TX - David Tuck & Keith Turner for beating, sodomizing 16yo, Spring, 2006

  • #61
This is the first I've heard this:

County prosecutor Mike Trent said the boy also had high levels of toxins in his organs, indicating the attackers may have poured bleach inside the pipe used to sodomize him. Doctors believe the boy, who was in critical condition Friday, passed out quickly and was unconscious for most of the attack.

:( :( :( :(

The poor victim is also facing infection from having his gut contents spill into his abdominal cavity. These young psychopaths had to of been out trolling for a victim. Why on earth were racist tatooed cross burners invited to a Latinos home in the first place or did they invade and crash the party? I think it was a premeditated murder plot as part of some sort of organized crime that the freak boys had going. There is really no telling what all did happen to that 12 year old girl before the party ended. She may have been ganged raped by those two and no telling how many other skin heads.

According to the latest news reports here, the attackers threatened the ones who knew about it, that harm would come to them if they cooperated with police.

Fear and immaturity are a horrible combination. I think the 12 year old and her brother knew about it, but understanding the reality of it--and the consequences--are another thing entirely.

My 13 y/o watched me take a dish from the oven with hot pads, place it on a trivet, and then burned her hand against the dish serving herself. She said, "Why didn't you tell me it was hot?"

I am not excusing their behavior, but it is entirely possible that they didn't think the boy was hurt THAT badly or even thought he might still be there in the morning. Stupid, but true.

I really think the parents in that home were absent in more ways than just this one night, as well.
I have to find the link, but I read somewhere today, that the 12 YO girl and her 16 YO brother witnessed the attack. As soon as I find that article, I'll post the link. "Denholm said the 12-year-old girl and her older brother witnessed the attack, but made no effort to stop it."

I found this when I was searching for the other link...

http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=1903700&page=2 It says that the adult tenant slept through the whole thing, and that there were only the occupants (16,12 Yo's and the adult) along with the two suspects and the victim at the house. I somehow find it hard to beleive that those two kids who lived there let that happen and didn't go wake up the adult in the house.

Someone let me know about the kid (the victim's) myspace. He's got a lot of sympathy now, of course, from people leaving comments. (Not posting it anywhere yet, myself). But I wonder where they were when he was laying in that yard all night? That's another part of this story that just bothers me a great deal.

The latino kid's page is pretty normal for a guy his age -- naked girls, music... yet in the photos there he looks like a decent kid who has plenty of friends. One pic of him with some male friends makes me think that the bullying had something to do with his size as well -- as in, he wasn't a very big guy, at all. That would make sense for these creeps to not only target his race but especially focus on him if he was not a big guy. I really hope these guys get the maximum penalties Tx can throw at their sorry selves.

So, to sum up all the news storiesc from the Houston Chronicle and ABC13 and KPRC2--and Dallas Morning News.
The girl involved was Hispanic as well.

Reports are, the "kissed girl" was just a cover up. The victim tried to leave the party, according to one source, and there was an issue of drugs.

The victim was attending an alternative school. Could have been for persistent misbehavior/conduct or a more serious issue such as being caught with drugs. He was hoping to be back at his regular high school for his senior year.

The house was known as a "party house" in the neighborhood.

The parent/renter of the house picked the teens up from a local Crawfish Festival and then went to bed while the teens hung out at the house.

The next-door neighbor of Tuck said he was the "neighbor from hell."

My thought is...why does anyone have to live with this time bomb next door before the police finally take action? Why weren't the police regularly stopping at the "party house" instead of the neighbors living in fear?

This is just absolutely sickening and I feel so sorry for that poor boy and his family. :( I hope those two cretins get the book thrown at them! I wonder if they'd be put in segregation if they make it to the State Pen...I'm sure some of the Latino fellows at the Pen would be more than happy to throw them a welcome party.

A bit of an update:

A second man accused of using a pipe to sodomize a young party guest at a Spring residence told investigators he was not present for the entire duration of the attack...

So he's a liar as well as scum.

