It makes no sense to me that LL would be involved. If she were, why would she be trying so hard to find him? Financial gain? She didn't set up any of the donation accounts from what I can tell. If she were involved in some type of plot for him to run from the warrant or covering up for anyone with regard to anything illegal SURELY she would not be willing to go to prison herself and leave these children parentless. If B went into hiding and she was in on it I just can't see her making such a fuss publicly. She would want everyone to forget about him/them.

But my main question is still why did she release the 911 tape? Did she do it on her own or at the urging of her PI? Was it to publicly "force" LE to do more to try to find B? If so, IMO it's not such a bad idea. But if I hear one word about a lawsuit I will change my opinion.

I don't rule out that maybe LL does not even know the whole story.

Keep in mind the 911 tape was released after the State Trooper was arrested. I remember seeing a post on her page where she apologizes for releasing it.

Also, There are people telling her due to the fake pages and all the harassment to she and her children, (fake pages posting pictures of her kids) that she shouldn't post the pictures publicly. Personally, I get the impression she is in hopes if Brandon is alive, he will see his kids and have a heavy heart.

Interesting theory. Just not sure I buy the witness protection without wife/kids? Do they do that? Do we know of other missing people that were in witness protection due to a case?

I do know of a case. An acquaintance of ours daughter was living with a known drug lord. She turned states witness. Or however it is said. She refused to go into hiding because she had two small children and they weren't included, because they lived with her mom or that is what I was told. She was found dead in Galveston, Texas with cinder blocks tied to her ankles. (Krystal Thompson). Rumor is that her BF in prison put a hit on her and so far no one has been arrested because there isn't enough evidence and no probable cause. She was very young and a meth user.

I felt that she released it to get more media exposure and put pressure on LE. Brandon's thread on here had like 2 pages before the 911 call..now we're on the 2nd thread...so if that was her strategy, she at least got our attention!

Yes and like I said, if that's the reason than honestly I can't say that I blame her. If she's frustrated because LE seems to have given up or won't give the SAR group the permission needed for a search then her hands are pretty tied. Public pressure could be the only option and I just read a new helicopter search yesterday and LE is helping a lot more.

The one in OK? That seems to be too far away for a link I think although not impossible.

Wow! These drug lords are nothing to mess with and some scary stuff.

I am pretty sure KL commented to a friend that he and Brandon had been at the job for about 9 months. I wouldn't think in 9 months it would be more than about $2000. I do know you can borrow against a 401k and pay it back with a couple of years. My brother just did this last week and he does live in Texas.

This information would be on KL's page. In the post about or on August 15, 2013. I believe in that same post one of KL's FB friend comments that he heard what happened to BL and the friend say if BL needs somewhere to stay he can head up his way or something like that. KL comments back dude he is missing it's all over the news. (Again, a very odd statement, what did this friend hear that lead him to believe BL was on the run or needed a place to stay?

Believe me, I have read every single comment on every single post and the more and more I read, I get the impression KL knows where BL is whether he is dead or alive.

I saw that comment! K got so mad, and I think told the guy he wasn't his friend. Very strange.

I do taxes too. (Used to be a certified tax preparer) It would be illegal for her to claim head of household. People do it all the time but the law states

Head of Household

You may be able to file as head of household if you meet all the following requirements.

You are unmarried or considered unmarried on the last day of the year. See Marital Status , earlier, and Considered Unmarried , later.

You paid more than half the cost of keeping up a home for the year.

A qualifying person lived with you in the home for more than half the year (except for temporary absences, such as school). However, if the qualifying person is your dependent parent, he or she does not have to live with you. See Special rule for parent , later, under Qualifying Person.

[Considered married. You are considered married for the whole year if, on the last day of your tax year, you and your spouse meet any one of the following tests.
You are married and living together.

You are living together in a common law marriage recognized in the state where you now live or in the state where the common law marriage began.

You are married and living apart but not legally separated under a decree of divorce or separate maintenance.

You are separated under an interlocutory (not final) decree of divorce.
]

If she did file head of household she would never be able to claim common law marriage. And yes common law marriage laws are different in different states.

But it doesn't stop people from doing or trying it. Years ago here, there was a tax service that got busted for doing illegal filings. It was a huge mess.

Agreed, but what I'm saying is IF she did file head of household in any of the last few years there's no chance in hell of her then proving she's his common law wife now.

And I'd say chances are good that she did file as SINGLE/HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD because people cheat on their taxes all the time with this. And yes they do it, but it is tax fraud and infuriates me. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point she claimed single and got public assistance also. You can't do that then go to the courts (who would ask for tax statements etc) and say we were common law married. It specifically says common law married cannot claim head of household.

Excellent point, I have thought about her maybe doing that.

I get really ticked too. My grandson when he was a toddler, someone at the tax place my daughter went to sold his SSN. We found out the following year when she tried to file her taxes. They caught the person who did it, but they refused to tell us who it was. My daughter was told it didn't concern us. I was so mad. I have done her taxes ever since. Tax fraud infuriates me too.

Why is it so hard for a truthful timeline to be done? I tried going through the two pages on FB and to be honest, it just seems like a bunch of bickering. I know there is a lot of people that lurk from there on here. Many seem to think its wrong for us to speculate, theorize, discuss, they fail to understand that we are trying to help and that this can and has worked before. But good grief how about some truth and answering questions? Finding Brandon is the goal, the priority. Nothing else is.

FB is going to be the end of the world, not the zombie apocalyse. ;)

Sorry for the rant, it is just so frustrating trying to find out what happened to this young man. I do not care if he is/was a felon or a drug user, but knowing the facts and background is what helps go a long way in solving the case and finding him.

Just my 2cents.

It depends how much of a nightmare he was really, we don't know what he was like to live with, could have been a total douche. He looks a nice, loving guy but nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors. Who knows?

It's not the donation sites though, it's his bank account, his insurance if he had any etc. No remains she doesn't have a cat's chance in Hell of accessing it, with a body she has a good shot, he's the father of her children.

I didn't know AK and LL are not FB pals, that's pretty interesting.

This eerily similar incident happened recently http://m.news9.com/story.aspx?story=24961117&catId=112032.

The other strange thing is that to get to Bessie, OK from Bronte, TX it's a straight shot up HWY 277 which is the same Road that BL ran out of gas. I know it's about 6 hours away but I think it's still worth noting.

Possible gang initiation? Drug cartels? Mistaken identity?

I do see what you're saying. B was 26 and had only been at his job something like 13 months. The 401k cannot be much money. I highly doubt he had tons of money in his bank account. Perhaps a small life insurance policy at work-usually one years salary is standard.

As I pointed out above EVEN IF a body is found LL might have a hard time proving common law marriage. If that is the purpose it might be futile.

I have yet to make any determination about intentions at this point, on her part. It could be that she just wants to find her partner of 10 years/father of her children and give him a proper burial and have some closure.

The only thing I am convinced of is that there are untruths about the events of that night by all involved.

Why would K tell LL at 4:30am that they were going to tow the truck, then he goes and gets gas at 7am to put in the truck? It really didn't need gas to be towed. Did LE check to see if that gas was ever put in the truck?
