Colorado City Police struggle with inconsistent statements, as they work to create a time line of when 13 year old Hailey Dunn went missing. snip.......

.......Though family says she was last seen December 27th, Sunday law officials confirmed there have been inconsistencies in the families statements.

http://www.ktxs.com/news/26419095/detail.html

hmmmmmmmm............I wonder if they are doubting when she was last seen?

tehcloser, that's how I read it. Sounds like there's a possibility that no one's telling when Hailey was last seen. Has there been any confirmation about where she was Christmas day and night? Did she talk to any friends? I'm getting a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I must have missed it - did they say that anyone else besides SA has lawyered up?

I'm pretty sure that just SA has lawyered up. I just said "the family" since the three points I brought (lawyers, polygraphs, and story changing) all applied to at least one person in Hailey's family.

JMO:

I think Hailey is missing at the hands of someone who did her harm.
I don't think we will ever see her alive again.

There is something about this case that brings to mind so many others where the
outcome was not what is wanted.

I hope that I am wrong.
I hope she walks into her home tonight.

But, I don't think so.

Wouldn't it be something if SA is telling the truth and family members aren't...

we really do not know if he failed or passed poly do we?
just have BD word on that one for now.

Okay - I see what you're saying. But I think your statement could have been misconstrued to mean that add'l people (such as Clint or Billie) have lawyered up. And as far as we know, that's not the case. Thanks for the clarification.

I am having a really hard time with the fact that apparently LE can't even get enough information from the family to get a timeline going. In all the cases I have followed, that is a huge red flag.

It sure is tehcloser. No timeline, people not being honest about a child's last sighting, nope, not good. :banghead:

So in 12 days that Hailey has been missing, "the family" has failed polygraphs, lawyered up, and keeps changing their story? Hmmm....

I don't know for a fact that it was "family" that failed the polygraphs...
SA is the ONLY one that I have read that has obtained an attorney.
"There have been inconsistencies in the families statements" is part of LE statement to the press, for all we know their time when they went to work may be off by 5 minutes...we do not know what those inconsistencies are at this point.

"inconsistencies in the families statements" may very well allude to medicines or street drugs that confuse memory...just saying

I do NOT believe Hailey is a runaway at all. It does appear that there may have been family complications and thats a given when parents seperate but this 13 year old child did not run way in her flip flops.

jmo

Total speculation following..see that's kind of what I'm wondering. Unfortunately it would not be at all unusual for all of these parents to use drugs in some form or fashion....actually IMO it is often very common, although other than the dads arrest I have no idea if they do, just to be clear. I can't help but wonder though if something of that nature would cause them all to try and keep that under wraps for fear of getting into trouble, inviting DSS/CPS into their house, etc. But by doing so would not be giving LE a clear picture into the family dynamics or even a possible confrontation between parties having to do with something like that..

I don't even know if that makes any sense..as I don't feel that I can speak plainly without sounding like I have proof of something that is nothing more than speculation..

I just don't believe LE would say that publicly if their times were only off 5 minutes.................

the lack of conversation about activities for Sunday, and no communication on important events going on in the household, 'hey i am spending the night elsewhere', hey i lost my job today' says B.S. loud and clear.

No we do not. Don't know for a fact that BD failed her poly because according to LE they did not inform BD that SA failed his poly nor did they(LE) inform he that she failed hers, so who is telling the truth?

The more that keeps coming out the more I'm leaning toward it being LE that told the truth. :banghead:

That's okay, you don't have to believe that but I do. The 5 minute thing is just hypothetical, but it could be something is miniscule as that. JMOO and I DO respect your opinions and insight on cases!:blowkiss:

I think Hailey is an all around good kid. She got good grades and was well liked by students and teachers. So what if she was allowed a little bit more freedom than another parent would be comfortable with? She probably earned it.

IMO there is no such thing as a "perfect child"...well with the exception of mine;) lol Seriously though, she wasn't cutting school, getting in trouble in school, bad grades. Things that you would typically see with a troubled child or a runaway.

I think it may be negligent to assume that because HD was well liked and got good grades that it's unlikely that she was troubled or would runaway. I'm not saying I think either of those are TRUE , but I think we have to be careful. We know at the very least that there were social issues with other girls over boys.

I had PERFECT grades in school at HD's age. My teachers loved me, I had tons of friends with little issue, I often got awards for perfect attendance, honor roll, I even got an award from the president and proudly shook his hand ..... with no parent there to witness it. My home life SUCKED. I had a single mom who was never ever there and when she was she was so stressed. She suffered from depression, was manic at times, and at others downright abusive.

I'm not saying that the same is the case here ... but good grades / social / etc. aren't insurance that there isn't SOME kind of trouble brewing beneath the surface.

That LE DID NOT tell BD that SA failed his poly?

Yes, I do not think they told her. And I love the way your brain works which is why I so enjoy the back and forth with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. I can actually see LE taking it rather personally when this case recieved national attention especially when LE had a national public questioning them(LE) classifying Hailey as a runaway. I can also see LE livid as well when Billie told NG that the someone in the small town LE indicated deception showed in her BF prior to her LDT.

Does anyone KNOW when Billie saw Hailey last??

There really is not much of a timeline

bio Dads ??? ( in jail AFTER Hailey went missing)
bio Dads girlfriend can't remember
Mom was working
Haileys Brother wasn't home
Moms boyfriend is last to see her

"The story of some of the key players continues to change even as recently as last night," said Senior Texas DPS Trooper Sparky Dean. "It's very frustrating for law enforcement."

http://bigcountryhomepage.com/fulltext/?nxd_id=329616

ARE U KIDDING ME?????????????? They were still changing stories up until LAST NIGHT????????????? OMG.

ETA: No wonder they failed the $^&^%# polygraphs...............

Sorry, If there are people lying and changing their stories, I think LE should NAME THEM. To cast suspicion on the entire family IMO is WRONG and CRUEL. I know I said it before, and I am gonna say it again....every scrap of info released by LE thus far has been self serving.

IMO If Billie is lying, I'll eat my hat.
