Found Deceased TX - Delano Burkes, 26, missing after night out with friends, went to use the bathroom, seen running, Houston, 13 Nov 2022

This is a good suggestion. He's running like he's injured or drugged imho.
MOO
I don't see that an injured person would swing/flab their arms and run, wouldn't that cause pain and/or more injury?
When he is first shown on video, he is walking, not appearing to be injured, adjusting his coat, then he breaks into a jog/run.
Usually the outcome of someone being drugged, in a bar, is sedation. I guess "drugged" could also include the missing man taking a stimulant drug.

Sometimes when people are stabbed they don't even realize what happened to them right away. Adrenaline hits and perhaps even shock.
You can be drugged and stumbling away from a place (source: personal experience) for awhile before succumbing to the pass-out part.
The other thing is, some people lace marijuana joints with PCP (source: unfortunately another intensely terrifying personal experience) or sativa which could easily cause the behavior shown in the videos.

Speculation on my part - my opinion only

I’m thinking paranoia as a side effect causing him to run/jog. Even if the guys behind him were harmless, if he’s paranoid he might think they were trying to rob him and therefore need to run. He’s dressed well (Burberry) in a neighborhood where crime is increasing (per posters) maybe it was something he was worried about and paranoia got the best of him.

MOO Yes, far more likely than injured or being drugged, although he doesn't seem concerned when he is first walking out, adjusting his coat. He doesn't look around, but of course, he can imagine it without seeing evidence of it (being followed). I do think it's possible, as someone else posted, he might be concerned if there was a scene in the bar when he was refused service, that LE is on the way, resulting in odd drunken paranoid running.MOO

I drove by McIntyre's just now, that footage with the cable reels is from the back side on 19th st.

Looking at the video, it appears he is walking at first and then begins to run. I wonder if he went in the front door and went out the back door. Couldn't see his friends or his car, so he got a little nervous and started running. Then, he may have reoriented and crossed the street. Still, being obviously impaired, he didn't find them. I hope he is found.

Perhaps - speculation - he was taking Adderall or something as well. The mixture of Adderall and alcohol can cause psychosis. This type of interaction can also cause tings that may make a person be removed from a restaurant. I really hope he is found and is alive. It could be like the recent case of the teacher that went homeless for a while because of mental illness. I hope he is found alive soon.

'He’s a really nice soul': Search for missing 26-year-old man has lasted nearly a week, family says (click2houston.com)
“We have video of him coming out the back of the bar. They said he was drunk, so they escorted him out of the back of the bar,” said Karen Jeffley, Burkes mom.

Surrounding businesses also caught glimpses of Burkes, who was reportedly out with friends but got separated, according to family.

“He’s a really nice soul. Really nice person,” Jeffley said.

Loved ones have spent the past six days posting fliers throughout the Heights area.

Volunteers with Texas Equusearch also joined the search.

Maybe someone can look at their footage and see if they see anybody run down the street that way, we can at least get a direction,” said Jeffley.

I'm still looking for the storage yard with the deuce and a half truck. It wasn't on 19th going west, only a unimog in that direction.

I didn't realize he had such a large escort out of the bar (it begins at the 1:07 mark).

It's on Bevis Street, between W 18 Street and W 17 Street. I believe @HoustonGuy found it, but the post got deleted.

I am hoping he is found like Michelle Reynolds was found. Hoping that he is found as a Thanksgiving miracle for his family!

You can’t lace a marijuana joint with sativa. Sativa is a type of weed.
Are you talking about salvia?

Pretty sure that's what OP meant. I doubt he was smoking wet. I've smoked bud for 10+ years and have never fell into any laced with PCP. Does this really happen that often?

My whole family smokes weed and we’ve never had it happen.

I also wonder what the circumstances of the trespassing at Peden St were. Did he have a habit of getting drunk and wondering onto people’s properties? Maybe he did something similar the night of the disappearance..
Here's the charging complaint for the arrest, to which he pled guilty.

Why he would break in and try to steal something is beyond me, according to his Affidavit of Financial condition he & his wife make good money. I redacted the Complainants name b/c I'm pretty sure I can't post it on this site.

That’s what I was confused about as well…maybe he was just drunk so the owners thought he was trying to steal. Still very odd.

I haven’t watched the video yet. It hits a bit too close to home without even seeing it. I had some wild years and one time was left by my friends in a foreign country! They simply didn’t know how to get me in line. I don’t blame his friends. But I am so horribly sad for what seems to be the outcome. JMO

A few blocks away there is some sort of waterway along the White Oak Bayou Trailway. A river or drainage of some sort? Does any of the locals know if there is water in that waterway these days?

Substance abuse can make people do some strange things. JMO, just generally speculating.

Yeap, there's always water in that bayou. And we've been getting a lot of rain lately so there's been some pretty big flows going through there. Eventually that bayou dumps into Buffalo Bayou which then dumps into Galveston Bay.
