IMO, I am wondering if Liz made someone extremely angry about something and that person took revenge? I know it’s been said she was kind and loving but we’re all human beings. Was there a disagreement about something or someone? I’m not putting any blame on Liz! I used to think it was a stalker old boyfriend but I am leaning more toward revenge. Speculation

At this time, my biggest branches of theories for Liz’s murders motivation are jealousy of her seemingly perfect life (possibly with wanting to go specifically with Sergio to Disney land) possibly Liz selling something at the garage sale that the murderer considered much more intimate that Liz knew (Liz winning one of the items from them, then giving Liz the item and Liz not seeing how special it was to them) or possibly Liz’s pictures being used to catfish someone, Liz being completely unaware, and then shot for it. I consider this last theory because of how Liz leans into the persons extended arm to look at something right before she is shot.

Robbery, Jealousy, Vengeance, Insurance Payment, Divorce without a Lawyer are probably the most common motivations for murder. We can rule our robbery because nothing was taken. Playing the odds the others almost always will include an identifiable connection between the victim and the murderer. Who was jealous, who wanted revenge, who is the SO...? The connection is almost always identifiable and friends will tell police who those people are. That makes this crime so much more confounding that no one in Liz's life can identify a person who they can link to this truck.

To me this means this person is angry on behalf of someone else. Perhaps the brother/sister/spouse/ex-girlfriend of the wronged person that nobody knows about.

I watched it a couple of times again recently, and notice Liz take a HUGE step back. I am not sure if this is because she knew this person, saw the gun, or both.

I personally think it’s likely the killer had a phone and was showing Liz something on it, as Liz leans in pretty close while the shooter has their left arm extended.

Have you ever been confronted with something on a phone? This looks a lot like it to me. Liz takes the huge step back, regains her composure for a split second, and then leans in forward to get a better look at what the person is showing her.

What this person was showing her, I have no idea. I do think they were confronting Liz with something on a phone though.

This could lead to tracing someone down with pings in that area at the time, unless they had it on airplane mode which I think is highly likely if they were showing Liz a phone screen and didn’t want to be traced back.

Could a small tracker have been placed on S's work van? Then the killer would have known as soon as S was leaving the house? Was his van checked for something like that?

Speculation upthread that IF you wanted to communicate clandestinely you could give someone the username and password to your security camera. You could have an additional hidden camera, other than the "known" Ring camera on the front door. They could watch you and even hear you as a way of coordinating without texting or calling. Of course this is risky because the camera would log into your house router which you could easily trace.

YouTube Channel "That Chapter" have uploaded videos Heidi Firkus and Sheila Keen Warren.
Both these cases have eerie similarities to Liz's murder and have absolutely cemented in my mind who is responsible.
Heidi was shot to death at home by her husband because he was in a lot of debt and they were about to be evicted without her knowledge. He remarried very quickly and it was the new wife who cracked the case.
Sheila was having an affair with a married man, she dressed up in a clown costume and murdered his wife on her own doorstep. This was witnessed by the victim's adult son, who could not tell if the clown was a woman or a man.
Interesting, it seems the husband was not actually aware this was going to happen.

I think her murder is related to her volunteering at hospitals. She would dress up in Star Wars gear and go see sick/dying kids in the hospital. I imagine she had a run-in with a parent.

It could've been anything that caused a real or perceived slight to someone. Perhaps right before the end of their life, a sick kiddo was happier with the EB Star Wars visit than a gift/act provided by a parent. Or, perhaps EB reported a parent for real/suspected abuse, etc.

Someone with baseline mental illness and/or a narcissistic personality could have been greatly triggered by losing their child along with a perceived or actual slight from EB. It's not that hard to picture the killer ruminating for months or even years before deciding to kill EB.

The parent could have hired the killer and been the passenger in the truck and insisted on making a second pass to see her body. The note/phone handed to EB could have referenced the child, parent and/or perceived/actual slight in a way EB would recognize but wouldn't necessarily be obvious to LE.

Just MOO but it's what I've thought ever since hearing she did hospital visits to kiddos.

• Hardly any (pretty much zero) media coverage of Liz's case
• There has been no public update on the murder of Elizabeth Barraza

• Liz's killer is no threat to Town of Tomball, TX (even though no arrest has been made) because the murder was exclusive to Liz only (don't believe this, there is still a killer out there, capable of killing again, imo)

That is the other angle that I actually posted a day or so after the murder. Could this have been random? Either a mistake, or a crime of opportunity? A thrill-kill. I changed my mind when the video of the truck arriving the night before and driving right past her house, then arriving almost exactly on-time in the morning.

Still- nobody recognizes that truck? This person drive by the night before and who knows how often before that. If a person I know drives by my house, I would recognize them. This person didn't care about being seen at all or they are oblivious to the fact that everyone has a ring camera.

One would think that given her personality and friendliness that the "who" would be obvious. Either it is someone so obscure with regard to Elizabeth or they have a rock solid alibi. I've lost count of the number of cold cases on true crime shows where the killer is finally found and they weren't even on LE's radar. Even though this is apparently VERY personal I wouldn't be surprised that when the killer is caught it will turn out to be someone LE didn't even suspect.

This case is so frustrating ... don't even want to imagine what Liz's family go through.
Would like to see new investigative eyes on this case. Take another look at that person(s) who early on may have had a solid alibi.
