Respectfully, allowing the defense to question him could have helped the defense place more reasonable doubt out there than they've already done. He's not a good witness regardless. And unfortunately his testimony isn't going to bring her back or help find her.

Good point on the defense asking him things but I would imagine they know everything anyway and whatever is said about him would be nothing they didn't know and only embarrassing to him or his family.

While we wait, just an observation: This is the second case I've followed where LE allowed a parent to drive home a car that belonged to a missing young woman; Heather Elvis is the other. What's up with that?

Sadly there are several paralells between Heather and Christina, I hope we don't end up with a hung jury here too

LOL This was no real surprise. The case is really about the fact that she was IN HIS TRUNK, not about the whereabouts of HF and the defense conspiracy ideas. And since they knew this was coming, both sides undoubtedly planned their trial procedure with this situation - where we are now - as the anticipated reality to work with.
