Ok , bear with me, this my not come out right but I am trying ;-)

I think people (even some on this thread) are trying to find a reason for why this happened. A "justification": 'He was being bullied by Austin, he finally retaliated'. 'He was just sitting there to get out of the rain, then he was attacked by both twin brothers.' This was racist, a hate crime'.

All false narratives as far as we know, right?
But i think people just try to find the "why". Because it makes them feel safer. It makes them worry less about their kids' safety. I mean, if this was provoked and self defense, then it cannot happen to me, am I right? If it was self defense, it will not happen to MY kid, surely?

They bypass the fact that the killer brought a KNIFE to school, then onto the school bus, into the school event. All three locations where there should never be a weapon, and kids should be safe. Them trying to find a reason, is them trying to find a reason why this would NOT happen to them or their loved ones.

And then of course you have the opportunistic people who see they can rile up unrest, promote a false narrative to benefit their own goals and beliefs, their own agenda, and those wanting to get fame and make a quick buck on this situation (spokespersons, press conference, those people..) and try to make this into what it is not for their own benefit. I do not even think those people have KA's best interest at heart, to be honest.

You often sees this conflict if you live in the surburbs/outskirts of a city. Drug crimes, violence-domestic, gang or misdirected young people, doesn’t touch you until it does . . .

the Anthony family didn't want Metcalf there. At their well publicized public presser. Jeff was there to represent his son. The dead son who their child is accused of murdering. But their presser wasn't about the murder. It was about them. What THEY've been through. How THEY've been adversely affected. They didn't want Austin represented because it wasn't about him. He was distraction from what they, through their publicist, the minister of justice, were selling, which was them, as victims.

I am so tired of people (no matter what race they happen to be) turning their wrong actions into victimization. Yes, both the Metcalf and the Anthony families are victims, however, the Anthony family still has their son walking the earth, the Metcalf family does NOT. The Anthony's son decided to kill Austin Metcalf because he (the Anthony's son) was under the wrong tent, and they had a confrontation. Exactly, how do you equal out the fact that the Metcalf family's son is dead, and although the Anthony family is going to have a sense of loss, they can still see their son, even if he is in prison. In the Anthony family's reasoning, alive, although in prison, equals forever dead. No, it doesn't. Dead is dead, and Austin is dead; he will never be able to be with his family again on this earth. Still, Karmelo is alive, and his family will be able to see him, although hopefully after a fair trial, he will be in prison, where IMO, he belongs. I am sorry that doesn't work out for me.

I am sorry, but this "VICTIMIZATION" of the perpetrator of the crime needs to stop. I don't believe that the level of harassment they are claiming is real. I disagee that Karmelo should have been moved to a secret location; someone will leak it to social media, and the whole world will know that location. Are they going to keep moving him from location to location? Think of all the resources the court system is using. Not to mention, someone will pay for the "security" guarding Karmelo.

All of the victimization of any perpetrator of such a crime makes me sick.

Why he is getting special treatment? Protective custody in jail is the best place for him to be. Is there a precedent for paying for security for someone out on bail for murder?

I assume that he is getting private security and that the court only had to approve a change of living location while out on bail, not other conditions of his bail which stay the same. JMO.

No idea. I've never seen anything like this. Priors or no priors, its a complete and utter travesty that he is out walking around imo. Also, they can't put lipstick on a pig. Dressing him up/styling him after he murdered AM ~ like the meek and mild Steve Urkel from Family Matters (flashy bow tie and all) and getting a new hairdo, doesn't make him any less a killer (THAT BELONGS IN JAIL WHILE HE AWAITS TRIAL) ~ than he was before. I still say, stop all the cacophony, revoke bail, and keep him 'safe' in jail until his trial. Let him be a "protected' celebrity in there. js/moo

Austin Metcalf's family was targeted by another "swatting" call on Monday.

This is at least the third time Frisco police have received a false report of a shooting at the homes of Metcalf's parents.

Earlier this week, stabbing suspect Karmelo Anthony was moved to an undisclosed location because his family claims they also received threats.

Good, this is exactly what should happen. Now... can we say the same thing about the folks that have swatted the Metcalf family THREE times since their son was murdered? Is there any investigation into those malicious acts? Will those perps be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law?

I have yet to see/read, however, any LE's active investigations into the claims about the 'death threats' KA has been receiving, nor proof the local police are looking into any "threats" which saw him have to be relocated for his "safety"... js jmo and all that jazz.

so far all the articles I've read state the claims of threats towards the Anthony family have come from their minister of justice/PR person. Suggests to me that maybe they haven't necessarily been reported to LE. During his presser he held up some photos he claimed were threatening in nature. But I've nevr seen him holding up a police report - so - maybe they haven't been reported?

I would assume if they were swatted, that would also be investigated. Obviously LE know about the multiple Metcalf swattings because they were directly involved in the incidents, whether the Metcalf family "reported" it or not.

I am awaiting the police reports about the threats against the perpetrator. Waiting with baited breath, I tell you! LOL
