, trans, or anything else between A to Z.

Don't struggle with pronouns ... she identified as female and their name is Jesse.

Posts that start discussion of gender / sexual orientation etc will be banned from this thread.

This is all I have seen ... no real specifics on that yet.

Two firearms were recovered at the scene – a long gun and a modified handgun. Police are still working to determine their origins and role in the incident.

Also ...

Those killed at the school were a 39-year-old teacher, three 12-year-old female students and two male students aged 12 and 13. One victim was found in the stairwell, and the others were located in the school’s library.

The suspect had a firearms license that had expired in 2024 and did not currently have any firearms registered to her.

The suspect had dropped out of Tumbler Ridge secondary school about four years ago and was not currently a student there.

I’m praying for the two survivors, both are now in critical but stable condition. My thoughts, love and prayers go out to all the victims. 🙏🏼🤍

The Nova Scotia thing was a LOT different, because it had multiple sites over a couple of days, and they weren't sure at first who was doing it. That was definitely one of the strangest mass crimes I've ever heard of.
Major Domestic Violence involved. The shooter I mean in NS.

I did not see this massacre in the news. That is terrible.

This is one of Canada's deadliest mass killing and school shooting. It is the deadliest school shooting since Montreal École Polytechnique Massacre in 1989.

See up thread #7, NS shooting was worse than polyT.
