So when the truck got pulled over that day, does anyone know if it was a man or woman driving the truck?

I'm in the camp that the person who shot Liz was a man (badly) disguised as a woman who is not familiar with firearms. The one-handed shooting has me scratching my head. At first I would think they are not familiar with firearms, but then there are those people who actually train to shoot one-handed in case of an emergency where they don't have both their hands free. So who knows?

Watching the Arrin Stoner video and listening to when he did the vocal analysis, I don't think it's a female perp.

IMO

maybe they only had a glove on one hand? maybe their other hand is disabled somehow (arthritis, injury)? just spitballing.

Could be! That one handed shooting has me stumped.

Thought twice....and deleted. ; )

A question about the shoes. Many of you are convinced the Perp is wearing "Ugh" boots. Where I live, only teens/early 20-somethings wore them (as you don't see them much anymore.) You could always hear them shuffling along, seemingly having trouble picking their feet up. How on earth could you run in those? Strange shoe choice for a quick getaway.

Amateur opinion and speculation
I'm not convinced they're ugg boots but wanted to comment on running in them, they are incredibly comfortable and easy to run in, I wouldn't wear them to do any daily running but in a pinch I'd run in them without hesitation.

The one handed shooting has always left me wondering. Because most people with firearm experience shoot two handed. The shooter grazed Liz's neck with the first shot, was this due to inexperience? Nerves? Excitement?

Or was it someone ultra familiar with firearms and had practiced one handed enough they were comfortable shooting that way even in a high stress situation?

Also based on how they held the weapon there's been some speculation that this isn't a trained shooter - but I think even a trained shooter who is a dispassioned killer and set on their goal would get right up close to their target to be certain to hit and kill them.

One interesting tradeoff to contemplate is that by walking all the way up the driveway and further from their car, the killer was willing to trade risk of being identified/caught for an increase to their chance of succeeding.

The shooter didn't want Liz scared, they didn't want her injured, they didn't want to teach her a lesson, they didn't want her cowed - they wanted her dead. Dead dead.

MOO.

My interpretation of the killer walking right up to Elizabeth, getting right in her face was motivated by pure unadulterated hatred and as you stated, this person wanted her dead, dead , dead. I am adding this as I think about it more: this person wanted Elizabeth to know who was killing her- my guess is that Elizabeth recognized that person!

I don't think she recognized the shooter readily but I think it was deeply personal for the shooter. I think E had about one second to process the why and the who, which I'd precisely how the shooter wanted it to happen.

I'd be interested to know if the driver of the truck that was stopped shortly after the BOLO was issued lived nearby (say, within a block or so of EB's home), and if so, did anyone else live in the home who might have had access to that truck earlier that morning? (And in the middle of the night before.) Could it be that there was something about the Barazza's living nearby that irritated someone who was a hothead (or who had a propensity to drink or use drugs to the point of losing impulse control when angry) and who also had access to a gun?

For example: I see that EB and SB had a dog. Was the dog out front, or in the house, or left in the backyard while EB and SB began setting the garage sale up? Did the dog frequently (or even occasionally, but recurrently) bark outside, where it could be heard down the block or in homes on the cul-de-sac behind the Barazza's home? Were any folks in the neighborhood aware of anyone who was getting especially testy about it? When EB and SB walked their dog (or let it loose, if they did that), did they pick up the dog's waste? (Could a photo of dog waste "left behind on someone's lawn for the umpteenth time" have been what the shooter was showing EB before shooting her three times, and then a fourth?).

Dogs defecating on neighbors' and HOA-common-area lawns is a BIG source of recurrent, and increasingly angry complaints on a social media site used among neighbors where I live.

If there was a recurrent problem about which a neighbor was getting increasingly irritated, that could explain the truck's presence in the middle of the night before as well as the morning of the murder. Maybe anger and hostility were building in someone whose only connection was proximity.

To me, the shooter looked like and seemed to move like an adult woman and her rapid approach up the driveway looked like it could have been driven by anger.

Edited for spelling.
These are really good questions. <modsnip: off topic>

I would not totally discount that possiblity.

Decades ago, I knew a group that was involved in adult cosplay of a medieval meets renaisance, meets Lord of the Rings variety.

Anyways, it was not uncommon for members of the group to wear partial costume. I doubt there was any blurring out fantasy and reality.

Rather, mixing and matching modern clothing with "traditional" (very broadly defined) was not seen as strange in the group.

Likewise, they made their own costumes and props and liked showing them to each other and to other appreciative types such as theatre majors, participants at the open mic poetry night at the coffee shop etc.

Making a long story short.... It would not surprise me if some Star Wars cosplay afficionados go "partial costume" with out thinking about it.

One could argue it was Rae, Harry Potter, Leia, or LOTR.

I think the robe was just their usual style, and the shooter was a fan of these types of genres, like Liz.

I personally think the shooter was showing Liz something with their left hand. I think it was probably something on a phone. Liz takes a HUGE step back then leans in forward to look, this is shot before she can react.

The shooters skill and knowledge is up for debate too. I can’t decide if they used the revolver because it was all they could get on short notice (implying they may not be familiar with guns) or if it was super strategic, as revolvers are not common as much anymore, don’t eject the shell casings, and are extremely unlikely to jam (implying they may know a lot about guns).

They shot Liz 3 times, hit her all 3 times, and then stood over her with a 4th shot and shot her in the head. At the end of the day, they did not miss and they accomplished their goal. They may not be a professional hitman, but they were very effective.
Just my opinion, and I am no expert on hitmen, but the old double tap seems to be what most shooting experts, seals, etc do- one to the chest and one to the head. Maybe a hitman would have had access to, and used, a silencer. I envision a hitman not standing there talking even for the 10-20 seconds they did. They could have shaved off 20 seconds of their get away time

One other thing jumped out to me. I was of the opinion that the killer drove back by Liz only because they were lost, but according to Stoner's video, after I rewatched it carefully, the killer made it out to Kuykendal the main road out of the development, and once on that road, they had a better chance of getting away. Instead, they turned around and went back by Liz, so maybe people are right when they say that the killer wanted to ensure Liz was dead. The only problem I have with that is, you just shot her 3 times in the chest and once in the head. It seems like even the most novice of shooters would have to think that was enough to kill her so why risk going back?

if the robe was their usual style i think they would've been found by now honestly

Exactly what I think, their somewhat usual style.

I don't. I think this person was dressed like a woman close to Liz's age, dressed for a morning activity such as walking the dog. Star Wars/sci-fi fan or not, it is a pretty popular robe/sweater choice the time of year that it happened. The Uggs style boots, the somewhat messy hair, and the robe all look like a white woman around Liz's age carrying out a morning activity before they are showered and ready for the day.

As discussed previously, this case is EXTREMELY similar to Kaitlyn Armstrong, who shot a cyclist named Mo Wilson.

Almost the exact same thing, in Texas too.

Kaitlyn gunned down Mo at her home, was caught on ring camera driving her distinctive Jeep. She shot Mo multiple times after she was lying supine on her back trying to survive. She shot her two in the head, once in the chest. Kaitlyn then circled around in the Jeep to ensure she was dead.

Maybe that can clear up some questions you had, or give you an idea on why someone would do that?
