That was found about a week before HD went missing, in Big Spring actually.

Well of course you can have your personal opinion, but when the lines get blurred is when you state your personal opinion and it is followed by the fact that you are media. I'm betting that there are others who are in "media" there that have the opposite feeling you do.......the difference is they are not on a public board repeating theirs. You not only have said repeatedly BD had nothing to do with it, you have said you don't like CD, because he "blew you off" at the bridge. I think it's a fine line and it's getting blurred. Also, you have made it more than clear you don't like Kampher or LE.

I should not have stated who I was, but I had figured most people figured that out by now, so that was my mistake. Can't take it back now. NEVER have I stated that I don't like our PD. I have defended them and believe they are doing the best they can at this point. I don't care for PK, and everyone in this town does know that. I don't agree that he was put in charge as the "media liason" but that does not stop me from doing my job or reporting the news as it is given to us.

Why does Billie care so much "how everyone thinks"? And I still don't get why she is so determined to point out that Hailey was alive the morning of Dec. 27th. What does that have to do with SA and 3pm? Or is it because she found out later that SA was in fact in CC that morning?

On Friday, bloodhounds were taken to the six motels in Colorado City. At Western Suites, which is located at 2233 Vine Street and is adjacent to Interstate 20 and near the Dunn home, the dogs picked up on Dunn’s scent in the parking lot, City Manager Pete Kampfer said Tuesday night.

The scent led to a door of a ground-floor room at the two-level motel that opened in July, he said, but there the trail stopped. A search of the 24 suites produced no other evidence, he said.

Cristie Roye, manager of Western Suites, said police studied surveillance tapes but did not see the missing teen. Motel staff, she said, did not recall seeing the teenager, either.

And, referring to the post you quoted: MB would not be required to provide LE with a timeline unless they believe she is hiding something, or not being truthful with them.

Why assume it checked out? Isn't LE saying that things aren't matching up? Many assume they are referring to BD, but have they actually said that? I don't recall LE saying who, what, which things aren't matching (or however they are wording it).

I'm not accusing anyone of anything. I'm just pointing out that we should be careful about assumptions, knowing so little of the actual facts.

Why would LE have to "grill" her? Questioning her whether Hailey showed up at her house, possibly prompting her to try to remember if she spoke to Hailey that day... that's not grilling, it's just part of the investigation. I see no reason for either one of them to be crying unless they had something to hide. It's normal procedure to question anyone who may have seen the missing person and I highly doubt that she was treated any differently than anyone else they questioned.
This mother is being overly dramatic, IMO.

I don't imagine they waterboarded the poor kid. I'd think that the fact her friend was missing, and had disappeared on the way to her house would be terrifying, and that, unless she/they had something to hide, it would not be terrifying to be helping the authorities find Hailey, it would make her feel good that she was doing something that might lead to the recovery of her friend. moo

What in God's name has this poor little 13 year old girl done that she is being accused of lying and hiding things in the investigation of the disappearance of her friend?

Between the bashing of her, and the bashing of the poor little 7 year old boy, well, I just don't know what to say.

We have a NAMED SUSPECT - Shawn Adkins. Have people found evidence on their own indicating this 13 year old girl and the 7 year old boy were his accomplices? Because I know there sure as heck has not been a single blessed thing like that in a single MSM article.

The bashing and finger pointing at innocent adults, particularly Clint, the father and a victim in this case, is bad enough, but when it's done to children, over and over and over again, it gets to a point where I just can't stand it.

They have outside surveillance at the motel. They even had CD going through it to see if he could recognize HD in any of the footage from that time period.

It was rumoured that the local kids used free wi fi from the hotel. They would likely stand in the parking lot, close to the motel, to pick it up. She may have been there at some other point in time using her ITouch.

I remember when I was 13, I was on the phone constantly. I find it really strange, the night of the 26th she would have not called someone...let alone the next day. I wonder how many calls or txts to her went unanswered?

That is a logical thing for someone to say who knows they were the last two people who saw Hailey. He must have gotten something from his "true crime hobby".

I believe she cares so deeply about trying to resurrect these discounted sightings for her own sake, not SA's.

As for SA, no matter what, he is reported as the last person seeing Hailey under all scenarios. By his own admission (which I think is false) he saw her 12/27 at 3:15.

Now, if it's proven that his statement about that was a lie and since none of the 12/27 sightings checked out (and the FBI knows how to investigate such claims thoroughly), Billie is back on the hot seat herself as the only confirmed sighting of Hailey is 12/26 p.m. by DD, when he left Hailey with Billie and SA.

Complicity and self preservation. If one goes down, the other is going down too.

LE has reviewed the Dollar Store tapes for both 12/26 and 12/27 (it was part of of what they did while checking out the hairdresser's claim - hairdresser originally claimed Hailey was walking toward the Dollar Store). Hailey was not there on Monday 12/27; LE has confirmed no sighting on 12/27. Hailey was on video at that location only on Sunday, 12/26.


Imo, if this lady is not lying on behalf of someone else, seems likely she got Sunday and Monday mixed up; like a lot of people on the long holiday weekend (guessing). If the lady has a receipt for Monday 12/27, she may have been by the store both days and just made a mistake about which day she saw Hailey.

Yeah, my 'tongue-in-cheek' mindset didn't come through in my written words.

This woman not only claims a receipt from a store with video, she puts 2 more people there, MB and a boy, possibly Hailey's quasi-step-brother, and I would hope at least one parent of each of these kids has some clue what their kids are doing. To me, this was a sighting that would IMO be a no brainer to determine if true or false.

MHO is LE have enough evidence to point to SA as #1 suspect and are trying to piece this together from all the inconsistence to figure out if BD was involved too.

Do you believe/know that there is/was a problem with this trio and that this conflict MAY have caused problems for HD? If HD was uncomfortable in that house and wanted to live with her Dad, what was SA doing to make HD feel that discomfort? What was BD's reaction to that tension? If SA was showing inappropriate attention to HD, was BD annoyed by that? I hope that HD is safe, I want to believe that.

LE is claiming they tried and were turned down 3 times on an Amber Alert. Do you think you, as media, would have enough clout to look into that and see if it's true or false?
