Apologies but I think there are two threads about this case. Can they be merged ? Tia.

Under what topic do you see another thread on this case? I looked & can't find another, but that doesn't mean that there isn't one. I suggest that you notify a mod & ask that the threads be merged.

The article also states that Texas Rangers are involved because the 1 lone officer went into the house before backup arrived. I'm a bit confused as to why that was a cause for Texas Rangers to investigate. Is it against procedure for only 1 officer to respond without backup?

It's pretty standard that whenever a policeman kills someone that you have law enforcement who are NOT colleagues of that officer investigate.

I don't know about procedure, but I know during the press conference the other day the chief said the officer felt he didn't have time to wait for backup. I'm sure he went in to try and prevent further lives from being lost.

I would think he would be abusing his pain meds with his addiction history moo

I would also suspect that he had been stalking her. It is none of his business if she is haveing a party.

IIRC wasn't the date something significant also m so that could have been it

Her having her own party means she is moving along which might have also been a trigger

I wonder when the cop entered if there were other victims still alive as it relates to was his plan to end to his life ?

No suicide note yet tho moo

Ex-husband who opened fire at wife's party killing eight - including one of his own best friends - had lost his job in 2015 and developed a drinking problem
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4881722/Man-killed-wife-7-drinking-problem.html

Spencer Hight exhibits characteristics of an injustice collector. A common characteristics of rampage killers and terrorists.

Injustice Collectors
http://www.psybersquare.com/family/family_injustice.html

Characteristics of Injustice Collectors:
1.) Injustice Collectors are convinced that they are never wrong. How is it possible that they are never wrong? It is simple: They are always right.

2.) Injustice Collectors never apologize. Ever. For anything.

3.) Injustice Collectors truly believe that they are morally and ethically superior to others and that others chronically do not hold themselves to the same high standards as the injustice collector does.

4.) Injustice Collectors make the rules, break the rules and enforce the rules of the family. They are a combined legislator, police, and judge and jury of

5.) Injustice Collectors never worry about what is wrong with themselves as their "bad list" grows. Their focus is always on the failings of others.

6.) Injustice Collectors are never upset by the disparity of their rules for others with their own expectations of themselves.

7.) Injustice Collectors rationalize their own behavior with great ease and comfort.

Characteristics of Injustice Collectors

1. Injustice collectors are never wrong. How is it possible that they are never wrong? It's simple: They are always right.

2. Injustice collectors never apologize. Ever. For anything.

3. Injustice collectors truly believe they are morally and ethically superior to others and that others seem incapable of holding themselves to the same high standards as the injustice collector does.

4. Injustice collectors make the rules, break the rules and enforce the rules of the family. They are a combination of legislator, police, judge and jury to those they consider their subjects. They forever banish from their kingdom any subject they deem disloyal, and only grant clemency if there is sufficient (in their eyes) contrition.

5. Injustice collectors never worry about what is wrong with them as their "bad" list grows. Their focus is always on the failings of others.

6. Injustice collectors are never troubled by the disparity between their rules for others and their own expectations of themselves. Injustice collectors rationalize their own behavior with great ease and comfort.

7. Injustice collectors have an external orientation; the problem always exists in the world, outside of themselves, and in their view, the world would be an acceptable place if their rules and standards were followed at all times.

8. Injustice collectors do not have a capacity for remorse, empathy or guilt.

9. Injustice collectors scoff at the idea of therapy, therapists, self-help books, and other tools used by people who struggle to live with them.

10. The phrase "walking on eggshells" describes life with an injustice collector.

11. The IC (injustice Collector) will prey upon your weaknesses to frame all issues in their terms.

12. IC's will always cry foul when you are 'mean' to them and accuse you of being nasty when you are confronting them with their negative behavior.

13. They are titanically insecure and cannot trust anyone. All relationships they have, even with their own parents and children and trustless and must be reinforced by subordination over and over.

14. They can only strengthen relationships through imprisoning their mates and banning behaviors and other relationships. Friends and family are a huge threat to the IC.

15. They must repetitively revisit situations where you service them, give in to them and agree with them. They will over time shrink your world to a small plot of empty activities that only they like. They are terrified of travel, meeting new people, understanding new concepts and paroling you from any punishment they have previously 'convicted' you of.

16. They do not care about you at all, they care about aggrandizing themselves with you as an assistant producer.

17. They will occasionally do something for you, but if you are not completely brainwashed, it will be a negative experience for you in the end. Example is throwing you a birthday party. I guarantee you will not have fun at your own party.

