Interesting that a DuckDuckGo.com search for Brenda's name pulled up a review "she" left for PCS Bail Bonds. It's dated Apr 22, 2020 which is after the date she was last seen. I found her GoogleMaps profile she used to make 11 reviews. The 15 photos from May 2019 are interesting, especially the Tin Cup Drive one titled " Lying cheating abusive mean jerk". MOO

ETA - The "Associates" listed on this profile are interesting. One has a current address in CA while the other shown lives at the Tin Cup Drive address. MOO

We can all guess what happened, but the lack of LE follow up is appalling.

What happened in your opinion?
I can’t really give my opinion due to TOS. But, essentially, I believe someone close to her killed her.

<snipped by me>

And there's also another review under her there for another bail bond company "Just Bail Bonds" in Arlington TX. Wonder why she's familiar with bail bond companies? So far the only court cases I see are small ones from 2011-2012/2013.

SMH when I read this part:
"After her disappearance, her heavy-duty equipment, tools, company vehicles and backup computer hard drivers were stolen from the business."
Surely LE could have at least come up with those stolen company vehicles by now?

The comments by her sister on 4/13 in the FB group posted above (about the live in BF named "X*****" - apparently not the same person as the daughter's father) who was with her at the shop that day made me think hmmm too:

Still missing by the looks of it, saw her name mentioned in a September article about missing women but nothing new.

I’m new to Websleuths so hopefully I’m posting this message correctly.

Recently I read about Brenda L. Matissen’s disappearance on the Charley Project and NamUs websites. I have no connection to the case but I find it interesting and thought I’d make this my first post.

As I understand it, Brenda Matissen has been missing since 4/8/2020. She was last seen at her business, Alltex Coring and Sawing LLC, in Arlinton, TX, by one of her employees. She has not been seen or heard from since.

Most of the websites I’ve read listed the same general information about her disappearance, but a couple of things seem odd about this case. Hopefully others on this site might be able to provide some clarification or additional details.

Per the case listing on charleyproject.org “after her disappearance, her heavy-duty equipment, tools, company vehicles and backup computer hard drivers were stolen from the business”. Also, the hard drives and backup system for her home security system were “found pulled out of the wall, and a large, heavy-duty safe was missing from her home”.

Brenda L. Matissen – The Charley Project

From this description I’m curious how and why these items were stolen from her home and business. It seems odd that a missing person case would also involve her company and her residential assets.

I’m not a concrete or construction expert, but it seems logical that Matissen’s heavy-duty concrete equipment and her company vehicles would be somewhat easy to find by local law enforcement. It also would take significant time and effort to remove all of these things from both her home and business after her disappearance.

Does anyone have more details about this case or know if any of these items have been located?

Thanks.

IMO the local LE should look closer at Brenda's ex. who conveniently moved into HER house after she disappeared.

Thanks for the reply and feedback bykerladi.

Brenda Matissen’s case is both interesting and complex, not only because of the large amount of her business and personal assets stolen around the time of her disappearance but also because of the people frequently mentioned. I won’t use their names here to avoid any TOS issues but I’ll refer to them as:

Person A: Biological father of Matisson’s daughter
Person B: Mentioned as Matisson’s live-in boyfriend

The Charley Project case history mentions this about Person A: “In October 2020, the father of Matissen's daughter moved into her former home.” I’m assuming this means Person A was, or is currently, living in Matissen’s home on Tin Cup Drive in Arlington, TX.

Charley Project

On the Facebook group discussing Matissen’s disappearance, Matissen’s sister indicated that Matissen and Person A were never married. However, since they had a daughter together it seems logical to assume they interacted at least occasionally.

Facebook Group

The Allbiz website has this information about Matissen’s company:

“Alltex Coring & Sawing is located in Arlington, Texas, and was founded in 1999. At this location, Alltex Coring & Sawing employs approximately 43 people. This business is working in the following industry: Other construction. Annual sales for Alltex Coring & Sawing are around USD 2,945,036.00.”

