During the press conference KTXS Reporter Jacqueline Hince asked, "What is your and Shawn's relationship now, there are rumors going on about that."

I missed that rumor part. I don't want to know what they are.

Since Klemfer continues to be the spokesperson for this case, no matter how many times he contradicts himself, I have to believe that LE is satisfied with his "mixed" messages. They could certainly pull him away from microphones, if they didn't want him speaking out as freely and as head-scratchingly as he does.

she also accomplished getting HD's story back out to the media and in their heads again

I'm not so sure. I think she got HERSELF in their heads again, but I think Hailey was already there. That's JMHO and the effect it had on myself, so that's the only perspective I have to go from.

I think if there is a real person of interest that LE does not want named in public it is someone close to SA, someone that assisted in the clean up, someone that they are working another angle with and they don't want announced in the press as a POI and they lawyer up.

either way it is still back in the media which i personally saw dwindling rapidly, this in my mind is about HD, the evidence will lead LE where it leads them

DD was at his house with her cell phone. That's how I understood it.

Me too.

But I still wonder why she wanted CD to call when she clearly had access to a phone and could have called them herself.

I don't get that part at all. I mean what were they supposed to do....grab a notepad and sharpen their pencil so that when she got there they'd be ready to take notes? Who calls the police to tell them they are on the way?

It was probably because she was NOT at all home and Clint was the closest to where Hailey was last seen. I don't see the issue people are having with her asking Clint to call the police. To me it makes sense because as I said Billie was NOT at all home and Clint was there for LE to talk to etc. Time is of the essence here and I can completely understand why she would want to get the ball rolling. You figure a lot of time would have passed by if Billie would have waited to call LE.

But they're not going to tell her who they've talked to..what they said, etc..They aren't about to tell anyone..that's part of Billie's problem...or it seems to me..She's trying to pull a Cindy Anthony telling them how to run their investigation when she has NO CLUE what they discount and why..CA had an ulterior motive for doing that, imo...to shift the focus away from KC any way she could...

BBM

There's a lot of people in here on this very thread doing exactly the same thing. I just responded to a post giving my opinion of reasons LE could discount the witness sightings, and it is by far not the first time I've presented my viewpoint on it.

This witness claiming to see Hailey Monday at 8:30pm? MOO, if this were to be true, this could add credence to a runaway theory, which, IMO, gives added hope Hailey is okay and can come home alive and well. I completely understand how the mother of this missing girl could not only grasp at this, but hang on to it for dear life. What motive could this mother have for trying to find ways to make this not true?

IMO, this witness returned a Redbox movie, which means she rented it as well. IMO, it's possible she saw Hailey the day she rented it vs. the day she returned it. When LE says they can't corroborate, I'm thinking up scenarios of why it doesn't add up, because I'm not Hailey's mom.

I just kinda figured CD was used to the drama and didn't call...but that's just me.

  • #271
IMO, if some stranger or teen did something with Hailey,
I would think there would be more evidence and Hailey would be found by now.

IMO, it is still whoever lived in the house, had fantasy lives, did drugs,
liked saddist rape & murder stories, had the means and ways to make sure there is no body/no crime. JMOO

But the problem with that was that she wasn't telling him to call the police to have them come TO the home. She wanted him to call the police to tell them that she WAS ON THE WAY to the police station.

Usually when you dial 911 you get the local p.d. station perhaps if she had called from Snyder she would have gotten the wrong station where him calling from CC he would have gotten the right one.

JMO she had access to a phone at work, that's how she called DD. She didn't have cell though, she left it at home. She was leaving work to go look for Hailey, and moo but I bet she was in a panic at this point. It would take her time to call the police herself, so why not ask CD to call the police, after all, he is her father? I have to wonder why he didn't call the police like she asked? maybe he thought she was over reacting?
(I tend to over react when it comes to my kids LOL if they are a few minutes late, I tend to panic, my husband and kids have learned to 'deal' with it over the years)

Uh huh..I just bet they are..I believe that's what this presser was about to be honest. Can't expect those they would know to say when SA moves back in..but it's coming..sooner rather than later would be my guess..She would know that she better do damage control ahead of time..<MOO

Found this interesting as well, from that same article...

Authorities say they will keep searching until they find Hailey, adding that if sadly, they find a body, then an arrest will take place at that time.

That says to me 'We Know The Who' and are waiting to find Hailey..how sad. :(..How else would you explain that statement though?

I still don't get the big deal in that.

Clint is Haley's Dad so I don't see that as being weird to call. I would probably want him to call to. Both parents having not seen her. Clint has said iiirc that Haley comes over everday.

I must be missing something because I don't think the public announcement that Billie is no longer a POI in the disappearance of her daughter changes much of what we've doing here or the efforts to find Hailey. IIRC, she never was publicly announced as being a POI in the first place (though the affidavits kinda made it a no-brainer). I could see Billie pushing LE to make a public statement to that effect; a lot of what she's done throughout the case has centered around how she is being perceived by the public.

So, if Kampfer says on behalf of LE that Billie is no longer a POI in her daughter's disappearance, I'm taking that as confirmed. Maybe she took another poly and ruled herself out (that would be excellent news - great for Hailey). Maybe SA's poly indicated that Billie was uninvolved in the disappearance of Hailey. Maybe LE suspects Billie of other related activities/crimes, but not the disappearance itself. Maybe they fear she will lawyer up if they didn't make a public statement that she wasn't a POI (hard enough to get solid info from the players in this case without adding another lawyer). The status of the players is bound to change with time, new developments and as evidence emerges in the investigation. Sometimes LE can't find out who all is involved until one person cracks... LE has always said there were several POIs, so I think they believe whatever happened to Hailey was carried out by more than one person. I hope they crack someone soon and find Hailey even sooner!

What I'd still really like to know is how much forensic testing was done in the house (before the couches were removed), what evidence was found in the car, and what Hailey did on Sunday 12/26 for all the unaccounted hours in Billie's time line (when Hailey was outside of the house and on surveillance). (Im)patiently awaiting some tangibles in this case!

JMO.

What I get from todays events is SA is still their #1 suspect but there is another POI (s)out there.
They do not consider BD a POI.
By BD not being a POI I dont think they are looking at something happening that Monday night but Tuesday, the day SA quit his job.

Question: If you didnt do anything but suspected the other person did and was trying to cover up would you be considered a POI or not?

What does POI apply to? Just direct involvement?

Right, but didn't Billy also say she stopped at home in case Hailey came home? Then she proceeded to text friends, etc.? I do find this strange.