18. They will force you to choose between them and other things you like or love. The more you choose them, the more they will make you choose them over and over. They do not understand the concept of loyalty at all.

19. Hypocrisy is their modus operandi for debating and arguing with you. Everything they say about you is true about them. (aka Projection) It makes it so you try to 'win' fights by getting them to agree with you, which they never can because their whole position is false.

20. Your life will disappear into their lives. Your hopes and dreams will fade, even in your own mind. You will eat what they want, you will watch what they want on TV, you will vacation where they want, or not at all.

Looking at injustice collector characteristics, it is narcissism, which it is at heart. Injustice collector is another term for extreme narcissism. Envy often occurs with narcissism.

The Narcissist and Jealousy
http://thenarcissisticlife.com/the-narcissist-and-jealousy/

Examples of injustice collectors are Jodi Arias, Lori Drew, Betty Broderick, Dora Cisneros, Gertrude Baniszewski, George Sodini, Vester Flanagan, Elliot Rodger, Andrew Kehoe, Charles Whitman, Omar Mateen, Adam Lanza, Seung-Hui Cho, 9/11 Terrorists, and Osama bin Laden.

In this case, his tipping point is being divorced from Meredith Hight. He felt rejected and abandoned, which greatly intensified his resentment.

HMSHood, very interesting!! I've known a few people like that in my life. Thankfully, none has ever taken it to the level of killing.

No offense to the original poster (and thank you for starting this thread), but I am going to ask a mod if they could change the title of this thread. In my mind, a 'domestic dispute' is when a couple argues about who's turn it is to make dinner, or what the thermostat should be set at.

This was no dispute -- this was an execution. To call it a 'dispute', in my mind, minimizes the violence.

Like I say, not all injustice collectors are killers, but most killers are injustice collectors.

Injustice collectors are not just only mass murderers and terrorists. Many serial killers, jilted lovers, people who instigate others to torture and kill, and bullies are injustice collectors.

Websleuth Radio Interview Of Tina Meier describing Lori Drew
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/websleuths/2013/09/30/tricias-true-crime-radio-adult-cyber-bullying

It starts at the 20:40 mark. Tina Meier's describes of Lori Drew. Meier describes Drew as very talkative person who is a constant complainer. Drew is obsessed about her plight in life. She is described as extremely unhappy and negative. She is resentful at society. She is very envious of other people and feels her life is a living Hell. Lori Drew thinks everyone else has it good, but me, Tina Meier's description of Lori Drew describes Spencer Hight well. Hight complained a lot like Drew.

Meier's description of Lori Drew describes Jodi Arias, Michelle Carter, Betty Broderick, Yoselyn Ortega, Vester Flanagan, Elliot Rodger, Eric Harris, Charles Whitman, Adam Lanza, Seung-Hui Cho, Omar Mateen, Anders Breivik, 9/11 Terrorists, Osama bin Laden, Abubakar Shekau, and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Like them, they are highly negative people who make their own lives miserable. They are all dangerous injustice collectors. If one was not paying attention, one would think that Tina Meier is describing Spencer Hight, Elliot Rodger, or Osama bin Laden.

Injustice collectors have a hard time letting go of things. Hight could not get over the divorce with Meredith Lane. He felt rejected and abandoned. The very thing that drove Betty Broderick, Jodi Arias, Lori Drew, and Michelle Carter. They always feel abandoned and rejected. It is a source of their resentment like in Hight.

Injustice collectors are consumed by envy. Hight was envious that Meredith Lane was being successful and doing well, while he was languishing in his resentment. Elliot Rodger was consumed by envy as he wrote it in his manifesto. Envy drove Rodger into resentment at society. As mentioned with Lori Drew, she was consumed by envy, especially at the Meiers. The Meiers had a vacation house in Florida and a motorized yacht. That certainly made Lori Drew envious and resentful. She sees Megan Meier being successful at Immaculate Conception Catholic School, while Sarah was languishing in public school. Osama bin Laden resented and envied the West because they are prosperous and successful. He also saw the West as decadent and evil and persecuting Muslims. Bin Laden masterminded the deadly 9/11 Terrorist Attacks that claimed 3,000 people in New York, Arlington, and Shanksville.