Person A is listed as an “additional contact” for Alltex Coring & Sawing on this website, so apparently there was a business connection between Matissen and Person A as well as a personal connection.

Alltex company info on Allbiz

Regarding Person B, several people on both the Facebook group and in this thread have mentioned him in connection to Matissen’s disappearance. I noticed Matissen’s GoogleMaps profile, which YaYa_521 mentioned earlier in this thread. I was also interested to see the photo Matissen posted in 2019 of a man with the caption “Lying cheating abusive mean jerk” along with the address of her residence on Tin Cup Drive in Arlington.

Matissen's GoogleMaps profile

I’m assuming Arlington LE interviewed both of these persons regarding Matissen’s disappearance, as well as Matissen’s family, friends, her Alltex employees, etc. but I’ve seen nothing online about this. Since this is an ongoing investigation it’s not surprising that LE hasn’t released many details.

To help clarify this case it would also be interesting to know the current status of Alltex Coring & Sawing LLC since Person A (see my earlier post) is listed as a business contact there as well as Brenda Matissen.

Does anyone know if Alltex Coring & Sawing in Arlington is still in business as of 2022, or is it now defunct?

If it’s still an active business, a couple of interesting questions could be asked:

1. Who has been running the daily operations at Alltex since Matissen disappeared?

2. If all of Matissen’s heavy-duty equipment, tools, and company vehicles were stolen at the time of her disappearance, did the company replace these or were the stolen vehicles and equipment located by local LE and returned to the business?

At this time the official Alltex website seems to be offline, but the Alltex Facebook page is still available. The last posting on their Facebook page was December 25, 2019.

Thanks.

Have there been any recent updates on this case in the local media or from LE in Arlington, TX?

I'm assuming if the vehicles, etc. weren't located and returned to the business that the business could collect the insurance money.
How was business handled after her disappearance until the business officially closed?
I'm assuming Brenda Mattisen had a lawyer she used for her business, were they involved at all after she disappeared?

This is a good point, and I've wondered the same thing. Is Matissen's Alltex business in Arlington still operating or was it closed down at some point and insurance claims filed for her missing/stolen vehicles, tools, etc? If so, who filed the insurance claims?

I haven't read anything about Matissen having a lawyer for her business, but it would be logical to assume she would want/need to have legal representation. You would expect that Arlington LE interviewed lawyers representing Alltex and/or Matissen personally. I've seen nothing about that in the case summaries but it would be interesting to know.

I still find it strange that her home security equipment as well as nearly all of her business vehicles and equipment, were stolen when Matissen went missing. IMO, from what I've read so far this doesn't seem like a typical missing person case.

As with many other missing person cases there are significant gaps in public knowledge here.

There is a FB page "Where is Brenda Matissen" Where Is Brenda Matissen

Someone posting as her sister stated Alltex has not done any business since 13 April 202o. Five days after she went missing. Texas state corporate commission does not allow free searches of the state database like VA, CA, NV or a few others so I couldn't check to see if it was still registered.

Thanks for this information about Alltex. If this information is correct, then the company may be defunct and no one has been running the business since Matissen disappeared. This would make sense since she was the owner. The company website is no longer operational, so that may be an indicator right there. At least one website listed the father of Matissen's daughter as a business contact at Alltex, so I wasn't sure how, or if, that came into play in this situation. That would be a question for Matissen's family or lawyers to answer I suppose.

While looking into this a while back I found a Google Maps satellite image (photo date unknown) of the Alltex business property on Spring Miller Ct. in Arlington and saw at least six or eight of the white Alltex company vehicles parked there. It makes sense that Matissen's company would need these heavy-duty vehicles for concrete and construction work but I still don't understand how most (possibly all?) of these specialized vehicles could have been stolen after Matissen's disappearance and not recovered by local LE. I believe Matissen's personal vehicle was reported stolen shortly after her disappearance, but it doesn't make sense that many/all of her company vehicles and heavy equipment would be missing as well.
