I have seen the cell tower ping stuff in diff cases and from what I can get, it is very helpful but in area with lots of usage calls can go to another tower so there is not total reliability in its use to pinpoint area. Like one reporter says very technical (confusing to me lol)

IF Hunter had something to do with it. Why would he bother trying to call her after MM and family started looking for her. He's not smart enough to do it just to create call records to show he "cared."

Imo, he didn't care to wonder sooner, but he didn't know something happened or he wouldn't have called her.

He could have waited so long to try calling because they were fighting that night. Maybe he thought she needed a break. Then he found out she was legitimately missing.
