HUGE FAVOR FOR ONE OF GREAT MAP MAKING MEMBERS.

Can we get a map of the various locations?

I can do it if needed but I can't get on my PC for a couple hours.

Oh please let someone be able to identify this guy and bring her back safely.

I can't believe how fast this guy went from pulling up and parking, to setting the truck on fire-----4 to 5 seconds tops.

I'm not even sure what kind of a setup you would need in order to ignite it that fast. Even a molotov cocktail would take about 10-15 seconds to light and throw. I guess it's possible it could have been some kind of incendiary bomb. It was quick though.....really quick.

I take it LE must have video from elsewhere that shows the dark SUV leaving that area. They may not know for sure if he was in it or not.

I'm really starting to believe this may be related to the Cartel. I thought that sounded so conspiratorial and farfetched, at first. But after doing some research on Google, I've learned that every major Mexican Cartel group (that is still active) currently has a cell operating out of the Houston area. So, maybe it's not so farfetched? :scared:
This is terrifying.

UM YA! Exactly where this case has taken me as well. Wow, just horrible and wow. Can you tell I'm speechless?

If this is Cartel related why bother even taking Adriana when they could've just dumped her with her father? You figure if they wanted to get the job done they'd do so with as little risk/hassle as possible.

OR, if this is directed as punishment towards someone else, then it makes total sense to take the father and daughter. JMO

I get the impression that truck was already rigged up and ready to burn long before he parked it there. What does that mean ? It means the truck was taken somewhere like a garage or workshop and wired to ignite a flammable liquid electronically. Even an incendiary bomb needs a flammable component in order to make it work effectively. It would take a lot of time to rig all of that up.

When the driver exited the vehicle, all he had to do was push a button and KaBoooom, instant flash fire. That's exactly what you see happen in that 3 to 4 second lull between the brake lights dimming down and the flash of the fire. It may have been set off through a remote control, or the alarm button on the key ring. It wasn't done the old fashion way, with a match and a fluid soaked rag. There wasn't enough time elapsed to light it manually, and by time the main flash is seen, this guy was already running.

This isn't one of their neighbors behind this. This isn't a lovestruck teenager behind this. This isn't a spurned lover behind this.
The guys behind this are technically proficient and coordinated. All bad news for both Adriana and law enforcement.

That's still better video than I have seen in some cases. I'm wondering if some work can be done to enhance it even more. I know the Secret Service and NASA have done that before. I wouldn't be surprised that with the video AND the dark SUV the tips have already started coming in. We may not be able to tell much from the video, but if he resides in the Houston or Conroe area SOMEONE will see this and have a good idea of who it might be. If they are from Mexico and returned there afterwards then that is a different thing altogether.

Evidently, he was picked up by the SUV off camera so I can imagine Adriana might still be alive off camera.

Agree. The cartel sends a message to those alive that owe. Dad is dead. So who would here the message. They would have made dad watch the abduction and torture if anything. Then dad and daughter would have been dumped together. Jmo. So either the girl will be released or she is in a bad place.

But I don't think she is deceased at the moment. Jmo

I surmised a couple of pages back that Adriana may have been taken in order to pay a debt. If that's the case, then it's possible she's still alive. I too wondered out loud, "Why cart a teenager around with you, a hysterical teenager at that, when she could have been capped and left lying right there in the ditch next to her Daddy ?"

Answer: Dad owed a debt, and it was time to pay up.

I think the more we find out about her Dad's prior criminal activities, the more we're going to start getting a really foul taste in our mouths.

One more thing to point out. It was said in the media that their family had moved to Texas just a couple of years ago. Did that move across the border have something to do with a problem down in Mexico ?

Yeah, one of my theories was this was some teenager with a crush on Adriana. This video just blew that away. I don't know if I would say they were pros, but they've definitely done things like this before. This guy seemed confident in his movement and actions. And he had help if he was picked up by someone else.

Steelman,
How long would rigging something like you describe take? I ask because of the timeframe given to estimate when the abduction occurred and when the truck is set afire?
TIA

BBM that is what is puzzling me. How do they know about the dark colored SUV? It is not seen in the video footage that has been released to the public. So do they have additional video they haven't released? Or an eyewitness who sees our unidentified POI in the area just beyond the video range getting into a vehicle of that description?

hmmmm

In the first video on post #45, the sheriff stated that Adriana was talking to someone at her dad's murder scene. I still wonder how they came to that conclusion.

  • #237
A gang may take her for whatever. But the Cartels really don't care and would have left her dead right there. Jmo. So this could have been a dealer and a few buddies and not The Cartel. Jmo. It's a difference.

I thought about that. Since no video is shown could it be an eyewitness? Per the time stamp on both video's it is 10:27 PM on Sunday night, so they didn't do this in the early morning hours. Could be a witness saw him. Unless it was too far away, a possibility of a sketch?

Well mom must be a bonified U.S citizen. Because she doesn't speak English but felt safe enough to travel back and forth across the border for her procedure.

Btw. This isn't about immigration. So let's not go there. I was just simply observing that mom had to travel for surgery while dad and daughter stayed behind.
