This is something that HD had posted as status on her FB, that she was hanging out at that hotel. I know I saw it there...I don't have the link handy...

I don't think it is impossible that Hailey was snatched off of the street...but with so many people who seem to be watching out of their windows in this little town, it seems as though someone would have seen something. Because of the size of the town, and because of SA's behavior, I feel it is more likely to be a crime closer to the family.

My durango could do it on approx $75

hmm so they could have gotten drugs,gas and food... something to help them or one of them stay up all night?
Have any neighbors placed them at home with the vehicle that night?
or cell phone pings? that won't help if the phones were at the home and one or both of them were en route all night... this is bothering the heck out of me!

Clint Dunn and his girlfriend,Naomi Stewart,told the Reporter-News that Hailey Dunn had spent Christmas night at Clint Dunn's home.

"She took off those earrings and dropped them by the couch and asked me to put them up for her," Stewart said. "She asked me to pick them up for her, and I only found one of them.

It probably went under the couch and when they moved it,the earring was there.JMO

I'm watching the rerun of the Nancy Grace show and I thought Billie just said that Hailey had been wearing the new earrings every day for a week or so.

ITA. But, I can see why even if it's a slim chance that she was snatched and taken, it should be doggedly pursued by the parents and they should be pushing for help in the search until a body is found. Hope and miracles..

good question!!....The LE have probably already checked for receipts from gas stations...if gas was purchased...with a cc/db...to make such a long trip...

IMO

BD reported they were home watching a movie. Surely there would only be a need to report where they got gas before going home.

I wonder if they filled the tank or just got a few dollars worth.

I do too, I went back and watched the first video of BD on 01-06-11 on NG and she said flunked 2 and passed 1. And that someone else she doesn't know flunked it.
That is odd... why would they give it to him 3 times? To get info?

Regarding Stark... possibly a 6 hr round trip. What is the price of gas per gallon in Colorado City? The reason I ask is what IF the $140.00 from the ATM was not for drugs but for gas to dispose of HD? Would it be possible to make the trip on $140 bucks of gas?

Gas was around 2.79- 2.91 per gallon a few hours away from CC during that time, but $140 should be more than enough to drive 6 hrs. away, with some left for groceries.

Nope... they didn't find it in the house... I think he was puffing on it when they showed up. BD said that his house was never searched.

With all due respect - I take everything that BD says with a grain of salt. And especially if LE shows up at CD's door and he exhales a lung-full of pot smoke in the officer's face as he opens the door - even more so to search that house. LE did arrest him.

We will have to agree to disagree on this. With the Texas Rangers and the FBI there - CD's house was searched.

OT, but just watching the "Disappeared" episode about Molly Bish, it is heartbreaking, her family is so devoted to her. It took 7 years for Molly's remains to finally be found, and still no arrests...I already knew this case but this show really captured the feeling of the town and how they pitched in to look for her, etc...very worth watching, but very sad too.

Maybe he was smoking it outside, or at least hope so with a baby in the home. I'll never think it's okay to smoke pot, but the poor guy. Haylie goes missing and he has the added stress of a fine, probation, or whatever comes of this. Hopefully nothing that will affect a job.

They found what got him into trouble while searching,which had nothing to do with Hailey.
