By 3 p.m., almost 50 volunteers had signed on to help with the search, organized by two national organizations the KlaasKids Foundation and the Laura Recovery Center for Missing Children.
"It makes me happy," said Clint Dunn, Hailey's father. He was at the Colorado City
Civic Center to greet and thank the volunteers Wednesday morning.
"I had to come down here and see with my own eyes that there are angels," he said.
In the afternoon, Billie Jean Dunn wept openly after volunteers gathered around her and said a prayer for her daughter. Later, she thanked the volunteers.
"Thank you to all the crews that are working," she said. "We want to find Hailey happy and smiling again." <snipped>
