Who discovered and reported her fathers body?

Wasn't the truck discovered first? I think the investigation began at that point, and then they later determined her father was murdered. It wasn't until that point that they realized Adriana was missing.

As for who discovered/reported it, I don't think LE has released that information.

The map is what's confusing me. They lived in Katy, Tex. The Father was found between Madisonville and Huntsville. The truck was found in Conroe.

This means the truck was driven through the Houston metro area heading north. 70 miles north of Houston, an event takes place and Coronado is gunned down and burned. The truck is then driven 45 miles south back towards Houston again, and parked and burned in Conroe.

My question: Were Coronado and his daughter intercepted and ambushed along the stretch of highway north of Houston.......or..........was the murderer a passenger in the truck they were driving ?

Or did they drive north to meet the murderer? Why idk

I can't get my head around it. LE found the body and the truck pretty fast too. Considering they were so far apart. I don't understand why the truck was dumped and burned in such a public place, and the body at the side of a road? Not hidden? Not buried? Idk if that's brazen or foolish. Is this some twisted game?

Can someone square the time frame for me? Missing at 1 am on the 12th, car exploded on the 13th around 10:25 pm?

Yeah. That.

Remember earlier today when I got confused about how he started the fire so quickly and then found out that the video had been edited for time ? Then it seemed to make even less sense because that meant the guy sat in the truck for almost 6 minutes before lighting it up and running off.

Know why he was sitting in the truck for 6 minutes ? He was calling someone to come pick him up. By the time he walked over to the main highway in front of the U-Haul, an SUV arrived to pick him up.

This guy lives right there. He's some kind of an associate of the father. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Coronado and his daughter picked him up on the way through Houston heading north earlier on Sunday.

I suggest LE do a little checking into criminals around there that are prone to arson and setting fires to cover up their crimes.
The guy you see on video there........this ain't his first rodeo. He burns and torches things as if it was a bodily function. I imagine he's been doing that kind of thing for a long long time. I'll also bet he's got a rap sheet as long as your arm.

This almost reminds me of one of those bizarre Craigslist deals that were nothing more than a setup for robbery.........but I'm not sure why I think that. It has something to do with all of the traveling that day.

Has anyone here closely followed a ransom case? Would we know if a ransom is involved at this point? I would think LE wouldn't say anything about it until afterwards, but I really have no idea.

I've wondered that too because I thought it was weird how he worded his answer to the ransom question... he said something like we have talked to the family and everyone has DENIED receiving a request for ransom.

I hope they have a video of the suspect buying the gas. How much gas do you need to burn a car??

If this guy acted alone, that means Adriana is dead.......and probably met a fate similar to her father. We're all familiar with Mr. Pyro's method of operation now. This may end up being no more elaborate than a sexual attack on a teenaged girl by a psychopath.

I thought the body was found burned and then the truck.

5 gallons of gas could easily burn up a couple of cars...and a couple of people too, as long as you used it sparingly.

Per GraceWhiteKHOU on Twitter:

UPDATE: Investigators are meeting now with the family of #missing 14-yr-old Adriana Coronado #KHOU11 #AmberAlert https://t.co/dtqMH1rAK3

I wonder what this could mean? They've found her? Or they're questioning the family about their knowledge of a potential link/lead?

ETA: Her next tweet mentions that AC is an only child and her dad is a carpenter. That information was known days ago. I wish she wouldn't post old information as if it is new or as if it is related to her previous tweet (about the current meeting with her family). It's misleading.

I think the truck was taken because that was the perps only means of transportation. That's the only thing that makes sense to me. Why else take the truck and drive it so far? He drives it to the dump spot where someone is waiting for him or he calls them from the scene. Could explain the 6 min he sits in the truck-waiting for his ride. I think there is a high probability the perp was in the truck with Adriana and her father, killed the father and took off with the truck. Of course that leaves the question- where is Adriana? Did he take her to another location? If I understand correctly there is a big time gap between the father's death and the truck being torched.

The person the pyro phoned may have been waiting for his arrival/phone call at the IHOP.
