TX TX - Elizabeth Barraza, 29, murdered setting up garage sale, Harris Co, Jan 2019 #7

It does give me the impression that whoever was driving the black truck was trying to avoid being seen by Sergio when they moved from their spot in the school parking lot to conceal in another area just as his car was pulling up and he would have been facing them.

I think if this too when recalling that they turned the truck back around after fleeing and are seen driving passed the Barazza’s home again. Perhaps they realized upon reaching Kuykendahl Road in their rush to get away they realized they drove in the wrong direction and did a U-turn because they were supposed to turn and exit on that road at another part of that neighborhood?

I do wonder if he was in contact with someone, like a colleague or his dad who he worked with, to let them know he just left home or he was on the way to Lowe’s and then another individual next to or in contact with that contact then informed Liz’s assailant. In other words, perhaps two or three people are involved in the planning of the terrifying shooting and murder of LB and they used such a method to cover their tracks or limit the type, like text messages pertaining to LB’s or SB’s locations, t
or the amount of digital evidence that could be found on a single phone. Just my own theory or speculation.

IMO LB’s killer also seemed to be in a rush or tried to waste no time that morning in SB leaving and then immediately carrying out the awful attack. I do wonder why that is. It is almost like they were in a rush or had to get it done at that exact time or early as possible even though presumably she would be outside, and therefore more vulnerable, for a good part of the day due to the garage sale.

I could also see the possibility of maybe at least two passengers inside the track during the 2 AM drive as the killer seemed to scout the house and perhaps map their route to and from the house.

I also agree that is quiet possible that truck is not their own personal car and that they were temporarily borrowing it, perhaps too without the owner’s awareness it to commit the crime.

I think it’s entirely possible a close friend and/or family member was using the Ring doorbell to carry out the crime. I also think it’s totally possible a close friend or family member gave this information to someone else to carry out a murder for hire.

I think they may have watched Sergio leave through the Ring and then approached Liz when Sergio was gone, and it was confirmed Liz was outside by herself.

I do wonder though….why did it seem so important to make sure Sergio was not present at the time of the murder?

So he couldn't be blamed.....

.... and not be hit by a bullet by chance and also not be forced to help his wife survive (otherwise failure to provide assistance and his problem).
It would be MIGHTY awkward for him to have been there, seen the perp walk up and shoot his wife, and making no effort to stop the shooting.

It would also be super awkward to choose between chasing the perp or performing first aid, all the while not being a target himself.

From this viewpoint, it really feels like someone wanted her dead without giving Sergio a chance to save her.

That’s one idea.

I also think whoever arranged all of this did not want him to be a witness or in the line of fire.

This being said, Sergio, while IMHO guessing who did it (now), might have not been agreeable with the idea of his wife being killed, you know.

(This case is so unfair, I hope it will be solved).

I believe both Sergio and Brandon Bevers have a very, very good idea of who killed their wives but just cannot say it out loud for various reasons and/or do not want to acknowledge their (probable) family could have their wife killed.

Fear, too. What if one knows that people who are close to them can kill so easily?

Re: the 2 a.m. drive through the neighborhood, maybe the driver was not only checking out the layout of the streets, but also wanted to see whether the Barrazas had gotten an early start setting up before dark, just to get a rough idea of when they'd finish setting out their items in the morning. In other words, if she already had all the folding tables and clothing racks out, she might not set up until briefly before the sale.

I don't even know that she used tables and clothing racks, or whether the sale was going to be held in the driveway as well as in the garage itself. But the driver may have wanted to see in advance if it looked like the sale would be held one location or the other, and whether the sale items were going to cover the entire driveway, which would make parking the vehicle there to approach Liz up close impossible. (I do know people who run yard sales for multiple days and will set up everything on their tables and just cover it with plastic sheets overnight, though I doubt they leave the higher-value items out.)

I think the perp wanted to ensure they arrived so early that Liz had barely started setting up, versus when she was well underway and had a better chance of an "early bird" shopper arriving.

Pro and part time "pickers" with resale intentions will be out and about before 0700 to pounce on certain sales as they open.

"The early bird gets the worm" concept is alive and well regarding the need to beat the competition to select sales- or to sales in general for high income areas.

I have seen this type of behavior taken to the next level. My brother once had an ordinary garage sale. It was advertised in advance. I personally witnessed a picker knocking on the front door the night prior to the sale, asking if they could take a look at what he planned to sell the next morning. A little private pre-sale event if you will.

An impertinence, I think.

With the police response being so quick in this case, it was surprising that the police cars responding on Kuykendahl Road did not pass the Nissan Frontier Pro-4X truck that left the scene of the crime. That is the part that will always make me wonder about this murder. This is why.

There is video that I posted previously (post 441) of police traveling from the south up Kuykendahl Road as they responded to Elizabeth Barraza's murder. Yet we know that the killer after the murder returned to drive back past the Barraza house before eventually going south on Sandusky Drive which ends in a cul-de-sac dead end street. Somehow the killer was able to drive off the end of the cul-de-sac to leave the subdivision, maybe to get back to Kuykendahl Road. I thought it was strange that while traveling down Sandusky Drive the killer did not make a left hand turn to try to get back to Kuykendahl Road sooner.

The amazing part is that with all the officers that probably responded from both the north and from the south on Kuykendahl Road, none of their police car cameras was able to capture a Nissan Frontier Pro-4X truck heading in the opposite direction as they responded.

Maybe the killer immediately went east after Elizabeth Barraza's murder? Did police ever detail the other locations the Nissan Frontier Pro-4X passed surveillance cameras after the crime? The problem with driving east is the sun rising at the same time. It can be difficult trying to drive towards the sun in the morning or as the sun is setting at night. If a person needed sunglasses for driving, they might keep them in their vehicle.

I would like to get a fact checked, please.

Is it true Liz had custom made shirts and shoes for her trip to Disneyland? The same source claims she had a brand new Harry Potter luggage she was excited about.

Hmm…is there a cost estimate for all these items? That sounds like it could add up to a sizable sum considering they were having a yard sale for trip money.

I’ve wondered before if Liz could have infuriated someone with what appeared to be Liz’s dream life. I can just hear a female rival saying “this b*tch is going to Disneyland???”.

I didn’t know Liz made and sold things. I have not seen any indications of this, but I’ve wondered if Liz could have been involved in an MLM. Imagine being a desperate single mother (this was not too far after Christmas time too and single desperate mothers are ideal targets for MLM) and having your last few little bits of money lost in a scheme like that, only to see your uplink going to Disneyland with custom made shirts and shoes. She packed a week early, clearly it was a very big deal to her. Always wondered about this angle….

On the flip side, how much did this enthusiasm and excitement bothered Sergio? Was the trip putting them in financial strain? Was he constantly having to agree to over-the-top ideas that he was not on board with?

Maybe this has nothing to do with why she was killed, but it could be worth discussing.
