TX - Caesar & Adriana Coronado, 14, murdered, Katy, 12 March 2016

Directly across the road from where he is seen walking down the alley, there is an IHOP restaurant. I was wondering what it was off in the distance that looked so bright, I guess that's it. At first I thought it was a gas station. That may also be where this hint about a dark SUV came into play. It's possible an SUV pulled over on the side of the road and picked him up right there at the end of the U-Haul parking lot. Due to the distance and the darkness however, they couldn't get a good make on it.

I'll bet LE picked him up on a third camera at the IHOP. For some reason, they aren't releasing that video.

Excellent question steelman. I agree. Why there indeed? It is a location in at least one perp's circle of awareness. He knows that location. He knows it is deserted, quiet, out of the way.

Yes interesting as to the location. Many times when we hear of a burned out vehicle it's some dark, secluded, country road type of location. This location is secluded but really anyone could have happened by for their own reasons. Why not pick a spot where you are sure no video would turn up?

An industrial/business area with a lot of big name companies. You must know there is a lot of CCTV cameras, you can see some of them easily. So if the perp knew the area he knew there were cameras IMO. Yet the fathers body was left it the middle of nowhere? Why not torch the truck in the middle of nowhere? Baffling

Agree. And not only did they shoot Father (stated but not verified by ME) but took the time to burn him in a much more secluded area. I can understand more seclusion for a gunshot but why not leave the truck there as you point out. It appears another vehicle was arranged to pick this guy up so why not at the murder scene? Such a mystery. Poor Adriana.

Wondering why the truck was burned at all? Her father was already dead. It was risky to burn the car at all. Was there something, besides even evidence, in the truck? Drugs?

The Walker County Sheriff's press conference or part of it. Partway through the sheriff notes that the footage shown is NOT all of the footage they have. There is more that is being processed.

My biggest question is why does a 14 year old girl have to be caught up in this???? If Dad was the only victim in this there are plenty of ways to have lured Dad out and did what they did????

So you know when your foot hurts or you haven't ties your shoes and are flopping /running/walking, or you are wearing the wrong size of shoes? That is how this guy runs/walks. Almost like he's trying to keep his shoes on.
I'm hoping there release more info/video.

Has anyone here closely followed a ransom case? Would we know if a ransom is involved at this point? I would think LE wouldn't say anything about it until afterwards, but I really have no idea.

Poor Adriana.
Pretty brazen , as if to make a point. A lot of rage in her dad's murder, as well.
Hope she is found soon !

The map is what's confusing me. They lived in Katy, Tex. The Father was found between Madisonville and Huntsville. The truck was found in Conroe.

This means the truck was driven through the Houston metro area heading north. 70 miles north of Houston, an event takes place and Coronado is gunned down and burned. The truck is then driven 45 miles south back towards Houston again, and parked and burned in Conroe.

My question: Were Coronado and his daughter intercepted and ambushed along the stretch of highway north of Houston.......or..........was the murderer a passenger in the truck they were driving ?
