ita and that couldn't BE more perfect imo.I think this GJ who saw the evidence and videos, and returned a true bill for 1st-degree murder, is telling the public this is not a case of self-defense, period.
To be clear, the GJ did not indict KA for 2nd-degree murder.
Finally!Karmelo Anthony, the now 18-year-old accused of fatally stabbing another teen during an altercation at a Frisco ISD track meet in early April, was indicted for murder by a Collin County grand jury on Tuesday.

Karmelo Anthony indicted for murder in stabbing death of Austin Metcalf at Frisco ISD track meet

I hope cameras are not allowed in the courtroom, but if they are, I anticipate watching Karmelo taking the stand in his own defense, and not saying ANYTHING true beyond his own name."Today’s indictment of Karmelo Anthony is an expected and routine step in the legal process," Defense Attorney Mike Howard said. "An indictment simply means that a grand jury, after hearing only the prosecution's side of the story, determined that there was enough evidence to allow the case to move forward to court. That's all an indictment means. Karmelo and his family are confident in the justice system and the people of Collin County to be fair and impartial. Of course, Karmelo looks forward to his day in court."

Finding a jury is going to be challenging, to say the least.I only hope everyone on the jury feels the same way.
I have to wonder how he'd do so successfully AT ALL, given the solid video evidence and witness statements (from what I've read so far). mooI hope cameras are not allowed in the courtroom, but if they are, I anticipate watching Karmelo taking the stand in his own defense, and not saying ANYTHING true beyond his own name.
I am hoping that "Don't Mess With Texas" sentiment will apply in this case and that it doesn't get dragged out in the WONG direction after this GJ correct decision. I feel that during trial we will discover that this was a total hate crime, of the opposite kind ~ than is being sold to the public by the murder's camp. JMOLet Karmelo string out his "victimhood". I have no doubt this will be a very long journey. With hearings, on and on...and his attorneys have plenty of cash to waste time. I will predict a trial around 3 or 4 years from now.
Ridiculous how long the court system goes so slowly.
But … we haven’t heard “the full story”. I have seen this same exact statement from at least five different people associated with Karmelo Anthony.I think this GJ who saw the evidence and videos, and returned a true bill for 1st-degree murder, is telling the public this is not a case of self-defense, period.

Full story is being "detailed" as case progresses? But … we haven’t heard “the full story”. I have seen this same exact statement from at least five different people associated with Karmelo Anthony.
Really looking forward to hearing these details which his defense and others think will clear him of a murder charge. Can’t help but wonder though, why they didn’t share these details with investigators when he was arrested, making a trial unnecessary to begin with?
Color me confused.
IMO, The family is not helping themselves, especially their son, by continuing to be associated with this ‘advocacy’ group. The group seems like a bunch of grifters, just using AM’s death to further their own agenda. Truth doesn’t matter to them, only the money and recognition. I believe KA murdered AM, and I pray for justice in this case.the bit from their PR dude I ETA only made it so much more cringy
That picture of AM brings tears to my eyes. He looks like he’s having the time of his life, playing a sport he loved.
