I guess it may mean he is in custody and not arrested.

San Antonio PD is asking anybody pictured in this screenshot to contact them. It's believed one or more of these folks may have witnessed the shooting of the officer.

I just heard broadcasted on Fox News national t.v. that the search is still on for this guy. I don't know who it was they picked up and talked to yesterday, but apparently it isn't the shooter.

So very sad. I hope they apprehend the shooter soon. I'm listening to SAPD scanner. LEO's are doubling up so they don't have to respond to calls alone.

I want the perp caught of course but found myself strangely glad the guy pictured and questioned wasn't the shooter as he and I share similar (negligible) fashion sense and exactly the same Spurs cap. #kawhi #manu

Just heard on fox that the suspect was inside and had a discussion with the officer at the front desk, would not say what was said, suspect also spoke to dispatch ? On the officers car radio after shooting him, also would not say what he said. It's my opine that the guy in the image is the suspect.

SAN ANTONIO - A man who was first considered a person of interest is now suspected in the shooting death of Detective Benjamin Marconi near police headquarters, San Antonio police Chief William McManus said Monday.
McManus said there are various reasons why the man is suspected, but he wouldn't elaborate further.

I'm glad the people who think that those accused of crimes should be executed on the spot aren't in charge of trying to find the right suspect. I mean. We have a constitution for a reason. After due process, THEN punishment.

In San Antonio, McManus ordered officers to double up while on patrol until they catch the suspect in Marconi’s death. He said that as the sprawling manhunt for Marconi’s killer approached the 24-hour mark, police had questioned a number of people and at one point took into custody, and then released, a person of interest.

Not sure who you mean. There was somebody they had in custody, but who has been released.
