So I guess it is that easy to just kill your girlfriend and baby when they are no longer convenient for you. Really sad and disturbing. I hope he rots in jail and Candice is found and laid to rest in peace.

Yes!!! I'm so thankful they finally got this guy! Slow and steady wins the race.

God bless Candace's family.

Oh my word! They finally got him??? I can now say it, I knew this 🤬🤬🤬 did it! We all did. I am so proud of the police department, they were working on it behind the scenes. It felt as if nothing was happening, that she had been forgotten. I was so wanting this case to be solved. I would check his FB page and he made me so sick. Shame on him! Now, lets just hope that the trial goes well. This has made my night.

I am so glad to see some progress in this case. This proves that just because LE may not update the public in some cases, doesn't mean they aren't out there working to solve it. They are ALWAYS working behind the scenes, whether we see it or not.
I hope this creep is put away for a very long time. He not only took Candice's life but the life of her unborn child. God bless her family and give them peace.

Poor girl. She was probably making big plans and thought she had caught
herself a prince charming. :(

If he is guilty, and I think we suspect that this will be the case, then I am glad that he will be brought to justice. But so sad that this will not bring Candice back to her family or her son, and that his current girlfriend - who I believe is pregnant - will now bring up that child by herself, with the knowledge that the father is a killer.

No more word on the remains found?

So glad to see the beginning of justice for Candice. I hope she can be returned to her family soon.

So if her remains have not been found, then what evidence did they have to charge him with? Just curious, because I believe he did it, but did they get a confession? Or what did they find that convinced them she was murdered?
Just saying, because Texas usually has to have some hard evidence before they charge someone for murder, without a body.

I wonder the same unless he told someone and they went to LE? But still I would think they would need more than that for an arrest and charge of murder.

I think you are both absolutely right. We know that she received a text just before she left the house during those early hours, not to return. I am sure that police know who sent that text and I am pretty sure that it is JT. While there is speculation that JT's ex (who had threatened Candice) was involved, I couldn't see anyone else other than JT being able to coax her out of the house at that time of night. And police clearly have worked on getting evidence that JT travelled from Sweetwater to Graham that night. That's not to say that no-one else was involved and we know that Candice has not been seen since. But that is not enough for an arrest and a charge of murder and they wil have had to have had more than circumstancial evidence. They clearly have something more.

Wow! This has been a long time coming! He never acted right for someone whose pregnant gf was missing. Glad her family will finally have some closure.

Thank you, Ocalasunrise. I'm not doubting that they are pretty certain he is involved, I'm just curious. Normally, most DA's hesitate to charge someone for murder unless they have some pretty solid proof that the victim was murdered. No body, no crime scene... kind of makes you wonder what they do know, doesn't it?
Is it possible that the girlfriend rolled over on him? Maybe she was there but didn't participate in the crime, and they could have offered her immunity just to tell them what they needed to know.
I do hope they find her body, though... her poor family needs some peace.
I can only imagine how hard it is to never know where your loved one is and not to be able to lay them to rest.

I'd speculate that setting a bond $750,000 suggests that they know quite a lot.

Hoping the silence is a good thing. Prayers for Candice's family during this difficult time! May they find Candice and bring her and her little one home to her family!

Why would LE not comment about whether or not a body had been found?