Injustice collectors are at heart extreme narcissists. Some extreme narcissists are not driven by injustice collecting like Jerry Sandusky or Joran van der Sloot.

I would not be surprised if Hight has history of bullying as he has been in trouble with domestic violence.

Dear RLynne,

I understand your point but we go with what is reported. The member who started this thread (PastTense) posted exactly the way we want people to post. At the time the thread was posted we didn't have all of the information. Now we are better informed.

Your post was very respectful and I appreciate you bringing your idea to the mods/admins.

We will change the thread from TX - Plano 8 Dead in Domestic Dispute September 10, 2017 to TX - Plano 8 Dead in Domestic Violence Killing Spree September 10, 2017

Respectfully

WIth these four Elliot Omar Mateen, Adam Lanza, Seung-Hui Cho, I would go primary issue was profound mental illiness.

Cho was actively psychotic,

Omar was in bipolar spiral

Elliot mom had requested a mental health visit hours prior -- there is profound data there. The profound loneliness Elliot experienced was directly related to his Aspergers . They typically don't have the capacity to be aware of their social behaviors -- others respond to that .

For Elliot, we have to remember that he had a lifelong negative social interaction with the world around him - again , as a direct result of mental illness

Lanza was completely isolated for ages
and mom for some time acknowledged profound mental issues being observed

Charles Whitman was found to have a brain tumor

IMO Vestor would meet these criteria

9/11 gang in my mind were pure , for lack of a better word , terrorists

A lot of the injustice collector stuff can be correlated with personality disorders as opposed to organic medical mental illiness.

In this case this divorce had occurred some time ago -- I think moo, that the trigger was more anniversary date related - and having 8 friends over to his old house indicated that she was indeed moving on with her life which profoundly escalated him

he remained stuck and she appeared to
be moving forward. I do think he had been stalking her for some time.

I think he drove by - saw lots of cars - went to bar to drink and decided to go ahead with it

a BAL would be telling . So would a tox report / I would def think in light of his addictive history in all likelihood he was abusing his back meds

I agree that Seung-Hui Cho and Adam Lanza were probably psychotic. Lanza had issues of self-hatred. Cho stalked people and people were afraid of him in class.

I never heard of Omar Mateen being bipolar. I always thought Mateen was self-hating to the point it drove him to resentment. He had a history of bullying.

Charles Whitman always was troubled. He was a target of abuse by his father, who abused his mother and two brothers. The tumor was simply the last straw.

OT a bit!!

Re Omar :

His first wife stated so clearly (he suffered with bipolar) on her second interview media chose to ignore it .

Here is her interview.

She said this on June 12 --

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cW1smw4lkc

she explained the FBI told
told her not to mention that she thought he was gay.

Shortly before he went there he spent an entire evening ( getting more and more manic ) frantically searching antipsychotic meds

He was very disturbed all his life - he was placed as a child in a school for severely mentally ill children. The media ignored it.

He suffered with bipolar since childhood. Much has been learned about early onset bipolar.

Orlando shooter Omar Mateen's behavioral issues went as far back as elementary school, where his disruptive conduct and "lack of remorse" as a small boy were noted in his school records.\

At a young age, Mateen displayed a preoccupation with violence, the Associated Press and The Washington Post reported. For his elementary and middle school education, he attended classes in St. Lucie County, Florida. While at Mariposa Elementary School, a third grade teacher wrote that Mateen was "very active ... constantly moving, verbally abusive, rude, aggressive ... much talk about violence & sex ... hands all over the place – on other children, in his mouth". In the seventh grade, Mateen was moved to a separate class with the purpose of avoiding "conflicts with other students" and suffered from poor scholarly performance due to "many instances of behavioral problems".[SUP][13]
[/SUP]

Her family did an extraction of her from him -- it was like a military withdrawal -- parents would do that if they were mortified of him..

This is bipolar stuff with conduct disorder stuff IMO

before finishing high school was suspended for a total of 48 days, including for fighting and hurting classmates, school records showed.
In some instances he actually physically hurt other kids.

his middle school teachers wrote that the boy’s “attitude and inability to show self-control in the classroom create distractions.”

It was widely reported initially then ignored

This too was reported and then blown off

more coverage to make it a terrorist

in history is recorded as the biggest mass murder in the nation - that is mental stuff -- not terror

talking about being a terrorist is delusional

When confronted he totally owned he made it up.

Media ignored that he had been looked into twice by the FBI and cleared - the media ignored that reality.
