I thought in the interview with LG about the fire, when she said a neighbor knocked, that she was gesturing toward her left. Standing on her front porch, isn't TH"s home to THEIR right? Maybe I have the homes mixed up . tia

Standing on her porch TH's house would be to her left, I think..

I wonder if the tire slashing was to gain a little access to Alanna. Something like ' oh what a nice helpful neighbor boy, he's a good kid' and parents let their guard down because he's been so helpful. Not that the parents did, but I wonder if TH thought it might be a 'foot in the door' type maneuver. Also, did I imagine that he had mowed yards for neighbors? Wonder if he mowed theirs.

Tire slashing incident was a while ago. I very much doubt he could think that much in advance. I am also not sure why he'd need to slash tires to get access to the child. From what neighbor's say she was frequently walking in the neighborhood looking for someone to play with.

You could be right. I'm just thought babbling. I was thinking along the ' hero' lines. He slashes tires then helps them out by OH NO your tires are slashed. He starts a fire ( speculative) then OH NO run for your life , your house is burning. Now he looks like a good kid, a helpful neighbor , instead of some cretin everyone knows is a loser. He's upping his image, so to speak.

I'm not positive, going to poke around. That info may not be bring-uppable.

I don't have a link but I do recall that it was said that a neighbor who was coming home from a late shift at work saw the fire, called and then knocked on the Gallagher's door. IMO

On the other hand, I've seen and heard stories of people behave in really bizarre ways when they are internally conflicted. The ex-smoker who turns into the Smoking Gestapo. (Of course they probably really want a cigarette)

I've read some very interesting stories about women who are very vocal in the pro-life movement. For whatever reason they've found themselves having an abortion (or more than one) but they're ranting in the recovery room about how immoral it is.

Maybe he's got all kinds of complicated emotional baggage tied up in sex, and families, and relationships, and he hated and resented them for their unusual situation, he probably especially hated them because it was loving and mutually supportive.

I can see that, depending on his history, he could both resent and hate them, and want to do what he did with the phone and the garden hose, it's potentially all connected actually.
I really have never met any teens that are into the lives of adult neighbors. They do not care about what their home lives are.

Teens are interested in teens. Old people are old people unless there is something really cool about them.

In his case, that would be doing drugs or giving away sex. Otherwise, who cares what adults are doing?

He turned 17 last November

Grrrrrrrrrr

My child went to the same school and often walked with friends to his last employment of Sonic

Double grrrrrr

Mama Bear is very mean grrrrrr

I hear you. It's good to be a Mama Bear. I bet you have good dialogue with your child, too, which will help right now. My heart goes out to the Gallaghers, obviously, but also all of you who are local. Having this kind of evil hit so close to home is really disturbing. I came of age in the midst of the OCCK attacks ... though I was an older teen, and younger ones were being targeted, it was pretty traumatic. And it definitely affected me as a parent. Hopefully any accomplice will be found very soon, and the healing process can begin.

Possible but I don't think he would have been conscious of it. I think he is a hate filled person, and that hate has many sources.

Yes, I doubt he'd be able to put the cause of his anger/hatred into any kind of coherent thoughts or words. Not intelligent enough, for one thing. Just acting out of an animalistic sense of rage. IMO

What about their lifestyle would he find objectionable?

I don't know that he would find it objectionable. Maybe there *is* jealousy involved, but jealousy that he wasn't included in the polyamory. Wonder if he ever tried to suggest that to KG, LG, or MM?

Me too:

I wonder if the Gallagher family pressed charges for the tire slashing? It made me curious when Karl said that was one situation in which he wondered if they could have done something different to prevent Alanna's death. (FWIW, "no," but that's how our brains work as parents when bad things happen to our kids. My daughter was recently diagnosed with a chronic, life threatening illness, and I spent weeks looking up the risk factors, and correlated environmental factors, and genetics; second guessing every related parenting choice I'd made, wondering if I could have stopped it if I'd only……" the answer is, "no." You did the best you could with the resources you had at the time, and your heart was in the right place in making the best possible choices for you daughter. ). But Karl's musing make me wonder, what they decided to do. Press charges or not?

It's becoming clear that IBSleuthin was spot on with her "bravado, bully, macho" assessment. I think slashing their tires, and then knocking on the door to say they were flat was another example of that. That behavior of knocking on the door to tell them about the tires sounds like the bully in the school cafeteria who knocks your lunch tray out of your hands, and then sneers at you and says, "you dropped something."

I've changed my mind. Upon hearing the tire stories, I believe he started the fires too. This attention seeking is also why he texted the girl.

(As an aside, his initials being TH is driving me crazy, after following Kyron Horman for so long TH will forever be Terry Horman to me)

Blessings on you and your daughter. Our 23 year old son was diagnosed in January with stage 4 stomach cancer. I completely understand the "what did I do wrong that caused this" feeling. And you're right--there's nothing.

Took me a while to get to the end.

I believe that TH did have an accomplice, and that accomplice is the one who dumped the body.

Why?

In the BOLO for the 2 black cars that were lingering (Passed by 1st camera and took X amount of hours before being seen by the second camera), neither car was shown to have a passenger. LE would have photos from both surveillance camera, and it could be shown that TH would have been a passenger.

In the photos of LE at TH's house, his grass really was in need of mowing.

These cars might have nothing to do with anything. Especially considering there are two of them. Why would he need two cars to dispose of the body? Why would accomplice dump the body on the street? It's very stupid. If the goal was to get rid of the body, dumping it somewhere in place that takes a while to find is the best way to avoid attention.

Plus he was trying to organize a neighborhood watch! Can you imagine all the doors he would be knocking on in the middle of the night for the crimes he committed?
Plus being a neighborhood watchman would give him an excuse for being outside peeping around in the middle of the night. Creepy!

I have a feeling that there was only one accomplice. That accomplice would be in one of those 2 cars.

I am sorry that my post made you believe that I thought there were 2 accomplices.

Just a thought from last night when I couldn't sleep..I'm local and this is way too close to home.

In the beautiful video on WFAA where Alanna is singing Soft Kitty, the reporter said it was a neighbors cell phone video of her. She was sitting on a trampoline.

Did I see a trampoline in TH's back yard in a picture someone posted yesterday?

Really hoping that was someone else's yard...

yep, I agree, accomplice in one of those cars and no passenger, so likely he dumped the body without TH.

Which car? Why are there two cars? If one car isn't related, what makes anybody think the other is? How can anyone see there is no passenger?