He was there long enough. He's a wannabe, he can take the consequences for what he wanted to be.

How is the poor kid doing? I really hope he makes it... at least if he'll have enough of a life to be worth it (I don't know how much brain damage, etc. he may have taken).

He is still critical, but stable.

Snips from the article Cathieq posted from today's Houston Chronicle:

The 17-year-old victim, a former Klein Collins High School football player, is listed in critical but stable condition at Memorial Hermann Hospital. In addition to massive internal injuries, head wounds and a carving mark on his chest, prosecutors revealed today that he has what appear to be cigarette burns on his back.

Although the victim's chances for survival appeared bleak at first, authorities are expressing cautious optimism.

"I'm hoping, since he lasted this long, he's going to pull through," Trent said.

It's a scary thought to realize that those two who did this won't spend too many years in jail, only to be turned loose. There will most likely be other victims in the future due to their violence and sadism. I wonder if the victim met them at the alternative school? Texas seems to be sending kids to these schools who really don't need to be there. I recently heard of a 10 year old boy being sent to "juvie" for bringing marijuana to school. I think his parents and whoever gave it to him should go to jail, not him.

One of them is 18, so he'll be an adult. The other - hopefully they'll try him as an adult too.

I've been following this thread since it was first posted and it just makes me sick. Although violence is horrid enough, what the heck is happening lately that these monsters get the idea to strip someone and assalt them in such a vile way? Teen boys have had fist fights since the beginning of time, but this seems to me to be something new. How does one attacker even communicate such an idea to the other?

Statement released from Turner's parents:

Parents' Statement:
We as the parents of Keith Turner are deeply saddened and sickened by the recent course of events. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and his family. We sincerely hope that a full recovery is made. We in no way condone or encourage the type of behavior that has taken place. In recent years Keith has had problems with drugs and violence. I assure you that we have not sat passively by and allowed this to happen without attempting to correct his choices. There have been attempts with counseling, medication and rehap. The unfortunate outcome is that he continued to make bad choices. We also did not feel that forcing him onto society to be dealt with was an option either. Our attemps were to keep that type of burden from happening. At this time we wanted to make everyone aware that this situation deeply concerns us. We are unable to make any public appearance due to the recent threats agatinst us, our family and our home. We wanted to make this statement in an attempt to convey our concern for all parties involved. We do still love our son, but do not accept this behavior.

Thank you,
The parents of Keith Turner

The 17-year-old Spring boy who was savagely beaten and sodomized with a pipe more than a week ago still can't speak or squeeze his mother's hand. But his face — once swollen almost beyond recognition — has started to heal and friends are sure he can hear their prayers, his older brother said Monday.

In the family's first public statement since the attack, the boy's 21-year-old brother said the family's attention remains focused solely on the teen's health, which is still too poor to undergo operations on his internal organs.

"He's still in bad shape, but he's doing a tad better," said the brother, as he spoke in front of the family's Spring home. "He was in the wrong place at the wrong time ... I'm not out for revenge. I'm just worried about my brother."

I hope he makes it. And I hope he will get the chance to stand up in court and tell the little cowards just what he thinks. And I hope he lives to see them in prison.
They were big guys when it was two against one, but they won't look so tough in court.

This statement took alot of guts. I truly feel for these people. I can never imagine having to deal with a child of mine committing such a horrific act.

Wow - Normally all you ever hear from the parents of the perps is "Oh not our son he is innocent". I can imagine this is very difficult for them also and I commend them for making a statement and showing their concern for the victim and his family and saying they do not condone their sons actions.

I agree. That had to have been one of the hardest things any parent could ever be asked to do for a living child. They not only thought of the victim, they were aware of their son's problems, and had been seeking help for him. It is very evident that he most likely wasn't raised this way. They will support their son, but will not condone what he did. I can understand they still love him and want the best for him. But they aren't denying it or trying to give excuses for it.
It would have been too easy for them to have given some excuse for the fight, and ignored the severity of what happened. They didn't do it.
