I wonder if she just took them off when sleeping over at her Dads and with Christmas craziness lost them.

Maybe she took them off b/c the baby might have been pulling on them.

I don't know what gauge earring are, but if they were to stretch out the earlobes and she'd worn them 2 weeks, maybe they were stretched already. Sounds painful to me, and I don't understand why a kid who doesn't appear to even wear makeup would want those huge holes in their ears.

OT: How long has this been in place? To be honest, I have not purchased an actual hard-copy newspaper here in sometime, and the online version is now pretty much useless. So, it has been about 5 yrs since the last time I seen this stuff published in our paper. My father-in-law seen in it, handed it to me, and made some comments about it. But yes, it was in there. Moms name, type of drug found in infant. I was shocked, to say the least!

It's been a few years minimum but I never really paid attention till I needed to when I got a medical job! I'd flat out drop over dead. Not that I think it's too bad of an idea to shame a person into quitting drugs.. because, he whatever works LOL!! BUT for the kid to be able to google their parents or even look them up on microfilm or something.. EEEEK
In the mental health field we have 1 release of info for mental health related stuff, and a separate subsection for substance use or abuse history of ANY kind and another subsection for HIV info!

just guessing here, but IMO..she probably was glad to see her...to play with the baby....H seems very bright, and social...and probably enjoyed a break in her day.....Most teenagers...IMO...love babies...female teens..and some male teens

That earring if not left there accidently by Hailey could have been placed there by anyone who came into that house after the morning of the 26th including whoever helped them move.

Regarding Stark... possibly a 6 hr round trip. What is the price of gas per gallon in Colorado City? The reason I ask is what IF the $140.00 from the ATM was not for drugs but for gas to dispose of HD? Would it be possible to make the trip on $140 bucks of gas?

Alot of times there is jealousy between daughter and step mom over dads attention, not accusing here but it is a thought to consider.

Carly Brucia. Had it not been caught on video I can guarantee her mother and BF would have been the number one suspects there. Amber Harris also comes to mind. Amber was originally portrayed as a run away by LE but there was evidence to show otherwise. That perp showed her a gun and made her get in his car. Devlin, Shawn Hornbecks abductor used the same MO.

And Amber DuBois too. She was a similar build to Hailey and a couple of years older. Reportedly feisty (by her mom). Gardner pulled up beside her in an alley on her way to school, told her to get in the car because he had a gun, and off they went. He raped, killed and dumped her. He never even had a gun and Amber was a smart girl. I think this is MK's point. Until there is evidence that Hailey is not alive, there are many ways a motivated perp can snatch a child (or adult for that matter) and you've got to keep looking... Perps plan out their course of action; their victims, on the other hand, are caught off guard.

Could Hailey have been playing with her baby sister and the 3 month old baby grabbed an earring and pulled it out. Babies that age are reaching for things and grabbing them and pulling on them trying to get them to their mouth. Maybe the earring fell and Hailey couldn't locate it.

good question!!....The LE have probably already checked for receipts from gas stations...if gas was purchased...with a cc/db...to make such a long trip...

Clint Dunn and his girlfriend,Naomi Stewart,told the Reporter-News that Hailey Dunn had spent Christmas night at Clint Dunn's home.

"She took off those earrings and dropped them by the couch and asked me to put them up for her," Stewart said. "She asked me to pick them up for her, and I only found one of them.

For one second put yourself in her shoes. Yes she brought her boyfriend in her life but she doesn't deserve this and MOST importantly neither does Hailey.

On another note If you want to sleuth someone who has NOTHING to do with Hailey's disappearence feel free. I am not stopping one single person from doing so. You just can't do it on Websleuths. Why? BECAUSE IT IS A WASTE OF TIME.
